Hello, I’m new here and I’m doing a school Project (two years long). The project is about aeronautical design and I want to design an aircraft for FSX. I wonder if anyone could give me some advice and tell me how to do that. I know there is some design software but I don’t know what program would be the best and how to use then the design in FSX. SORRY FOR WRITING PLAINS INSTEAD OF PLANES, I AM NOT AN ENGLISH BORNED SPEAKER. IF THE ADMIN OR ANYONE CAN CHANGE THE TITLE I WILL BE GRATEFUL.

good evening. I downloaded and installed the activesky 2012 SP2 Beta B4696 and am having windshift issues with it on various payware a/c including the wilco 330. Can someone whos not having any issues with it, can they copy their fsxoptions.cfg // fsuic settins and fsx settings many thanks in advanced.

I tried the demo of OpusFSX and loved it. I just purchased it today, but am now experiencing continuous updating above FL220. I have updates disabled on approach will cruise set as above 2800 and updates disabled below 2600 with updates disabled for 10 minutes. I don't know if the continuous updates are just being disabled for the first 10 mins and then it's starting, or if it's actually linked to the flight levels. Either way, it's updating about every 5 seconds. Can anyone help with this? Hello Everyone. Im new to Avsim but I'm a very experienced Flight Simmer. This year I built a brand new 2000 euro custom rig but not achieve the results I want in terms of FPS. The main components in my system are. Intel i7 2700k Over clocked to 4.5 ghz. Corsair H80 Water cooler. Asus P8P67 Pro rev 3.1 Motherboard. EVGA GTX 550 TI Graphics Card. ( Latest Driver) OZC Petrol 128 Gig SSD ( OS) 1TB WD Caviar Black HDD ( FSX DRIVE) I have auto overclocked the processor to 4.5 Ghz when its needed. Next week I am receiving a new PC in order that I can play FSX as it should be seen. I therefore need to buy a new keyboard and mouse and I am wondering whether any one could recommend anything that they feel is suitable to use with FSX. I have PMDG 737 with FS2 Crew and therefore I do programme certain keys for this add on. There are loads a keyboards out there in the market place but I often find that it is better to buy based on recommendation. Many thanks in anticipation.

hi guys Is there away to call the weather report to screen by hitting a key and/or a button the joystick ? That would be so nice when I get my hands firmly stuck on a chopper collective and cyclic :wink: ...

Does anybody have some solution to the incessant crashing??? There must be something that can stop it. I love the enb series so much, but I have gone a month without it and I think I'm having withdrawels! Was there ever a fix made?

Hi there, This problem is driving me crazy. Running FSX with acceleration on Dell XPS with [email protected] and 4gb ram running Win7 64bit. Problem is that after install all ran well for quite a while. Now, without changing any settings the audible ATC voice (and in mission) has dissappeared, the text still appears on the screen but nothing is said out loud. Checked all settings and can't see anything wrong. Any body any ideas without having to reinstall from scratch. Thanks in advance.

Is there way to start a flight with the parking breaks set?

Was reading the Wikipedia take on FSX and was surprised to see that they claim the following under HARDWARE COMPATIBILITY: " There is also a bug which involves an incompatibility with Windows 7 where it causes a 'Fatal Error', which Microsoft has yet to correct." I've never heard of this and use Windows 7 all the time. Seems like nonsense to me. Somone should edit it.

I Have a question for our more knowledgeable members (Read "Those who have been fltsimming much longer than my sorry self has." ) The old Alphasim A-3B has operating bomb bay doors which are trriggered in FS9 by the "Extend and Retract Concorde nose and visor" keys. Unfortunately in FSX these keys are labled differently and don't work with the FS9 addons. I've also noted this in some other FS9 addons being used in FSX too. Does anyone have a solution for this situation? This one's got me stumped?

Hi, I was wondering how I could make a switch interact with fsx, so I could make my own cockpit. Would it be possible to take the keyboard controller from inside a usb keyboard and wire up a switch that connects to the G key so when I flip the switch, it put the gear up or down? Thanks, Zach

Just bought MMMX V2 by taxi2gate (and all updates) and I get this flashing texture issue. Maybe I can fix it myself but I will also take it up with them. Cheers/Greg Here is a shot....

Does anyone have a fix for the prop in the Simshed Tucano when used in FSX? The model is superb in so many ways, but in FSX when I view scenery through the spinning prop in spot view, the autogen that falls within the prop circle disappears. I have the same issue with the Wessex rotors from the same designer. These otherwise fantastic models are a wee bit spoiled by this characteristic in the FSX environment. Suggestions, fixes and solutions are welcome.. - Kenneth

Hi Opus (Stephen & Cheryl) First of all, thank you for some simple software that really is in its own class However my AI-traffic is landing in the wrong wind directions, did I miss some setting or isn't it implemented yet? Also you should make an selection for short hops, because I have trouble reading metar of my destination if less then 200 km. As far as I remember the short route i mostly fly is less then that. I think it would be nice to be able to check the metar from the in game access window. I guess it would have to read the metar of the destination only, since weather distance implementation probaly shouldn't be fiddled with How are windws …

Hi, I am conducting a rough non-scientific survey to try to ascertain what % of users of FSX use TrackIR. On another forum I said I thought it was about 1/10 and someone else said only about 1/100 which I believe is miles off! So, please don't just reply if you're a TIR user, it's really important that those simmers that don't currently use TIR also respond too. Many thanks.

Ever since I installed FTX EU im experiencing a problem with the sea out side of Europe heres a screenshot - If I change it back to FSX Default on FTX Central it fixes however my ground textures in England look terrible Thanks Jacob

Im looking at buying some payware airliners and want to hear from those who have been down this path before me. Looking at... MD-80/83/88 B747-200 CRJ or ERJ Primarily looking at cockpit quality and systems fidelity, then exterior model. I have done alot of reading up on the Flight1 Super 80 Pro and like this one, but want to hear from others who own different packages. I'd love a good ole 747-200 especially an old freighter model with a nice steam gauge cockpit, but with a flight management system for my long hauls if such a beast even exists. This week I converted the FS9 versions to FSX,whereby I connected them to the standard FSX A320 panel . Selecting,flying, landing,all worked well untill I wanted to start for another flight and selected push back and then nothing happened. Even the animated pushback car comes forward,touches the nosegear and then returns to his startposition again. Switching to another plane brings the pushback possibility back again. So it seems it has something to do with the Project Fokker planes. Anybody an idea what the culprit might be ? Hans. Win XP sp3 and FSX sp2

I didn't know this so just in case you didn't either.. If you like to run FSX in Full Screen, and use your 2nd monitor for other applications... Press the Windows key + p ... pick your monitor setup.. Start FSX Press the Windows key + p ... pick your dual monitor setup..

I've been considering getting this but cant seem to find the answer on their website. At what altitude does the ground scenery (GEX) disappear and the photoreal FS Altitude appear? Second, do the transitions blend or is it just like a switch going on and off, one second your looking at GEX and then the next photoreal? I wouldnt mind seeing a video of this in action if anyone has one. Thanks, Jim
