Hello guys. I'm having major issues in setting up FSX properly. I've had my computer for a year now but still believe FSX isn't running right. I have a i72600k overclocked to 4.5ghz and a Nvidia GTX580 so I know that my PC is capable. I've tried and tried and tried to get this thing running to how I believe it should but I'm struggling! I have the PMDG 737, Ground Environment X Europe and Real Environment Extreme installed but I'm not happy with the performance. Micro stutters, poor frame rates etc. What I am resorting to asking is if there is anybody out there willing to set FSX up for me, I'd actually deliver you my PC to your door and even pay for you to do this! With REX Esssentials Plus solving the issues w/ their weather engine behavior to a level I have been very satisfied w/, I'm left now seeking an add-on to add some more realism in the area of camera shake and whatever else might be gleaned. One camera effect I sorely miss from FS9 days is in spot view one could keep the plane in the foreground and zoom out on the background scenery, and this stopped w/ FSX. Does either product add this feature back do you know? Anyway, for those who use both Opus & EZDOK, which do you prefer for camera effects? My question is not about the weather engine, and I've read the many good reports on Opus for this component. Thanks…

This has probably been done already but what strange mixture of addons or advice that work for FSX or FS9 do you have. I for instance run this: 3d Clouds from WorldEnvironment2012 Cirus clouds from AS2012 Sky textures from REX-Essential Airport textures from Airport EnhancerHD (some times) not even sure whether i'm using them right now. Voxatc controlling Ultimate Traffic FXAA tool Was also using Shade. with all this. I must say FSX looks feel great now.

The World certainly seems full of negativity and it's Christmas, so as a counterpoint to the topic "Regretted purchases" here are my "great purchases" FSX, it's given me hundreds of hours of pleasure. PMDG 737NGX, the best sim aircraft I have ever flown, Aivlasoft EFB, just a really usefull product, I can even acces all my manuals whilst flying! Here are two tools that capture data during landing (LandingSnitch) and take-off (TOD). You will need a registered version of FSUIPC. Besides the obvious use in training, monitoring pilot performance and evaluating aircraft model performance, they can be very useful in calibrations needed after latest developments in FSX friction coefficients. Data like Vapproach, pitch, rate of descent at touchdown, landing distance, ground roll (and many more) are captured without any user intervention. Just a quick question. i like too speed up my flights between take off and landing and sometimes the ATC dissconects me because i cant press the command quick enough at that speed. so, should i stay conneced to ATC throught the flight?

Lately I have been trying to fly 'Long Haul' and have been unable to complete my flight due to FSX closing to the desktop. It isn't a CTD or a Fatal Error, It just randomly closes, but the icon on my Taskbar shows that FSX is still running. There are no programs that pop up saying they need updating. Its a problem I haven't come across before! Any help? Regards Ciaran.

I've recently noticed a problem where many of my airport buildings simply vanish or pop in-and-out when I get close to them, such as when I taxi. I believe this is happening with add-on airports only, but I am not certain. Has anyone had a similar problem and is there a solution?

Is anyone able to recommend a decent Fairchild Metroliner with VC for FSX. I've searched the file libraries resulting only in FS2004 models, or modified FS2004 for FSX models with only 2D panels.

Professional Flight Planner X (PFPX)

Hello, I have tried for some time to chase Danish repaints for any of my GA fleet without success. Avsim, Flightsim, Flightsim.no, FSnordic etc. Denmark is covered quite well with FSX addon sceneries, both freeware and payware, but it seems there is just no GA paints available, or has anybody seen them? Bigger planes and military is also well covered.

This was a re-install! Installed into C:\ MSGames\FSX. Observed all the "rules" viz: Disabled UAC/AVAST and Microsoft Security Essentials/ usedCustom Install/All Users Again oberved all the rules prior and during install SP1 and 2. Installed FSUIPC..rules ditto Everything in FSX itself worked...... 0K! I installed two of my favourite GA aircraft... OK. I then installed FSC; again observing all the "rules" and this seemed to go without any hitch. However, although I Had all the features present on FSC MAP view, no aircraft appeared at my airfield location and I had no GPS . I was also unable to build the FSX database. I carried out a full uninstall of FSC and…

I have looked at my scenery.cfg and found that the entries are not in exact numerical order in that there are several missing area numbers. My question is does this make any difference. If so, should I manually edit it and put them in numerical order with no missing areas? Thanks, Bob.

I'm trying to find some guidance on use of the two fuel tanks in the C337. Today I was flying and both my levers were set on red (front and rear fuel off)... but I was drawing fuel from the front tank. The rear tank was half full but no fuel was being drawn from it. The worst part is if I'm on the green or yellow selections, and I turn ON fuel pumps to HI, then switch between the yellow and green (passing through the red), my engines still dies. Shouldn't the pump supply the pressure in the line while you switch from yellow to red zones? What should I be doing?

Do any of you remember the name of this website? It was like a map of the US and you could click to zoom into different regions and then download individual tiles or tiles in a package. I have the scenery around KDEN right now and love it, however I also have the scenery for around KSFO which is good, but lower res than the KDEN scenery and bugs be when I land in Flightbeam SFO. I want to find the website so I can find the name of those files to delete out of my directory, and also to check out what new offerings they might have. Anyone remember? Google isn't finding it easily or maybe i'm just blind.

One of the options in REX downloads is "DXT5 Optimized Clouds". I googled DXT5 and haven't really got a good definition of what that means. Anyone with familiarity with DXT5, please chime in a provide an answer of what this means and if and when someone would want to use this option. Thank You in advance!
