Has anyone seen a photoscenery for the big island of Hawaii, so far I have managed to find photosceneries for most other islands but not for this biggest one... Both payware and freeware are OK to me, I just wish to know if such a scenery exists for it or if I have to create it myself. Lately I have started to feel like flying somewhere in tropic again to escape harsh Finnish winter, Hawaii thanks to its good scenery coverage and not too long distances between islands would sure be interesting place to fly around. I simply want to have photoreal coverage for all of those islands, tired of default textures. :smile:

I'm currently using the TrackIR4 camera and the TrackIR5 software. I'm new to FSX (Just started a few weeks ago) but have been using the TrackIR setup with other games for quite some time now. As you might imagine, FSX and its style of flying is quite a different animal from the combat sims I'm used to (More looking at gauges, pilotage, and enjoying scenery...less yanking and banking and dodging missiles ). As such, I'm having a hard time getting a good TrackIR profile setup the way I like it and I seem to have gotten to that point in tweaking that I've fiddled with it so much...that it all looks the same now and I think I'm starting to make it worse and not bet…

Hi guys, I'm new to FSX and this forum. I really like the sim but have a problem with wierd spirals on my screen. Hi All, Looks like speaking up about OPUS jinxed me! I cannot get OPUSFsx to load real weather at KATL for some reason. Everywhere else seems to function just fine. I am getting no wind, with SCT4400 and BKN9000. Baro is 29.99. Any ideas? This is putting a crimp on my MD-88 Delta ops. Thanks Dan

Having just brought Experience X it got me thinking about night time flying. I'm also a little worried that I'm the only one that suffers from one of those experiences that stays with you for the rest of your life? Hello, I am also having the ORBX PNW CTD as described here http://forum.avsim.n...nt-fsx-crashes/ and know the latest version of FSUIPC4 corrects this. If this fix does not correct my CTD problems or causes a slew of other problems (I don't think my FSX is 100% stable yet) can I just uninstall FSUIPC? Is the uninstallation an easy process? Found this video on youtube that compares the differences between the two makes of the Airbus A320 for FSX. http://youtu.be/rW0VMQNHfZU One of the major differences is actually the ILS that the both plane uses. The Aerosoft Airbus X is capable of landing without disengaging the AP before touchdown. The Wilco Airbus A320 requires you to disengage the AP few hundred feet above sea level and do your final descend on your own. I'm curious to know though, for real life flying of the A320. Hello all, I have had ORBX PNW for some time now but rarely, if ever, fly in the Pac. NW? Seattle ARTCC hosted FNO recently so I decided to fly up there to take advantage of the ATC. I forgot how amazing the scenery is and have been obsessed with that area ever since. Alright, Im sure there's tons of posts the exact same on this forum but I'm trying to figure out the differences in P3D compared to FSX. Is it that P3D is more stable than FSX and doesn't have any CTD's / Is it a new simulator altogether? Anyone else have EA's Origin digital game service installed? If so you may have gotten access to the beta update that integrates twitch.tv game streaming into the client. I heard about this last month but didn't opt in to the beta and now Origin auto-updated and I have it. I had actually created a twitch.tv account (free) a few weeks ago intending to start streaming flights but it was a lot of work to get all the streaming tools set up and I just didn't feel like putting that much effort into it. Can't post copyrighted material (yes I read Tom's email) but I was perusing some photos taken from on high of cloud formations below when I realized it's the swirling from local wind/pressure effects on clouds that is sorely missing from anything I've seen so far for FSX. That is something you see quite a bit in the real world (I'm not a real pilot) and I think would add a huge sense of realism that is as I say missing from FSX weather generation. I wonder if it already exists in any weather addons, or if it would be possible by using an 'out-of-the-box' means of generating weather w/ existing tools. Noel

I was looking at the library and came across these beautiful paints of the Azul Brazilian EMB-195 that uses the aia model and had a question about them. I have all the woai packages and I see that the aia model is used by woai so can I just "add" those paints to the woai package and assign flight plans to them?. Also, I want to use some of the different liveries for Southwest from the library but the package from woai only uses a few. Can I "add" those textures to the woai Southwest package and they will be implemented by woai? I have asked some of these questions in the woai forum, but I always get better responses with avsim. thanks so much.

I think this is pretty outstanding. The preview slideshow says it does not impact FPS. But the detail of the overall scenery is amazing i dont know how that could not impact FPS. There is some preview screenshots in their forum. When I initiate a flight, "Fly Now", the scenery and other loading processes complete fine and I am placed at my destination. However, if I exit to change a setting for instance, and "Fly Now", FSX crashes to a grey screen while loading terrain (crashes at 0%). It appears that any subsequent attempts to fly after the initial configuration has been loaded fails. Has anyone had similar experiences that could share their means of resolution? Or perhaps someone has a theory on what may be happening in this case that may be creating this problem. This is very frustrating when you simply want to change the time or parking location for instance.

For the past two weeks I have not been able to load recently saved flights, sometimes AI planes sink into the ground and lean forward and sometimes the ground seems to disappear underneath my plane and the plane keeps on bouncing. Anybody had this? Should I reinstall, maybe even Windows.

I currently have 2x128gb SDD . 1 is for windows 1 is for FSX The FSX drive is full. how can I transfer some of scenery etc over to the empty SSD and have them still point to fsx thanks

Hi! Does Opus only work with Track Ir 5 software or does it also function with the Track Ir version 4? I just set up a complete new system with a clean and fresh install of FSX on Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit (also just installed 1 day ago), but as soon as I try to install the Track Ir 5 software, I get an error message during install, and after that, Track Ir starts, but FSX doesn't start anymore... Only way to get it working again, is to un- and reinstall it. I did that twice, so actually I'd like to stay with Track Ir 4. Thanks in advance!
