Hi For years i have used RC4 and its been excellent, but just searching through my sent email box for the number of times i have had to rerequest license key cause i move folders around on PC, or upgraded HDD to SSD etc, its shocking number of key requests sent. For comparison As2012 was on the same HDD i moved to SSD and AS2102 auto updated its license did not ask me to email wait reply for another key in some time T in future. Much granted this license procedures are there to protect against piracy, but this RC4 license solution is a step too far, too inconvinient considering the average FSX PC is getting upgraded in some shape or form every month. Currently I'm enjoying A LOT flying WinAir BN-2 Islander routes at FlyTampa's TNCM scenery. It's bloody awesome! One session of flying looks like this: 1. TNCM - SABA 2. SABA - TNCM 3. TNCM - TFFJ 4. TFFJ - TNCM Every flight duration is around 20 minutes, so the flights are not boring like the airliner ones, where IFR ATC can only awake you while cruising. FlyTampa did a great job with this scenery for sure. Although ground textures are very low res, that's the part I don't understand considering this is a scenery made mainly for props and twin props, and generally short flights with cruise altitudes not above 3000ft. Anyone have any ideas on how to taxi at a consistent speed. I have the default throttle control settings and usually taxi by increasing speed but speed will usually increase too high and then I have to decrease speed until I'm almost at a standstill. I can't get the throttle to taxi at a consistent speed. Any good throttle settings or programs that would help me?

I always thought that the only difference between FSX SP2 and Acceleration was a few new aircraft, scenery and missions. Having used SP2 for the first time I see a lot of bugs in misssions and other places that weren't present in Acceleration. It makes me wonder if there are even more differences between the two. Seems to me Acceleration fixes more bugs than SP2. Anyone know? This could mean for instance that tweaks work differently in SP2 and Acceleration.

I've been looking all over the internet (so to speak) to find out which default airports you can try the GSX demo on but I can't find the information (why the heck doesn't FSDreamteam simply tell this on their site?!?). Anyone here who can tell me? I don't feel like downloading and installing it without knowing where I can use it...

For some reason when flying on autopilot, all of my RXP equipped planes veer off course after FSX has been running for a while. It's not just the 530 (or the Piaggio) but any RXP GPS with any plane's autopilot. When I select NAV with GPSS steering you can see that the plane is slightly right of course. Pressing "D" doesn't work (I thought that might be the issue here - gyro drift bug) Any ideas?

Hello, Just wondering which one of these addons really catches your eyes, for me i would say the ngx due to the cockpit design is really neat and sleek. i would also have to say the system on the aircraft is immaculate, nothing missed out. i have to say the ngx has done it for me although the airbus x also has some very nice addons however the cockpit just does not give me the same feeling like the ngx. many thanks.

Greetings Folks, I used to use FRAPS as my tool to record flights. Recently I've upgraded my rig and now have a 4 monitor set up. Two monitors are standard 1280x1024 LCD DVI. Two are 1600x1200 touch screen VGA->MiniDisplay connector. My Radeon HD 7850 has two DVI and two MiniDisplay. For whatever reason the frist MiniDisplay is considered monitor 1. When I start FRAPS it uses the default "1" display which is, of course, is the wrong display. There is no way to tell FRAPS to use a different display. I tried HyperCam2 but display drivers are causing issues which ends up being just a black video. I tried Action! but all that does is crash FSX. If a…

Has anyone come across this problem before and if so do you have an answer... please. The only time I get a CTD in FSX is when I try to open the ATC window. Most of the time it's ok but crashes when the window has been undocked before and moved to a second monitor. I run FSX windowed. I've tried replicating the problem with a docked ATC window - no problem. I've tried replicating the problem with an undocked window positioned over the main FSX display - no problem. Only when the ATC undocked window is not positioned over the main display. Not very serious but it would be nice to use all the 'extras' on monitor 2. TAI.

Hi to everybody. Im a new member in forum and i would like your help. I recently install FSX in Win7 and i have problem with ILS sound. i cannot listen that "beep" when approchin ILS. I have search a lot in the net for solution but nothing. Its the only noise that i can't listen. I have check everything from setting in pc to settings in game but no solution. Please if someone can help me. Btw in my sister's pc with the same installation the sound exists.....

Dear All, Despite AS2012 being a quantum leap vs FSX weather, I still experience lots of clouds redraws in mid flight :( (Using DWC and all the latest patches). A few post have suggested Opus seem to have solved that issue. What are you views/experiences. Best Regards Fulcrum

That ad up there in Avsim webpage corner has been tempting for a while. I went to UK2000 web site but found no information concerning what steps are to taken. The reason I ask is because I bought a pair of airports from there some years ago and there was something annoying in the process and I have forgotten what it was. Seeing the forum posts it seems the anti-virus false alarms are there too, but if I remember right I had to resize my fonts or something equally stupid to get the activation code. I can't find any reviews on it anywhere online. Anyone here have it? I plan on using it for the NGX of course but also any of my any jets from the BAe-146 to the DC-9. Hi For panning around FSX, i frequently use the Spot and Locked Spot views by holding down space bar and panning around outside with the mouse. For some reason when panning around in these view modes, FSX is inclined to default back to the tail view which is quite annoying and disrupts my view when panning around in Spot or Locked Spot views. Not sure what is causing this but I don't recall having this issue before. Maybe something to do with my Live Camera settings since installing OpusFSX? Not sure. Any ideas why? Thanks in advance.

Hello all. I'm looking for some photorealistic scenery add-ons for the UK for FSX. I mainly want this to aid VFR navigation at low levels (2000 feet, etc.) My first inclination was to go for the traditional GEX/UTX pairing, as this was the popular choice, but then others tell me it isn't a huge improvement for the UK. Anybody got any suggestions as to what I should go for? One other suggestion was UK2000 - thoughts? I'm quite happy to invest in payware, but if there's any good freeware around then even better! Oh, and whilst you're here, any thoughts on the UK2000 airports packs, too? Thanks very much!

I'm about to purchase EZCA and am hoping profiles are available for the 3 aircraft I fly regularly. The PMDG 747, Carenado 208, and Quality Wings Avro RJ Can someone point me in the direction of profiles for these airplanes or share theirs? Thanks

Hi folks. This is just a little heads up on a problem that I kept having - and I know I'm not alone - with FSX crashing on a semi regular basis. It would perhaps crash once every two days or something. Then here before christmas I had a more serious issue with my pc: Over night it started crashing regularly, and very often. After a few days of coming up empty, I noticed that it was crashing almost every hour - on the clock. I was at my witts end when I finally came across an article relating to my model SSD disk. It described my problem to a tee, saying that when the disk has run 8000 hours, and you havent updated the firmware for your disk, it will stop working after 1 h…

Got to thank the AMAZING flight simmer community for tons and tons of valuable info that has enhanced my FSX experience in the last couple weeks since I got my hands on the software. Found the following resource for configuring camera views and just had to create some 'approach/taxi' cam views that I felt was sorely missing. Not for the hardcore simmers preference of viewing the world from inside the confines of your virtual cockpit, but for training I wanted views that showed a rear camera/front facing/top down angle of the whole aircraft and the land below (the default tail view doesnt do that for me). …

Hi, I've edited my camera.cfg file to add some new fixed cameras. I have put shortcuts to them and they work fine. I would like to add a few more but in the FSX config I can only assign shortcuts to cameras 5-9. Is there anyway to add more?
