In tweaking FSX, I had to go back to Bills awesome Atlanta Skyline scenery for FS2002 to correct the major issues with the Atlanta area in the native FSX. there are some issues with Bills scenery in working in FSX, mainly in aligning the buildings to the current ground /road structure, and in some floating buildings. (which I dont have a clue how to fix.) I was wondering if Bill is still in the community so I could approach about either a fix and update, or possible permission to reuse his objects in another freeware scenery to update Atlanta. Eric

Tring to figure out which to buy, looking for a light twin to practice ifr. Interested in the duke package to get piston and turbine, but also really liking the vc and missions pack idea of the milviz. Any recommendations? They feel like very similar aircraft... Interested in vc graphic quality and flight model accuracy/feel. I have not bought from either Dev in the past. Thanks for your thoughts on this! Alex Malek

I bought this last month since it's my home airport. While it looks good, it's driving me crazy. The first time I installed it it worked fine. Two days later I load it up and the buildings disappear. I fire up the I installer but there are no repair options so I have to uninstall it and reinstall which fixed the problem. This has happened 4 times now including this morning. Now it's telling me I've installed it too many times and I need to contact them. Has anyone else have this problem

Does anyone know if this combination works and enhances the sound of the online traffic in the same way it does for ordinary AI traffic in FSX? Then to complicate things I'm actually not using the MTL models flying on IVAO but on VATSIM using FSInn as my pilot client. Not sure if the compatibility of this kind of sound package is dependant on anything else but the pure a/c models.

Can someone explain how to permanently set FSX process priority to high using the Target Line method in Windows 7?

Does anybody who has the Just Flight DC-8 know where the Auto-Throttle switch/button is located as per page 19 of the Manual, because when I tried the Tutorial, I could not find it on the throttle quadrant as that page states and shows it. Additionally, on page 15, it shows the AP status indicator, but I do not see it where it should be. Running the Performance Switcher tool to High Performance rather than High Detail. Also, on the AP quadrant, I should see the Alt Hold, and on the ASI, there should be a knob to pull that sets the Max Speed. Again, not seen on the DC-8-43. So, any Just Flight DC-8 user, what am I doing wrong not to see these things as I cannot set th…

Happened to visit the OpenVFR site today (http://openvfr.freyt.de/magento/index.php/). They claim that it is compatible with FSX and FTX Global. Has someone tried it? Wont the openvfr terrain files have a conflict with the FTX global terrain textures? They have many modules such as the terrain, objects, mesh, buildings etc. Which ones does one recommend using with FTX Global in case they are compatible. Ted

Anyone else having problems contacting fsgenesis? I can see they have a new site. Can't log in. And I recieve no mail from them when resetting password. And no answer contacting directly. They have some nice Nextgen mesh, but what does it matter when I even can't log in. "Sigh"

Is it possible to configure OpusFSX to have heave, sway and surge outside the airplane? What about pitch, roll and yaw? I was able to get the 3 first ones inside the cockpit (by the use of another cheap joystick - or whatever name it has), but the same commands don't work outside the plane. Currently all I can do outside is use the ordinary hat. Thanks!

Okay, the stuff i did to screw up my fsx to this point is a little complicated so ill just list what happened. 1. I installed fs water configurator 2. i also installed shader 3 mod. i know some people say they are a toxic mix but mine worked fine. (2 1/2. I ran the fsx.cfg tweaker that came with s3m, fsx worked fine after that) 3. then, i tried to change the water style in fswc using the program that came with it. 4. i applied my settings, started up fsx, and found that there was NO WATER. it had all become sky colored (it works on the low fsx water detail settings but it looks like crap) 5. I'm not a fan of Windows 7's Basic theme, but every flight I do with FSX, it reverts the system from my Aero theme to Basic. Good news is I recently came across this tweak / fix to prevent FSX from disabling Windows 7 Aero: http://www.flightsim.ee/freeware/fsx-scheme-fix However - will this affect performance? As we all know, London is a performance intensive location in FSX, even with a high-end system. I'm wondering if anyone with a high-end system has managed to run it smoothly and stable at max settings with addons and AI. I'm running a i7-4770K @ 4.5GHz, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 780 FSX is in DX10 preview mode with Steve's DX10 fix, Max display settings @ 1920x1200, (except: water settings set to Low 2.x, Ground Scenery shadows off), HIGHMEMFIX=1 tweak applied ORBX FTX England UK2000 Heathrow Xtreme set to High detail VFR London Scenery (No photoscenery, just buildings) <this doesn't eat up that many frames, my system handles it well Ultimate Traffic 2 s…

Guy's could someone advise the following, I need to do a complete reinstall of fsx and all addons, I want to remove everything from the default C:\ programs(x86) drive and install onto my free "F" drive so in doing so does all the addons like REX, FTXG, FTXVECTOR, FSGLOBAL 2010, PMDG, ASN etc, etc be installed on "F" drive?

Does anyone know how to disable the AES airstairs, as I want to just use the ones provided with GSX. Whenever I am at a stand with no jetway, parking brake on and engines off, I always get two pairs of stairs. One pair is from the GSX package which appear when boarding and deboarding are selected. The other pair automatically appear because the airport I am at is activated in AES. I only want to use AES solely for jetways. I've tried removing the scenery folder from the AES folder in FSX/Aerosoft/ but this also disables the jetways. I don't want to see the AES airstairs or the marshaller or ground personnel.

I've begun thinking it's time to start exploring places outside of the USA since I now feel fairly comfortable with the aircraft I have and want to start taking longer flights. The airports right now that I am planning on getting are FT Dubai, TNCM, FSDT Zurich, and it appears UK2000 has a nice selection of airports also. If anybody has any suggestions on other airports or developers to check out it would be much appreciated. The regions I am mostly looking for are Europe, Asia, and South America. Is there a way to keep the sound from FSX audible when the FSX window is unfocused? I use several ancillary programs (EZDOK, Plan-G etc.) and when I use them the FSX sound is lost.

Hey all, Had an iffy experience landing at Gatwick a few moments ago, I had selected 26L for arrival, but the aircraft instead lined up with 26R. Had to side-step last minute. Hi, should I install FSX to program files or to its own folder? Any benefits installing to its own folder on the c drive? I am using win 7 on my new computer.

Hi, Most AUTO reporting stations in Canada only report visibility up to 9SM. So when they report 9SM it could be 30SM. Also, Canadian reporting stations that are not AUTO usually report up to 15SM. It seems in OpusFSX, 9SM reported is taken to mean 9SM exactly and the same with 15SM. I believe any stations that begin with CY and have AUTO in the METAR report up to 9SM, and any stations that begin with CY and don't have AUTO in them report up to 15SM. I am not sure how hard that would be to change this but just an idea. Thanks, Mike

Hello, The beacon lights on the Feelthere e-jets 175/195 flash in the cockpit. I had a link to a fix on the old feelthere forums (which has since disappeared), which involved making some changes to the lights section in the aircraft.cfg. I cannot remember what the exact changes were. Seeing as I am not able to locate the fix, could some kind person post the changes here please? Thank you. Jonathan

Hi all- I'm trying to enter a jetway in the ES Citation XFMS manually from this plan... KPHX PXR J92 OAL MOD KSFO When I enter J92, I get 'pilot waypoint' with a Lat/Long entry field. Any ideas? Thanks, Mark

I usually fly during the day only because I don't like the dark of night. But I do like the lights. Question: Is there a way to keep the time-laps going and fly the "dust" scenery until "dawn" without going through the night scenery? Or can you just disable the night textures and fly the "dusk" texture until "dawn"? Any thoughts on how to achieve this in FSX? Thanks, Walt

Hi all, I'm hoping someone is able to help me here - it's quite frustrating! I just purchased the Q400 from FSPilotShop. I then tried installing the software, but when I get to the order page (where to enter purchase information), I keep getting a "NO ORDER FOUND" message. I also tried logging into their "User area" but is getting a NO RECORD FOUND. ?? What am I suppose to do now? I just spend $60 on something, I can't use... Their forums is currently offline (despite their Facebook-message, that it should be online)... Thanks in advance!
