Hi, Does anyone know where one can find a fully functional Canadair CL215, complete with water scoop and drop? I've been watching Ice Pilots NWT and those things look like a lot of fun to fly. Thanks in advance.

Ive crashed the PMDG 747 in the past so deleted my install and paid for a new one. I know some people may find that silly but if there is no incentive to not fail whats the point lol. And i suppose it gives devs more money

I'm coming to present you my problem with FSX these last days which causes me some headaches... This happen with all my addons and only in Virtual Cockpit. Here we go: When the weather is good (no fog): Everything is OK. When the weather is bad (with fog): Everything goes wrong. If anyone has a solution.... Bruno.

Am I Just lucky?? I have recently done a total reinstall of windows (7) and obviously a clean install of FSX. I have been very careful this time to be very neat with the installation of every add-on, making sure everything has its own defined folder in the root of the drive and nothing in progsx86. I have applied Bojotes tweaks and defraged thoroughly. I use REX, Opus, FSCommander, FSGlobal, Shade, Ultimate Traffic2, Horizon scenery with RevolutionX and usually fly the Realair Duke or the twin otter extended. Am I using REX right, do you think? I open up REX first, click the 'do it for me button', then activate FSX. I have REX ticked in my FSX weather menu. I see nice textures, but I'm not sure I get different weather if I end a flight in the UK and start one in Australia. Does REX create appropriate local live weather for me on the fly? Q 1: Should I wait for REX to boot up FSX (ie. tick that option?) Q 2: Should I be doing anything manually before I activate REX?? I've gone through the help PDF, but I can't see an 'idiot's guide to start up ...'

Which one? I'm asking since they're on special and same price. I have the A36 and V35 Bonanzas. Of those two I prefer the older V35. I think I'll be hard pressed to pass up the C90 as well... Cheers Mike

Hello, I have a strange problem. I have FSX in DX10 mode (fixer), everything works perfectly, except for one crucial thing altogether. When moving on the ground rapidly decreasing frame rate. The moment the plane off the ground, the frame rate returns to normal. So, I'm waiting to start, fps okay, I'll start to creep, fps starts to drop rapidly, the plane lifts off the ground, fps shot up. For this reason, I did a clean install of FSX. (including the operating system), the same result. What can be the cause? I tried everything possible... System: OS: Win7 64bit CPU: I7 950 (4Ghz) (Disable HT) GPU: GTX570 RAM: 24GB Thanks (Sorry for my bad english)

What is the tweak (s?) in the fsx.cfg file that will make textures load faster when switching screens? When I switch from cockpit to outside view or visa versa it takes a while for the textures to load and I'd like to speed that up. And what are the tradeoffs? Sorry, I should know this.

My problem is I cannot change airplanes after the default has started at the startup screen. When I select a different plane the FSX freezes. The default flight starts fine. The only thing I have done since it last worked was update my navigraph FMS data. Help please.

Hi For anyone who is interested in flying in this area there is some excellent freeware scenery available on Avsim by George Keogh providing enhanced addon scenery for a total of about 17 small Irish regional airports and airfields. This is very high quality scenery (really of payware standard IMO) for previously unavailable airports in the Irish Republic. It also merges beautifully with and complements the recently released VFR Generation X Photographic Scenery for Ireland and of course the great Eiresim payware for the major airports of Shannon, Cork and Dublin. I have both the PMDG 747 and MD-11 sound sets. I purchased the PW set but use it for all the engine variants. My problem is that I'm not getting much if any sound from exterior views. If I go to the actual sound folder and play one of the engine reverse sound files it is loud and clear but in FSX when I reverse the engines on landing I hear nothing. Other sounds seem to work ok, but most of the external sounds are very quiet or non-existent. I've looked in the sound.pw folder and the sound.cfg file is there as are the files that it references.

Folks, Just installed PMDG T7 and downloading some liveries, but i want start anymore. What I did : run CC cleaner, nothing removed fsx.cfg file, so it had to make new 1, some questions about ( do you trust this software and so on ), the only thing I see, is the big logo of FSX. What are the options, Remove T7 or go to restore point ?

I am looking for an app that will recommend an IFR flight plan from one selected airport to another. Preferably one used in the real world. I am willing to pay for it. Apps that work on the Iphone usually will work on my Ipod, though it is not the retina generation. Thanx in advance...

Greetings Using live weather I've noticed that occasionally I am getting rather strong "gusts" and changes in wind direction. These changes are quite sudden and always straighten themselves out in 10-15 seconds or so. It isn't a problem during cruise; however, when they occur on an approach it's rather inconvenient. Whilst the changes "maybe" related to real weather changes, is there a way to smooth them out or remove them altogether ?? I have all the appropriate boxes re: stabilization etc ticked (checked). Further, FSUPIC has all weather turned OFF. Can I activate suppress gusts in FSUPIC to solve this issue ? Many thanks, WilloW

It might be helpful during full IMC conditions (foggy with reduced visibility on the ground) to have all ligthings switched on (as in real life) but I don't know there is some FSX limitation that prevents it. I've been using the trial version of Activesky Next for the past couple of days, and I have mixed feelings about it so far. The interface is a lot cleaner and more organized than in previous versions, and the initial weather download/depiction time is much faster than with AS2012. The Good: Local weather themes with distant clouds on the horizon and the ability to fly into different weather areas, etc. (rather than global weather scenarios with previous versions) seems to be simulated really well. Is EZDOC compatible with Windows 8 ?

Yesterday I was doing the Gatwick-Amsterdam run with the q400 (same run as the PMDG NGX Tutorial 1). When I turned into the final sharp turn about 15 nm from Schiphol, the plane seemed not to grab the glideslope (I turned control from FMS1 to NAV1 as I lined up with the runway at 2000 feet, isn't that correct?), so I turned off the autopilot to land by hand. However the plane began to pitch up and down and climb and turn and I could not gain control for about 10 minutes. The top of the MFD was indicating items like "pitch hold" and other stuff and nothing I could do would remove it (pressing the stby button on the autopilot removed the announcements, but did not help t…

Hi, this is most likely not a new subject. A couple of questions on the subject issue: 1) Is there a way to avoid the repeating cloud patterns as seen in the shot ? 2) I find the dark grey areas in the clouds when seen from above to be quite unrealistic. I may see grey clouds looking at them from below, but usually not from above. I don't know if this is coming from something wrong in my set up, or if it is caused by the way FSX draws the clouds, or if it is related to the cloud set (the one in the shot is from FEX2, but it happens also using REX2) . I've been using IVAO for years now, and I've never had problems. Traffic has always shown like it should, but today I noticed I cannot see any IVAO traffic, it simply doesn't show up. I can have contact with everyone (ATC + pilots) just fine. ATC can see me on the radar, and other players seem to be able to see me too. But I myself cannot see any IVAO traffic at all, and I am asbolutely puzzled and I am pulling my hairs out over this. In the IVAO Config, "Show traffic" is checked, range is set to 10 nm but tried 20 nm too. In FSX itself, aircraft shadows are disabled because that can cause IVAO traffic not to show.
