Hello, I have manged to monitor VAS and to avoid OOM, that's the good news. Though VAS is too high and I can't lower it to around 2,000,000. The scenario I use is PMDG 747X + UK2000 EGLL+ FTX global + Vector. I depart from VC cockpit view and reaching 2,700,000 ! Now, I did all the FSX.CFG tricks, and I'm posting it here as well! I'm using 3 displays + VRINSIGHT DISPLAY for my CDUII One thing I noticed is when shrinking FSX window to one display VAS decreases dramaticly. (I run windowed mode only) I guess it is all about resolution as I run it now at 5040X1050. So when flying to EGLL I get around 3,000,000 VAS then I shrink the window and VAS Decreas…

Hello all I am experiencing an issue when trying to reinstall FSX... Soon after aasking for the second disk to be inserted, it will give me an unhandled exception error window with "Error Number 0x80040702 Failed to load DLL: GameuxInstallHelper" and the install terrminates. I have gone through the registry best I can to remove all Flight Sim related entries, deleted all folders, temp areas, profile user folders with references to MSFT Flight Sim, ran CCleaner multiple times, and there is no uninstall info available in the Add/Remove software list or through CCleaners app cleanup utility...Anyone have any suggestions or experience with this? Could someone please give me a clue as to where the controls or switches are for the interior lighting. I have looked and looked and yes have even tried to find this in the manual. It mentions something about the overhead console. I expect to feel kind of dumb when someone answers this question, but where the heck is the overhead console?

Hey All, Im about to upgrade to FTX Global I think - but I'm a little ignorant on this side of simming and dont know much about the language or specifics. Could you point me somewhere that explains the distinctions between land classes, mesh, scenery texture et al? I saw on the FTX Global site that its being used in conjunction with UTX? Are these different things? You can use more than one at a time? Thanks in advance!

What graphic settings would you recommend for me with a GeForce GTX 650 with overdrive? I want to get the most out of the graphics card, but also don't want lag.

Hi everyone. Today, all of a sudden without a warning, my FPS dropped from approximately 25-30 FPS in EGLL to 6-8 FPS. I have no idea what's causing this problem. I installed FPS_Limiter 0.2 earlier today together with a couple of airport freewares. I also changed some settings in FSX and in the fsx.cfg I changed TextureMaxLoad from 6 to 30. Next time I opened FSX the problem turned up. I immediately removed the addons and changed TextureMaxLoad back to 6. I jumped to different airports and it was all the same. I was just curious what people use as far as zoom levels go for the VC? I use ezdok and I think it's set to about .60 zoom just curious if there is like a universally suggested zoom level to try. Also I just noticed something since I don't do many night flights I haven't run into this before. The landing lights on my plane don't illuminate the ground. I had every light possible on so it wasn't that I didn't switch them on. I was also using the PMDG 737. I am using REX+OD, FTX Global, UTX. Is there a tweak or perhaps I disabled something by accident I should check? Or in the CFG is there something I should look for that maybe isn't there or something that I might …

When using VNAV to fly a STAR(then ILS) or RNAV approach the FMS turns onto the next waypoint well before it has reached the first one sometimes up to 5nm, because it does this the VNAV path has gone, as a result the aircraft is too high for landing on finals. I have not selected approach mode prior to this so the FMS is still in Nav mode. Anyone else having this problem or know of the cause.

Hi I started to feel more comfortable with standard 737 procedures and fs2crew flows so I want to take it to a higher level and install emergency NGX from fs2crew and start service based failures (in the meantime I will also start failures which I will choose to practice flows and checklists during failures). I have some questions regarding this matter 1. As I understand service based failures are connected to how much time I've spent using particular livery - what is the easiest way to check how much time I've spent flying particular livery? Hi please can anyone advise I have FSX Gold Edition with acceleration, using PMDG B737NGX I just downloaded Flightbeam's KSFO scenery for FSX and its a total nightmare, it has acted like a virus on my computer scrambling my scenery and also when I try to fly too and from any other airports I have it ruines everything I have completely uninstalled it and still if i make a flight and try and alter anything on my toolbar, weather, gates anything then either the scenery is an unrecognizable jumble or airframe can be seen or screen blackens out,and its the end of the flight I wonder if anyone else has purchased this product and has had any problems and may suggest a …

I've searched but cannot find the answer I am looking for. If there is an answer and I am not using the right search parameters, feel free to correct me and show me a link. The issue doesn't happen all the time. However, occasionally FSX will start up fine, the flight loads fine, and when I pan around the virtual cockpit, I am not able to select knobs, switches, dials, etc. I can see my mouse cursor, but it doesn't change to the hand when over a switch, knob or dial. Hey guys, I've been searching around and reading tons of helpful guides on using the Bufferpools tweaks in my fsx.cfg file. I've tried using UsePools=1/0, Poolsize=0/490000000 (and a few in between), as well as RejectedThreshold=131072. I've messed around with plenty of different combinations of the three, enabling one while the other is disabled, tweaking values of one or the other and testing, etc. However I seem to be at a standstill. For testing I'm using BluePrint Simulations' KLAX, along with Aerosoft USCitiesX LA, and flying the PMDG 737-800NGX. Yes! Awesome news if you're asking me. The flight sim market is screaming for good A380 simulation, not Wilco, not freeware. This is much better news that the QW 737. Why? Because we have plenty of good 737 models to choose, modern or classic.

Hi all, first of all, I am new to FSX. I have been a simmer for the last 15 years and have my FS9 maxed out regarding visual appearance, AI traffic etc. I have changed my OS from Vista to Win7 and realised that there are some problems occuring in FS9 ( such as missing/not working textures, FS crashing to desktop when following AI traffic, amongst others ), so I decided to switch over to FSX. I now have real big problems getting it to work properly in regards of smoothness and visual appearance. I searched for some tweaking guides but found nothing really satifisfying. Hello folks So i recently installed FSX and im running it through FSPS FSX booster which does seem a good job. One issue though, i sometimes get square lights at airports (pic below). What causes this and is there fix ? I have a googled it but couldnt find anything useful. Thanks in advance Al

Hi, I have an issue with blurry ground textures. It seems that it happens not only to me, but plenty of others, however I just can't get my head round why it's still blurry after all of the changes I've applied. I installed FSX and followed Word Not Allowed's guide. Unfortunately, I was a bit stupid to install FSX on the SSD, rather than the system, but that's a story for another time. I set up cfg first using Bojote's tweaker, and it produced similar results. I was then referred to NickN's guide which I read through a few times, and decided to go for some tweaks with Word Not Allowed's guide beside. A couple weeks ago I read were you could disable some of the scenery addons if you were not flying in that area to free up some memory space. So I went to scenery library and unchecked about five airports and flew for a while. Yesterday I rechecked them, but when I checked the areas, they only came back partially. They are all messed up now. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks Doug
