Hello , i have an issue i started to see lately. when iam cruising at some FL300+ , and just when iam about to reach some bunch of clouds they are disappearing.(every time...) thank you !

There have been quite a few ASN posts, but I felt I needed to add my opinion. I've just taken off from Edinburgh and battled through the most impressive thunderstorm I have ever experienced in flight sim. I should be thanking REX as well for the sound effects and impressive lightning bolts, not to mention RealAir for the shakes and rattles of the B60's fuselage. This was in the B60 V2. Yes, I know, crazy to battle a thunderstorm in any aircraft, let alone in the B60. I experienced amazing turbulence, fantastic clouds, a rain splattered windscreen and lightning flashes all around me... and not a single sudden wind shift. Seasons greetings! I've been having an issue today flying from YWG to YYZ. Using the NGX, I'll have an fps drop from around 20 fps to around 6. It seems to happen about 10 minutes after a flight has loaded. The only way I can solve this is by adjusting a setting that forces a reload of the sim. Any ideas as to what could be causijg this issue? I am using FTXG, REXE, and the PMDG NGX. Thanks and happy holidays!

I found that bunch of files are missing for effects/texture folder. Apparently uninstalling bunch of freeware planes yesterday caused this, as uninstaller took also default files. Who knows what default filer my FSX folder is missing. Anyway, I will appreaciate if someone could paste here a list of default files of effects/texture folder. Also FSX is not behaving properly in the past two days, huge stutters with PA A320, and normal/dense autogen, and huge drops of FPS when autogen is visible (lower altitudes). Never experienced that. And FSX worked amazing few days ago in DX10 with the fixer. Maybe missing textures for the effects are causing this?

Is there any tool that will tell you the active runway at your destination, so that you can start planning your arrival, without waiting to get into ATIS range? Thanks

Afternoon, I have had to do a reinstall of FSX for various reasons and am having a problem trying to get the SDK to install. I get a 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime. I am right clicking as admin and all read onlys are off. Interestingly enough if I start the FSX install it works fine. I did go all the way to Acceleration before I started with the SDK's. Maybe I need to do the SDK's as I go? Any help greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays all!

I have been watching and listening to talk about add-on software that will help me fly the heavies. I have seen MCE and FS2C and am torn. I lean toward FS2C but I don't like that it is so expensive and one package will tie me to one plane. I want a software that is programmable (easily I hope) and will work with ANY aircraft I may chose to fly, today or in the future. I currently fly the NGX and the Airbus X right now (which has built-in crew to help out). Looking at the T7 and perhaps later the oldies too like the CLS DC-10, PMDG MD-11 and Level-D 767. Anyone have a package I missed evaluating? Comments welcome since it's Christmas and I might be able to wrangle up some…

I am seeing this in the CLS747 and wonder if it occurs in any other aircraft (so posting here rather than CLS forum). Push the stab trim lever forward (it moves the same way in both the 2D and 3D panels) and the trim pointer moves forward in the 3D panel but backwards in the 2D panel. Additionally, if you have tool tips turned on, the reading of the trim achieved when hovering over the trim lever is completely different in the 2D and 3D panels. Anyone else see this on the CLS 747 or any other aircraft? Bryn

I've been drawn to the Strike Flanker and Naval Flanker and in the past found their Mig-17 to be ok, if you own the two Flankers please could you let me know what you thought as the Strike Flanker will apparently get the Tacpack treatment of which I'm a user. Thanks in advance Iain

Hi everybody! First of all I am really sorry if this isn't the right forum to post this. I couldn't really figure out if it was or not. I'm still a newbie to FSX, but I want to take it to the next level now. I've been following several guides explaining how to create a flight plan with SIDS/STARS using FlightSim Commander. However, I used to fly with the default ATC, but I don't think it works with SIDS/STARS. Basically I can't really figure out how to fly with the ATC at the same time I am following my flight plan. This is getting beyond a joke now. I recently got my computer back from a repair and have since been having problems installing rex textures into fsx. Thing is, fsx is still displaying default textures and I can't change it for the life of me! I'm running my textures at 4096 in my fsx.cfg file. I'm using overdrive textures too. Seriously though, I've reinstalled REX + OD numerous times and reinstalled fsx. BEFORE you all ask I've already searched around the REX official forums. You'd be a hero if you could sort this. A frustrating part of dong a Q400 flight is having to fill inthe form for the weights and balances, which takes almost as long as the flight, and which is necessary if one wants to follow a flight plan. I wish there were an automatic "standard" loadout where all the weight values would already be entered intothe FMS and the plane would be ready to fly - one would only have to enter the flight plan into the FMS and go. I know that in real life this is necessary, but it is boring to have to do this every flight when one just wants to fly around. Is it possible to save a flight with the parameters set? It would be nice just to have a button labeled "standard flight" that wou…

MSLP ILS (07) is off visual runway centerline in FSX, It's off to the right. Could anyone confirm and post a fix? I beleive the glideslope is ok. Michael

Just wondering if anyone here has had experience (+ or -) with Desktop Aviator products specifically the Cessna Avionics Panel Model 2100B? http://www.desktopaviator.com/Products/Panel/Model_2100/index.htm I don't like doing run-ups and mag checks with the mouse so something like this panel appeals to me. It would also free up a number of buttons on my joystick and throttle that I could assign to other functions. I looked at the Saitek switch panel and it has a landing gear handle (which I think would be handy) but having had a few Saitek products, I wouldn't mind having something a little sturdier and less "toy-like". Hey guys, I have recently installed FSX to my brand new Macbook Pro Retina on a legit copy of Windows running on Botocamp. When I tried to make some tweaks (from the AVSIM Hardware/Software guide 2013) I seemed to have missing areas in the cfg file which should be there but aren't. When I tried to use Venetubo's ******* tweaks it said my cfg was not a native FSX file.Does anyone know how I can solve this? Seems to take forever to pop up the main screen, then another few minutes to accept the path I chose to FSX, and then another few minutes to change button choices What am I doing wrong So far Im hopefull this will be resolved by some kind member In the meantime I have not been able to install any textures as the screen has crashed a few times or I've closed it out of impatience I must have made an error? Hi, I recently uninstalled Traffic 360 as I thought it was a very poor product. Now when you go into FSX there is no Air Traffic at all with all settings at max. I've had a look in some of the other forum questions and answers. However I was wondering if there was a way to get the traffic back without doing a complete re-install of FSX.

I have Rex, Global , ftx England, Scotland, Wales and PNW I tend to launch via REX and always let Rex create a random theme , have I been stupid here by doing this has it overwritten all the benefits of FTX Global and any of my regions? Sorry if I am being thick, all the talk of land class, textures, etc. get me confused these days ! If I have messed up Global do I need to uninstall Global and then reinstall it?
