I understand how to fly the plane using a flight plan on the FMC with the autopilot. But I am unable to use the autopilot when I take off without a flight plan in the FMC. I can control neither the altitude, nor the speed, nor the pitch, nor the heading with the autopilot, and the autopilot switch will not come on when I press it. Neither can I grab the glideslope when I try to use the ILS although I have the correct frequency and runway heading. I am sure this must be possible, and I can do it with all other planes including the PMDG NGX and 747, as well as smaller planes like the Turbine Duke nd others. Taking off this morning in a snowy JFK with only 15fps on the ground and departure, I was wondering if the autogen fix in p3d can be ported over to fsx? I believe in p3d the autogen does not take up so much processing power, and there is no popup.

Just really a repost from the official Majestic forums...thought I'd post here to see if anyone can shed some light on it. Basically up here in chilly Alberta, I'm finding it impossible to get the cabin warm at all. I can only manage duct temps around 15ish degrees regardless of bleed source and packs..etc. Anyone else having these issues? Patrick

I have taken the advantage of black friday FSDT 30% discount sale. Bought GSX today and was eagerly to see the ground crew work, but unfortunately can't seem to get it work without crashing. It seem the add-on wanted me to download the standalone addon Manager over and over again. I got the message "The Couatl scripting Engine has encounted an unrecoverable error and will be restarted. Please download the latest stand-alone Addon Manager" at start up. Then crashed as I call up the ground crew at gate. I know I should have address this problem at the FSDT forum, as I have never register on their forum so it will probably take a while for them to activate my forum regis…

Hey all, Is it me or are others out there who are using Aerosim's 787 product finding the ground equipment behaving odd. So with all engines off and APU running, I attempt to press shift E then keys 2, 3, 4 to open selected doors but only see Front Left Hand Door (L1 )open and close each time I attempt to hold down Shift, E then wait for 2 seconds before pressing 2,3,4, still nothing. HMM!! I then think, start the engines up whilst sitting at the gate and then magic, Cargo Doors open, Catering Trucks and doors open, they appear and disappear with the press of the selected keys. Strange, unrealistic to have this occurring whilst the engines are running at the Gate. …

If you like flying in the Miami area or just flying in South Florida in general I recommend you jump over to PC Aviator and pick up the Miami City 2012 for FSX while it is still on sale (40% off thru Aug 9th). I have the Sim Savvy photo scenery for the entire state and the Ft. Lauderdale X Revisited photoscenery that joins the Drzewiecki Design Miami City to the North. This DD scenery package covers a large area, much larger than most add on sceneries and has 3 major airports included. I just got P3D V2, and FSX looks SOOO much better than P3D... P3D looks like crap. I don't understand all this fuss over P3D -There is no home screen... #####? -Graphics are horrible compared to FSX -Frames are worse -Water looks horrible -No OOM improvement -Lack of Addon Compatibility -FSX is like $30 one time fee, P3D is like $300, and $60 for an "academic version" with watermarks and limitations -No missions -P3D has loads of bugs FSX has worked fine, error and OOM free for me since day 1.

Hi after having to buy a new gtx, I read I should delete my shader file? Is this right and where can I find it? It's was not a big upgrade as I will get a new PC new year, my gtx480 packed in so I bought a gtx660 to tie me over, it has 2gb memory where the 480 only had 1, no idea if it's a much faster card. If I delete my shade will I see any difference? Thanks

Up until 2 weeks ago, my PAPI and my GS indication coincided when crossing the end of the runway of a default airport. Usually the Threshold Crossing Height was between 50-60 agl and if I slewed an aircraft to the height that centered the GS, the PAPI would also show on Visual Approach Path. ( I am aware that VGSI on many airports DO NOT coincide but on the FSX default for the most part they did). Now, however, if I bring the aircraft to the height that centers the GS needle the PAPI lights show too high. All my AI traffic is gone, even the ORBX Australian AI although I enabled it in the ORBX control panel. the bgl file is still disabled .Any ideas? Ron

I find both default/Project OpenSky 737 flight models to arcadish. Is there any good, close to realistic aircraft.cfg file? Does anyone know what is the best freeware 737 package in terms of flight physics (model)? I'm also interested in freeware 767. Shoot. Thank you in advance.

Hey guys, running FSX Win 7 64 bit fully updated with FSX Accelerated SP2, homebuilt machine. Intel 3770K, ASUS P8Z77-V Board, Corsair 8GB, EVGA 670GTX, running to a triple head 2 go at 1280X1024 (X3). This is a reformat to SSD and new CPU and never had this problem before but it is happening frequently now. I run in VC 24/7 with no cockpiy visible as this is soley for outside view only. When changing positions, or different airports, or sometimes changing the time of day, FSX turns all black and only the AutoGen is visible. Sometimes I can get it back by reloading a second time, or changing the time a 3rd time. However most of the time this is unrecoverab…

Hi there, Just trying to get Opus working with P3D V2 and am having a few issues. I downloaded and installed the latest version (3.36.1) and followed the reinstall instructions. Then I set up FSXServer to point to my P3D V2 install (on a different drive). My issues are: - even though I created and set up prepar3d.xml, the server doesn't autostart with P3D. - If I manually start the server, it is defaulting into demonstration mode (even though the OPUS Software and OPUS FSX directories are as recommended, and worked fine with FSX).
