Hi, I've just discovered Orbx airports which look lovely in my Orbx England scenery. The lack of AI traffic was resolved by creating various flightplans with AI Flight Planner. I've used this alot and traffic buzzes between UK2000 airports in my game. For the life of me, though, I cannot get any traffic to turn up at Old Warden or Stapleford. Not really checked the others yet. At OLd Warden I just tested it by having a Hurricane sat there all week and flying to Duxford and back on Saturday. But nothing. Is there any Orbx issue with AI traffic? I'm still getting traffic at my UK2000 airports.

Hey All! So i have a I5 4670K CPU ( 4 Cores ) I normally run Affinity mask set to 14. How ever i came accross something, where he said using 14 with 4 cores took up quite alot of the CPU Usage E.G 95 - 98 percent at times, but when he put affinity mask to 84 he said the CPU usage went down into the 40's and FPS improved. What are your thoughts ? Jack

Really impressed with realism of Opus Live Weather. Quick questions: 1). Spy window shows errors 9 & 14 --- I'm guessing this is because I have chosen not to install FSUIPC ? 2). Noticed big wind shift when climbing to new altitude. Would DWC help with this - or does DWC only influence lateral variation in winds ?

I just got a new computer and getting ready to install FSX Gold Edition. I comes with 2 disks, FSX and Acceleration. Are the patches installed when I install the Acceleration disk? Any tips on installing FSX in general? Thanks for the help.

Hello, I am starting training with the Garmin G1000 in the next 6 weeks, I am quite excited but daunted by the prospect, people say it's pretty tricky! Like in the real world, I'm flying the Diamond DA42 by Eaglesoft, but I gather this is just the FSX G1000 in the cockpit, and therefore most likely not the most accurate rendition of the avionics suite. So I've come down to two options, both are the same price, but one gives me more for my money. If I'm honest, all I am after is avionics realism with the correct menus and so on. My two options are either to enhance my Eaglesoft DA-42 with the Mindstar G1000, OR for the same price, buy the Flight1 Mustang. …

Long time ago, there was discussion of a PDF / formal document with a compilation of all tweaks. The idea was to make MS 'confirm/bless' the findings.. unfortunately, they are NOT allowed to do that. So, this is an un-official (not so formal) tweaking post. Included here are the tweaks with the biggest impact on performance for FSX. Is it important to uninstall REX Essential Plus BEFORE installing REX 4 or can you just install over the old versions? Stan

Hi guys, I fly online on VATSIM and use FSInn. I have downloaded every single WOAI package on the site of world-of-ai.com but I am not able to get enjoyment of it. Most of my online traffic is not shown correctly. Even common airliners like Thomson Airways, Air Berlin, Norwegian, Ryanair etc. has been shown as Air China; honestly I cannot see it any more. Even if I assign one of the Thomson's to the appropriate aircraft, I have to do it for every single aircraft with a Thomson callsign, that appears in my surrounding area. What I have already tried? I tried to solve the problem with two tools: AC_IDs.exe and ICAO 2013.exe - do not know the exactly name of the tool…

Just looking around and to me, it seems that not much of interest is being developed for FSX. We've got the PMDG 777, MILVIZ 737-200 an Airbus or two... Majestic just released its Q400, JustFlight's L1011... On the Corporate/GA side we have Carenado's B-90/200 and their TBM-850... Flight1 is working on a G1000 equipped BE-200 which will be nice. But what else is there aircraft wise? Anything good or have we hit a plateau as developers decide what to do about FSX... stay and continue to develop or move to P3D or XP... I recently bought MyTraffic 2013 for FSX. I can adjust the GA and Commercial traffic density through the FSX settings, but I can't figure out how to adjust the Military or Cargo traffic settings. This is very annoying, because every military and cargo space on the ramp is filled. Please help! Thanks.

Hey everyone, I've been wondering lately if there is a way to bring up a map of an airport that shows all the parking spaces and names (i.e. GA small 2, Cargo 1, etc) that can be accessed while in the sim? For example if I land at an airport I'd love to pick a parking spot ahead of time so I can plan the taxi route but I have no idea how to get that information. Thanks!

Today I tried reinstalling Eiresim Alicante and Dublin after a total FSX reinstallation after a hardware upgrade but when I enter my details such as my email address and serial nr I get an error message telling me the details are not correct and same thing for both products. When I tried going to http://www.eiresim.com the domain doesn't seem to exist anymore

Getting a new computer that will run FSX. Looking at UT 2 or My Traffic 2013. What will have the least impact on frame rate? Any pros/cons on these?

Hi Guys I am struggling with really high VAS usage and don't know what I am doing wrong. As an example, I just spent ages planning a flight, and couldn't even get to the runway of my departure airport before I got an OOM. My VAS was 3.85GB just sat at the gate. I was at Flightbeam KSFO with ORBX NCA enabled, in the NGX, using UT2. I know these are all demanding addons but everyone else seems to be able to manage to use high quality addons and keep their VAS to a reasonable level. Recently, I have faced a problem of extremely low fps on only some sceneries. And I found that everytime when the FSX is lag (only 7-8fps), it will be restored to very smooth state (~32fps) if I enter setting page on top menu bar then resume to flight. As a result, I wonder if there are some display settings have been reset or changed when I click into the setting page, and made my fsx become smooth IMMEDIATELY. Does anyone knows what settings in the display (e.g texture_max_load) will be restored when setting page is entered?

Update FSX with SP1 and SP2 and then install the expansion.
