hello everyone so i purchased ASN and i love the work it does i also have Rex Direct 4 and also like that however when i fly high in the tubes 20'000 - 40'000 feet, i get these lame cloud grids i've troubleshot everything i've adjusted my minimum and maximum cloud draw. matched em ect ect you name it cant shake these grids i have a thread over at the ASN forums and they asked for the following pics what i did was find bad weather, jumped in the NGX and flew up to 20'000 sure enough there are the grids so i saved the flight jumped out restored my default Rex OD textures from within Rex DIRECT. reloaded the flight and noticed the grids w…

Hey everyone, So I bought my first photoscenery product just now FranceVFR Corse. I'm now looking for some airport scenery, doesn't matter with one, Ajaccio or whatever. On the FranceVFR site it looks like they have four sceneries for Corsica but I can't find them. I can't fin any but a freeware one and that website is complicated. I was linked to that by freewarescenery.com. Does anyone know of any? Or are those four included in the scenery I just bought? Thanks Lee

Hi there, I've recently bought a new PC, gone from Vista to W7 Pro 64 bit. I've done a fresh FSX install along with installing the aircraft again. There seems to be lines appearing down some of the gauges in the 2D cockpit. Virtual cockpit and outside views are fine. I've re-installed the aircraft but that made no difference, deleted and recreated the fsx.cfg file with no difference. There's screenshots attached to show the problem. It seems to happen more with the iFly 737, but also happens with the Wilco ERJ and the Airbus A320 series. When the gauges are clicked on and increased in size, it's all fine. I recently wanted to fly from KSEA to KBZN for instance - once i used Active Sky Next (with all the latest hotfix and proper FSUIPC version installed) to inject weather into the sim and somewhere around half way the flight, i suddenly received a CTD. im very confused, a lot of people with different opinions. From what i can see, i can get FTX Global + Vector + Landclass (when its released). or i can get the FS Global Ultimate bundle which does everything?

Hello guys, I´m new here and I´d like to ask for your help for a very annoying problem with the FSX. This morning, I wanted to fly with the CS777 from Hongkong (default scenery) to Heathrow (UK2000). Normally, I get 30 FPS in Hongkong (with the CS normally 18-20 FPS), but this morning, I was shocked. First of all 25 FPS (very good for the 777), but THEN just 4 and even 2 FPS. But after a few seconds, the FPS have increased to 20 again. However, after a few seconds, they fell to 3-6 and so on. I tested it with another aircraft (Thomas Ruth´s A340-600 - normally 30 to 45 FPS) and I had the same problem. I scaled down graphic-settings to their absolute minimu…

Just bought the DC-8 from JF. The plane is realy good in most aspects, the VC is not PMDG, but its a DC-8!... the strange thing is that i get nice and steady fps when on ground, but once I get up in the air, around 1500-2000 feet I get a sudden framedrop, from steady 29.8fps down to 12.3 - 14.6fps and a huge stutter... so strange. Has any of You noticed this? and is there a solution? I have tried setting with nvidia inspector, and in FSX cfg, and nvidia controlpalnel... nothing seems to help, Have been struggling with this for the last 2 hours... Hello I was not sure where to post this but lately I have been having this border around the sun which looks odd. I noticed this happened after installation of REX4 but cannot say for sure REX 4 is causing it. I have set Direct X to DX10 enabled in REX4 for sun effects. I am also using the DX10 fixer tool. Its best described with a screenshot below: Anybody else having this issue with the sun? Any ideas what may be causing it and how to correct? Thanks and Happy Holidays to all!!

I just grabbed Air Hauler, last week, I figured I'd enjoy my new ORBX Pacific NW scenery that I grabbed in the Xmas sales more, if I had more reasons to fly. Well anyways, I found out the two don't play well together, as a lot of the Orbx Airfields don't render properly (i.e. runways are not where they're supposed to be on some smaller fields).. I tried turning off Orbx.. but 1s2 Darrington just looks like crap once it's turned off. Other thing I noticed is during flights with Air Hauler, scenery seems to blurr a lot. Ok, so I've accepted the fact, that I fly Pacific NW out of Air Hauler.. My question is.. if I want to move to another location, i.e. US NorthEast I ass…

Hi guys, For years I've run almost all the Hi-Fi series WX addons on my laptop and it's been years since I had to set it up with Simconnect and all that nonsense. Anyways, tonight I purchased ASN and I'm trying to set it up on my client laptop but I'm having one hell of a time actually getting to inject WX in my FSX. I'm certain that it's my fault and not ASN's, I'm not very good at networking. My question is. Does it really make a performance difference if ASN is run on another computer that's not my FSX computer. I kinda wanna just install it on FSX computer and leave it as that. Thanks

Need some advise here, looking to buy 2 carenados during their Xmas sale Last year I bought the C337/Skymaster and the C340, satisfied with both. By the way currently own a couple of realair models, and very happy right now with v2 of the Duke, just feel want to give some money at this time with Carenado. So what stands in your mine, if you had to pick two models, from 2013, let me know the good and bad of each model, looking for something with a decent autopilot to find. A friend of mine is a pilot and he took me from NC to Illinois so I could pick up some business equipment. He has a 4 seater Comanche. Though I was terrified most of the flight, for some reason I cannot get flying out of my mind. He told me that FSX is a good flight simulator so I purchased FSX Gold. To my surprise my sons love it and we decided to build a semi serious FSX computer for 2014. Whenever I start FSX, I get an error that area 123 and 127 (orbx\ftx_na\scenery) remote path is invalid But when I use scenery config editor, I don't see them in the raw file. I know this has been brought up many times before, however I am so disgusted with it right now I actually shut down FSX just couldn't take it. I took off out of TNCM and there is a storm there now which totally ruined the flight experience for me. I am very close to switching to DX10 but I just can't give up certain airports. Someday there will be a flightsim worth it, right now it's close but not good enough. Comparing to other types of sims, the FSX world is showing its age. Thanks for letting me rant. Wish there was a way to get rid of the rain textures all together.

Has anybody got FSX installed on a USB 3.0 external drive? If so, does it perform ok? I'm looking to do this. I have x-plane 10.25 on my USB 3.0 drive and it performs brilliant! My internal drive is very old and slow. And I can't afford a new one just yet. My USB 3.0 drive is 1TB. Thanks Ian
