Anything that can improve realism in FSX is welcome, and the new "Natural Tree Environment" is definitely worth a look. I made my own comparison, which can be seen below. The trees from NTE has more detail to them, and the snow has more of a powdery feeling to it - just as in reality. No issues so far - at least not here. What is your impression?

New install of FSX and everything seems ok but I cannot get elevator trim on default B737 to work.I use buttons on my yoke .All other planes it works OK.I do not see any AP settings that would do this.Thanks for any help.Ron

Good Day Gentlemen, I was a FS9 and FSX enthusiast for many years. Regular multiplayer and contributor at DC3 Airways. VATSIM too. I enjoyed our hobby for well over eight years. In early 2011 I had to set everything aside. We have relocated from Alaska to Florida and the wife is encouraging me to rebuild my setup, which included rudder, throttle and yoke controls as well as a small fortune in addons. I have raised this subject on the Ivao forums but as of today I got no answer. Can someome explain to me how the Ivap refresh interval in the Online Traffic-Performance Tuning section of Ivap Configuration Tool affects performance ? In particular: 1) In theory the higher the refresh interval the smoother is the movement of the online traffic, but CPU load is also higher: is this correct ? 2) The default refresh interval is 20 Hz. Should it be changed to match with monitor refresh rate (i.e. 60 hz or 30 if using the 1/2 Vsync tweak) to have better results or are they completely unrelated parameters ? Anyone able to shed some light on this subject ? Thanks

I wanted a reasonably realistic (within fsx limitations) civil helicopter to fly that wasn't wasn't the default. I raelize FSX doesn't do helo's very well, and was thinking that Nemeth seems to be just a helicopter company, so I thought theirs would be better than most, and this one seems to get decent reviews as well. Opinions?

I installed FSX and other files to my S drive. Why do some files and fsx cfg files still show up on the C drive

I'm looking to get back into OPUS for P3Dv2, and as an avid user of EZDOK for FSX there are some specific shortcut assignments I want to replicate in OPUS. The manual is unclear whether this is possible. Firstly: Is it possible to assign the middle mouse scroll button, when depressed, allows you to move the mouse and reposition your viewpoint left, right, up, down? This would work in VC and in outside views. Second: Assign the forward, back, left, right arrow keyboard keys to move your physical position in those respective directions. I also use PageUp to move my position up and PageDn to move my postion down. This would also work in VC and outside views. …

I have been using FSX with Acceleration for several years and got the above error message a few weeks ago. What causes it and how do I fix it ? I have managed to fix it, but only temporarily, by using FSXRegistry Fix; it fixes it for that session, but after I shut down then later restart, the error comes back. (I AM logged on as Administrator ). TIA

Hi, is there any way to adjust how far I can look left and right when using TrackIR? Currently I can look over my virtual shoulder into the back of the plane but not quite enough to see the elevators. I haven't seen any options to adjust this in the TrackIR limits screen (maybe I'm not looking hard enough!) and I was wondering if this was something I could tweak?

Followed Nickn's procedures and did a clean reinstall of FSX/ Acceleration, GEX USA, UTX, and Ultimate Alaska. Everything is great except for something I've never heard of before--- When I do shift/Z Z to bring up the framerate, it shows over the menu bar. I can see the menu bar OK, but to see the framerate I have to close the menu bar. Anyone hear of or experience this? The other thing is minor, but when I set FSX to Easy under realism for my grandson, autorudder doesn't take effect

Hi folks, I just want to know if anyone has encountered the following problems with JL Valladier's St. Croix scenery. I even tried re-installing FSX and then just installing the St. Croix scenery with no other add-ons, but I get the same results. I just want to know if anyone has encountered the same issue. Hi, i´ve veen having this problem for a while already, and it is driving me crazy. Where it is supossed to be water, there is ground; and the coast, instead of being something irregular, like it is supossed to be, is square. I´ll attach some pictures so that you can see what the problem looks like. The picture I attached is from Nice, France. The airport should be sorrounded by water, but now it is not. And, believe it or not, a couple of months ago it didn´t use to happen.

Hello, I'm having a brain freeze today....I installed this nice aircraft today but the VC cockpit won't show. The outside images of the craft look ok. The panel.cfg shows it has the panel of the FSX default King Air 350 in it, but upon opening the plane in the game ...no cockpit. I'm overlooking something, but can't come up with a solution. Hi, I install some aircraft update (Airbus Xtended and Twin Otter) and also play with my magnetic files for updating them. After starting FSX I have "FMS error - unable to find magvar.dat ". So, may be I erase a file. But where can I find this file without reinstalling FSX (what the mess and pain...) and where to put this file? Any help please welcome. Thanks Michel
