It is 4th of December, and the whole eastern Europe is covered with snow. And that is the fall texture set! And guess what, at the moment in Europe the situation is not even close to that. In FSX is a freakin' ice age! I'm ok with that when I fire up FSGRW or similiar weather app, and the weather is snowy. But when the weather is clear, and without snow for days, I can't accept whiteness all over. Is there any was to change that?

As many of you, I was highly disappointed after I bought the Douglas DC-6B from JustFlight. Graphically it's fine, both outside and in the VC, but it suffers from poorly modelled systems, highly unrealistic engine performance and bad sounds. With a few very simple modifications, you will have a completely different aircraft. It seems to perform more or less as the DC-6B is supposed to when it comes to performance. I'm personally into advanced aircraft with complex systems like the A2A Boeing Stratocruiser, and even after these modifications the DC-6 will be a bit on the simple side system-wise. Hello Gang!Can anyone provide some guidance as to how I can solve this problem at LPMA in FSX???? The picture says it all! FSX has this airport altitude at 711 but the real LPMA only sits at 192 feet. If I open the airport using ADE and fix the alitude, a hughe hole gets created inside of that protruding piece of earth, not solving the problem.Thanks for any insight!Sincerely,Dennis D. I usually fly POSKY 737 with FSND upgraded cockpit + FTXG + SceneryTech + PFE (ATC) + FSGRW + MyTraffic at 35%. I'm not currently using any addon airport (only default). On takeoffs FPS is around 45-50, durong cruise ~60fps, but on approches, especially on finals, fps is ~20-30, no matter what airport. I've tried to set AI to 0%, and FPS is better by couple of frames. Closed FSGRW, fps is the same, so it is not the culprit. Then on the last approach, I lowered autogen from dense to normal and fps was ~35-40. After that I set autogen back to dense, and fps is 42fps! Clearly it is an autogen problem, but I'm clueless why. When I first started this hobby, it seemed Italy was a big player. I have fond memories of Lago, and the Maddog, my first payware add-on. It came in a box with a nice manual. There was a nice LIRF, and a good freeware LIML, and maybe even an LIRN. I also remember a great complex approach in southern Italy (although the name escapes me). Of course, the Maddog is still with us, but it seems the scenery has dried up. Thanks to Aerosoft, Germany is covered. I seem to remember comments that some payware developers believe certain countries are, shall we say, less respectful of intellectual property than others, and that factors into their project decisions. In FSX I have no OPUS in my drop down. Is it necessary to have it there? I can get OPUS in window mode off of the icon on my desktop. If needed in the drop down menu , how do I put it there ? Thanks

Does anybody have a way of adjusting the timing of the Dawn and dusk settings in FSX. I know the timing changes with seasons but is there a way to adjust them manually. Josh

I used to be able to see the route an AI traffic plane was flying when I had AI aircraft labels enabled. All of a sudden though the route labels are gone. I can still see the model/distance/altitude of the AI plane but no longer the route. Is there a setting I can go change to make that appear again? Also in my traffic you can choose from which schedules you want to use it appears. One of them appears to be UT2 which I have but don't use. I think it would be really cool if I could use the flight plans from UT2 in My traffic or does that option only pertain to where a plane is going not the route that it is going to fly to get there? I know there is FS live traffic…

I have purchased ORBX Australia red and the airport Alice Springs. I think I have read here that around Alice Springs were a lot of small airstrips that was made well in ORBX and they were not in the GPS database. In Plan-G I do found a lot of dirt airstrips around Alice Springs which are not among the airstrips that FSX is aware about. One of these airstrips is Hermannsburg YHMB. But at that position I see no airstrip. According to Plan-G my plane is situated on the airstrip in the picture below. Hardly well made. So which are these well made airports around Alice Springs ? I think they were suggested as good destinations around Alice Spring as a base in Air Hauler.

Hello, I have just reinstalled FSX completely as it was slow and sluggish and would often freeze. Reinstalling has fixed it, but now I'm having new issues. First, my autopilot text seems to be non-existent. Here is a picture to show you: I'm not sure why this isn't showing up, as FSX installed correctly. I think there might be a missing font, but I have no clue what it is or where to find it. Also, this issue is happening with every single plane, even payware aircraft radios. Also, FSX is now crashing to desktop every time I use it. The first error in the Event Log showed it was the uiautomationcore.dll from the system32 directory of my computer. uiau…

Hi there, I have recently installed some FSDT airports (full version), but I get the message: "The airport "ZurichX" is out-dated. Please download and install the lastest Stand-Alone Addon Manager." I obviouly have installed that Manager, but nothing changed. And next I am not more able to open GSX (Ctrl+F12), do not know why. I get this message also for two further scenerys of FSDT. What I am doing wrong?

Sorry if a topic already exists like this, I couldn't locate one.... What I'm looking to do is restore EVERY file to do with textures.....after GEX, FTX Global, REX, UTX tests I am not 100% sure I executed the uninstall process properly on each addon..... I think i have congested my FSX and Im loosing FPS.....I would like to restore all original texture files properly and install my selected addons based on my tests CLEAN.... Will the repair function actually do this...sometimes I hear yes sometime I hear no...I kind of scared to do it...Am i jeopardizing anything?

I need to run sparse grid supersampling otherwise the game looks like a wavy mess. But when I do, the framerates drop with a lot of cloud cover. I have the lowest resolution clouds, but is there a way to get SGSS to not run on cloud textures, or any other trick to not getting such a big framerate loss?

Anyone know of any or photoreal? I have Flight1's GEX that covers that area and it looks ok except in some places....just want something better TIA

Hi Guys, After installing Traff 360 a couple of times i keep getting the same problem with aircraft showing up as GA - mainly Rynaiar bit affecting others also. They also show as GA in the sim and Traff board. Attaching a pic for reference. Would appreciate any help Thanks, Matt

I was trying to install FSINN this evening, and it kept creating a folder "Microsoft Flight Simulator" next to my Microsoft Flight Simulator "X" folder and threw me several errors. I kept deleting this folder, but one of the times I mistakenly pressed "delete" with my real FSX folder. Fortunately, it was "too big for the recycle bin" and I got one last chance to press cancel when asked when I wanted to delete it permanently. I pressed cancel. Does anyone know if any files were deleted inadvertantly from my screwup, even if I pressed cancel (i.e. was the delete operation already taking place before I pressed cancel)? Which one is better UT2, MTX pro 5.4, WOAI packages or something else? Always regarding fps...i have only used and consequently know MTX pro 5.4 and i am not 100% happy. So, I just purchased experience X night lights. I bought it expecting it to be another FPS heavy night lighing product. But AMAZINGLY, it isn't. Now, I know I was a big downer on night lights. I just needed to try this one out. I got the SAME 30 fps with the NGX at Flightbeam KPHX with the night lights at the gate! Amazing! Now I don't know about OOM's yet. Havn't tested it that much. But if you have a DECENT system, I would highly recommend trying Experience X. Experience X is extremely smart. Much different than UTX night lights. The lights dissappear at a certain altitude. Because at 30,000ft there is no need to have them showing. Saving FPS, and me…
