So my new computer was working great until the last couple days when I installed I would say 8 add-on airports. Everything would seem fine until about 5 to 10 minutes into a flight and FSX CTD's. This now happens over and over and over again. With the add-on airports I am using FTX Global,REX, RC4, GSX, and that A2A programs that gives you improved wind noise and all the sounds of the plane taxiing down the tarmac. Is that to many programs to have running at once or something? Is there a limit to how many programs you can have running with FSX? I really need assistance. I've use to know how. I've uninstalled and removed FSX folder yet when i go to reinstall it asks if i want to repair/uninstll. I cant even get Ultimate Traffic 2 to start up after install. I'm wonder if Win 8.1 update is the perpose

I like to have tooltips switched on, as still unsure what every lever and button is for in the VC, however recently they have stopped appearing. They are ticked in the settings menu. Is there a flag in the config file I need to check ? Or has anyone else come across this problem as well? I can just do request. Ahead, experts and pilots know better. 1- When to Flare the plane? Means when to decide, now it's a good time to Flare and land. Where at runway? at >>>>> sign? OR at Threshold OR at 9R etc.. In fsx and p2d (which i don't have) runway sorrounding areas are very ugly and unrealistic. runways end sharply and grass start instantly. one of the reasons why i don't fly to/from defaults airports is that. is there any addon to ged rid of these ugly textures?

Hi, is there a way to update the ILS frequencies in FSX database in those cases where they have changed through the years and as such they are different from what reported in the external navdata providers ? Just as an example, Stuttgart ILS rwy 07, frequency is 110.9 in FSX and 109.5 in all the updated charts and also in Navigraph/Aerosoft Navdata ? Thanks

Can i just ask ? : what's up with this ' 0 Views, 0 Replies' phenomenon i see quite often in this or other forums here at Avsim ?.... Just now i noticed a thread that has 0 Views,0 Replies and was posted yesterday. A few threads above it the same thread appears and now shows 48 Views and 2 Replies. (posted at the same time as the earlier thread) The reason i ask is because i posted a new thread in the DX10 forum a couple weeks ago which is rather important to me but never got an answer and nobody even cared to view the thread..... i.e. 0 Views, 0 Replies. Could it be like that, sometimes, i am the only one that can see a thread that i posted and nobody else ??…

for those that found it difficult to make , I made an exe.xml to load OPUS at FSX startup http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/2700-fsx-aicarriers-2-opusfsx-load-at-startup/ simple copy and paste to install.

I just switched back to my non-surround setup Setup 40in LED via HDMI - Set as default monitor 2x 23in LCD via DVI It's not every single time I run FSX, I'd say 3 out of 5 times.. It looks like this. I can alt-enter to go into window mode and it adjusts itself, and then I can alt-enter back to fullscreen and everything is fine. Things I've done to stop it delete fsx.cfg delete shaders set NI to default Reinstall Nvidia drivers PC specs in the usual place.

Hello guys I often flew the MD-11 and now im thinking to buy "The MD82 Maddog" but i would like to know what do you think about it? I want to use it alone and with my friend on ivao network with the multicrew mode.My friend hasn't got the plane too, for that we need advice about if this is a good buy or not. Thanks

Wing X will convert the Airbus Extended into and Airbus X=Wing Fighter allowing you to hopefully BLOW UP a Death Star after flying along a narrow trench! Unfortunately you will have to disconnect the autopilot before dropping the bomb into the hole the size of a womp rat. Looks like ezdok development is dead now.. so I'm looking for alternative and everyone is saying "try opus". So I went to youtube and looked for a showcase video of Opus and it's features.. can't find anything useful, bunch of crappy, unexplained videos. Went to your website.. same thing, nothing useful. If opus really is a good alternative then show it with a proper video... or maybe I'm blind ? Hello! I have been flying the plane for a time, and it is incredible. I think the better part for me is the save all switches possition. Maybe it sound stupid.. but no other aircraft gave me that posibility.. or at least not so many. With that option and the deep system programming it has.. I wonder why this plane don't have a maintenance service system done. I plan to buy the proffessional one.. but I think only in that and in training are failure scenarios. I don't want that! (well it is good to have it!) but why we have an MTOP engine safe function if in FSX the engines will never fail for long you use them? I clearly see that this plane would be really AWE…

Hi guys, I have had a google and am really really stuck here. Suddenly my FSX closes every single time a few seconds after the splash screen. Does anyone have any suggestions? 1) I have inserted the msfsx acceration disc and clicked on repair 2) I have deleted both FSX.cfg and logbook files Any help, would be greatly appreciated. Alex

This was a first for me: Was on a stable approach on the ILS 24R approach into LAX this morning when I disconnected the autopilot at about 1000 ft and suddenly nosed over and plunged into the ground. NTSB investigating...

Ok a couple times now while using RC4 the ATC has said fly direct to a certain waypoint on my FPL. Now that's great and all but how do I set the FMC to fly directly there? I tried deleting the current entry of where the plane was in the plan. In my case I had just flown a SID and it had "vectors" in purple with the next waypoint being the start of flight plan after the SID. I got cleared to that waypoint however the plane wasn't flying towards it. Obviously I messed something up. I tried to delete the "vectors" but it said invalid delete. For example I have mostly flown the PMDG 737 and feelthere RJ 145. In the 145 there is a direct button on the FMS so you can set i…

AMS, which stands for Aviation Multimedia Studio, produced a Cancun International Airport FSX scenery back in summer 2012. http://www.aviationms.com Now, they just quit the business without a single word of notice. Their support forum is unattended, support email no reply, and they even pulled their product off simMarket. The worst thing is, they have an online activation, which no longer works! It's my fourth computer since purchasing that addon, so maybe that's the reason the activation does not work. simMarket people does not provide help for that because it's the developer's own activation system. I have GTX680 direct cu II top, i7 2600k at 5.0GHz. & i tweak my fsx (Word Not Allowed tweak) i have my traffic 2013, REX OD SP2, PMDG MD11, slightly clouds in the sky (online FSX WEATHER not REX WEATHER ENGIN). Hello, I have troubles with the Eaglesoft Citation CX2.0: during descent, the MFD freeze and the frame rate is reduced significantly. Eaglesoft doesn't reproduce the problem and is not able to fix it. I would to know if someone has a workaround ? I love so much this plane but it's not flyable like this. Thanks, Vincent
