For those of you who desire (or need) low rez textures for your Milviz Baron B55, they have posted a revised download with "corrected" bump maps @ http://www.milviz.co...B-55_LowRez.zip Be advised that I think tthe "ADD to aircraft.cfg" file still contains an error in the "sim=" line. In the new download these lines read "sim=Beech_B55" I think they should be corrected to "sim=b55_7" First get the name of your B55 .air file. On my system it is b55_7.air. If it is the same on yours (i suspect it is), then go into your aircraft cfg and for each of the fltsim entries, change the sim= parameter from Beech_B55 to b55_7 or whatever the name of your airfile is. Hello I was wondering whether anyone had come up with the idea to develop a quality DC-10 for FSX. I've got Thomas Ruth's model, however it lacks an INS and I am not savvy enough to mess about with CIVA INS and panel.cfg. (If there is a file on the interweb let me know ) I have also got the JustFlight DC-10 collection, however I personally find the virtual cockpit environment horrible. (Though the external model is rather nice) So... are these the only DC-10's around? Are there any developers planning on recreating this plane? I get tired of some addons that are very high quality, but just are missing important things. For example, PMDG makes the best airplanes but not having weather radar on the ND is a huge issue with me. I wish Captain Sim and PMDG had a baby... Anyway, I find myself mainly flying now the Carenado Cessna 208 after I added the Reality XP GNS430 and WX-500. Are there any quality addons that have everything? Weather, reality-xp compatible, even some rain effects on the cockpit windows? I'm hoping the Q-400 gets released in the next few months, it looks like it has everything.

Hi i haven't been on AVSIM much i just came back from Brazil today. How is the weather for flying in North America or Europe ? I see the latest topic is the Airbus X Extending release , so might get it tomorrow . But beside that i haven't seen many topics about VFR flying this month . I guest since it isn't that cold this winter or no heavy winter storm has hit the US this year thanks good. I don't know but i like flying in extreme winter condition with heavy snow an gust winds. Hey all, Long story short. I reinstalled FSX today after formatting my system. Upon running it, I was getting sound skipping and periodic freezing. I presumed FSX was being FSX and hugely temperamental. I then uninstalled: FSX, UTX, GEX, REX, NGX, MTX and a load more...90gb a whole day of installing....... Hiya folks... Quick query... Will FSX accept inputs from 2 duplicate sets of joysticks/throttles? I'm wondering if I had 2 Saitek X52's plugged into the same PC, could 2 people share the same cockpit and fly together.. Would FSX accept inputs from whichever stick is moving or whichever throttle is moving? Trying to work out a way this could be done so that when teaching cadets the principles of flight and stuff, instead of the old method of pointing and telling "do this, do that" method, would be great to be able to show them, then have them do it themselves, with 2 sets of controls, or I do a take-off, and they do circuits, so they can swap persons while I keep …

Hi all, I have taken a lot from this community recently and thought I'd give a bit back. Over the past 3 days I have spent a lot of time setting up FSX, then formatting a resetting up across a few systems to determine the optimal way to install for people not interested in lengthy guides. I am almost over my transition from EzDok to Opus camera feature and am really starting to enjoy it as much as i did before switching to Opus, but still have a little glitch i don't seem to be able to get rid of. This could very well be something i am missing in the settup process, so this is what is happening. I use windowed mode (Which i have to do) when doing my camera views settup and I have the cameras switching as smooth as silk from view to view (FMC to LH seat for instance), but when i am satisfied with my setting and switch to full screen mode (Which is how i fly), i get this anoying camera shake right before the camera switches over to the selected view.…

What are the main differences between the Wilco and Aerosoft Airbus offerings? I have ploughed through the recent threads, but am still unsure what the significant differences in features are. I hope this has not already been posted before, but I am having trouble with the Airbus Xtended preflight. While completing the taxi checklists, and with no rudder pedals, I can not move the rudder "full left" or "full right". The manual way does not work, both with and without autorudder. I am trying to install the latest BETA and having the same problem I did with the last one. Per the instuctions on the Flight1 Forum I uninstalled my previous version.
