Will there by any chance be any airports for Kansas City, both Wheeler Downtown and MCI? I visit KC a lot, both in real life and on FSX and I fly in and out of Downtown airport a lot on FSX and I would really like to see a detailed rendition of that particular airport. JLong321

I have plan G and really like it except for one thing, I can't minimize it so I can see the map while flying. Is there a similar program that would allow me to see a small map on the same screen that I'm flying on and at the same time see my aircraft moving across the terrain ? Thanks in advance .

Hi, The texture on my aircraft tends to fade and the skeleton of the aircraft is shown when in spot view. You can practically see through the aircraft completely.I have to restart the fsx to the texture back. How can i correct the gliche please. thanks

I'm trying to understand how developers create FDEs and I understand that is made mostly by data in .air files? Is it possible to pick up an .air file and mod it for your own use? I know it's probably forbidden to spread out a modified .air file for a payware, hence saying it's for personal usage only. I found this tool "aircraft airfile manager".. should this one be good for modding? I'd think microsoft would supply such gui tool, but I guess they didn't? Does Microsoft supply documentation for creating FDEs? Thanks.

I downloaded the ekod_fsx.zip file at AVSIM for EKOD. He has an AI Traffic file which uses several planes that are referenced in the manual. The planes are no longer available. Does anyone have these files or know where I can get them? This is from the manual "You need to install the aircraft. Iberworld flies a A320 which you can get as a complete packages from AvSim. Search for "ifdg_a320-200_iberworld". This model is not optimized for ai-use but that should be no problem with the limited use we make of it. ATR 72-500 og Bombardier CJ-200 are in the PAI library. Bought the Just Flight Sunderland Flying Boat and it has one of the worst sound packages I've heard. Has some odd loud 2 cyl low rpm sound in chase view when its cold and dark. Startup sounds massively rushed. Bring up the rpm and the volume changes very abruptly. Just really bad. Can anyone recommend some download somewhere better for this old bird?

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to set the sliders for Ocean & Inland water textures in REX Essential +, in order to get a good colour for Northern Europe seas & rivers. They always seem far to blue and untypical,but I am unsure of how far to adjust the various sliders. Any options would be welcome? Stuart

My sim has been running perfectly for some time now. I installed Active Sky Next recently and also upgraded GSX by running the full installer to update it. Some time since then I have 3 times now encountered a situation where the sim freezes completely for around 7 or 8 minutes and then resumes as if nothing is wrong. While frozen, sound continues. When it resumes, the clock in the aircraft and the position of the aircraft continues from that point. This has only happened in the PMDG NGX. In all cases this has happened early in the flight while still climbing. After it "unfroze" the flight continued as normal for another 3.5 hours. Thus does not sound like a VAS issue…

On starting FSX I'm getting this pop up error:- 'there are multiple objects with the same title name, they must have unique title names. F1UT2_321Daedalus simobjects\ut2 aircraft\321' clicking on 'close' just pops up another similar error.(hundreds) Have been running UT2 ok since I purchased until this morning, have to go to task manager to close fsx down to clear the error. have done a couple of re-installs but to no avail. any quick solution to this. many thanks bob

hello I have purchased the ifly 737 Fsx vers then paid the £10 license fee to use it in p3d ,when checking for any available update ,I find Fsx ver3.1pro available and the P3d vers 3.00.0003 available on flght1 pro site ,can any one tell me the diff between the two ? ,I have posted on the ifly forum but as I do not see hardly anything about p3d on their site I have also posted here ,I did read one comment where the poster had downloaded vers 3.1 pro installed in p3d update only to find it had been crippled many thanks for reading peter

Few days ago I uninstalled some addons and installed the Carenado C337 and since this moment the startup loading take 5 minutes at the autogen loading and when the game is started I have no autogen at all ! I tried with a clen fsx.cfg, logbook.bin... But nothing happens. Do you have any solution for me ? Thanks in avance guys !

Hi everyone, I am just exasperated with confusion over some things, but I'll keep this hopefully simple: I am trying to learn VOR navigation, and one of the things I'm trying to understand is how the autopilot works with this type of navigation. I am using the default Cessna 172SP. I create a flight plan using VFR and VOR to VOR. My flight will start from KBOK and go to the first VOR, OED. Okay, so my NavLog tells me OED is at a heading of 051 with a frequency of 113.60. I load up the flight and dial this frequency into my active Nav1 radio and put a heading of 051 into my Nav1 gauge. Hi everyone, For FS9, I bought a product called (if I remember correctly) FSHotSFX. It completely changed the way that AI aircraft sounded, and you could hear airliners from a fair distance away. They had a suitable roar on takeoff, and it was such a nice upgrade that I used to sit in my aircraft on the grass at a busy airport, and just watch/listen to the AI traffic come and go. Now in FSX, I have Ultimate Traffic 2, and all that's really missing from my FSX AI traffic experience is.....SOUND! You have to be sitting right on top of an aircraft to hear anything, and even then, it's an anemic whine at best. The fact that a 747 sounds like a blow dryer really kills …

I LOVE PlanG, not least in its v3 incarnation with its Google Earth type map view.. but I am so fed up with the programme crashing or stopping working in some way (user a/c suddenly sticks in one place). I and others have posted on the PlanG forum (and as it's freeware I hate to sound as if I am complaining there!) but I have come to the conclusion that unless Tim Arnot pays me a visit and sees what is going wrong on my PC, the problems are never going to be sorted. I'm not asking for help here with PlanG of course, just to ask what folks might recommend if I install another map. Hey fellas.I'm looking for a simple moving map that works with google earth. I've tried the latest version of FSXGET that I could find (0.1 beta 3) and I just can not get it to work. It sends FSX crashing to the desktop on my system. I really don't need anything more sophisticated that an icon which represents my a/c and that moves across a google earth overlay I have on a separate monitor. I have searched here and on google and have had no success to date. I see things like FS Earth but they appear to be a bit more than I am really after.Anybody have a good, simple Google Earth moving map that works with FSX & Windows 7 (64bit) ?Thanks!John
