Hi Guys At the risk of opening myself up to ridicule, I have spent my entire FSX "career" flying IFR in airliners - learning to program the FMC, performing ILS approaches etc...and I've never been even slightly interested in flying small aircraft 'low and slow'. Since discovering the world of ORBX I now want to start learning to do this very different type of flying to enjoy my surroundings, but I don't really know where to start! I can get a 777 halfway round the world via an FMC but I would have no idea how to do a realistic flight in a Cessna with regards to flight planning, navigation, procedures etc! Very little, almost non-existent, posting about this product. Some screenshots and little else, both here and at other sites. I bought it, even without reviews, because I just love this airplane: big radial out front, open cockpit, and two wings! I had Robert Sanderson's PT75 for FS9, and it was just great, but I am VERY disappointed with VS Studio's offering. Hello ive just got windows 7 and then installed fsx on to it and it ran fine and all planes worked fine so then I downloaded the an225 and when i was trying to take off the elevator would not pull up! So then I tried another plane and still the same problem but with all my planes the elevator will not pull up and I carat take off or pull up with any of them! so i uninstalled the an225 and there was no difference. :( Any help or advise would be useful thanks :good:

When I start FSX, 20 prompts say "There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique title names. Woa_AIA_B171_HAL-Hawaiian Airlines SimObjects/Airplanes/WoA_AIA_B171" I deleted the files since it said there were 2 but keeps asking me the same thing when I launch FSX. Additionally when flying, some WOAI traffc is black because I deleted them.

Before anybody says anything - yes, I have already searched. I am looking for a specific feature - I heard about "ideal flight" adding AI specifically to your departure and arrival airport - independently from the FSX sliders. This seems to me like it would give me more planes, visually (and I assume with ATC interactions as well, but not the most important factore) in the areas I fly into (and out of). Are there addons, other than Ideal flight (which I am not interested in), which feature this, or are very light on performance? I am not looking for a million different models or airlines, just looking for the skies to be less lonely. (btw, not looking to join vat…

Hi Guys! I'm really impressed by what PFPX can do. It's a fair price that they charge for thier software, but I'm not ready to make a commitment to the software yet. I was wondering if anyone was aware to a low cost or free alternative to PFPX. I don't expect it to do nearly as much but route planning and exporting to payware planes are the features I am most interested in. I appreciate your thoughts guys!

Quick qestion to the forum, does anyone know if FSX has native support for Ambient Occlusion ? If it does, is it worth enabling it in Nvidia Control panel or Nvidia Inspector ? Thanks, Buster.

This issue relates to ALL fixed/rotary jet and prop (default and add-on) craft. Having read through many specific forum related topics across the sim industry, nothing actually pinpoints where this issue lies. For rotary the helo decides to lift off by itself, or if descending to land, it does not want to come down to earth! Yes I know of the slight modification for the default 101, but that is what prompted to seek out the issue as it was surging on all craft. When you look at the throttles they move on their own or they quickly jump between idle and full throttle for a few seconds at a time! I installed it today in FSX and found its covered in trees on the runways and tarmacs etc. I also use FTX Global and FTX Vector. Am wondering how do I get rid of these trees? In my scenery.cfg I have installed FTX Global FTX Vector LC Addon Scenery NAS Lemoore (KNLC) I have played with these in different orders and doesnt seem to matter. I also deleted and subsequently resoured the specific trees.bgl in the KNLC scenery to see if that helped...it didnt.

Looking to get this addon, I'm into the whole VOR navigation thing. Was reading some older posts and saw some folks were having FPS issues with the addon and some other small bugs. Owners of the DC9, how is the FPS? I can run the NGX and get 30+ at almost all airports, only dipping down to 28 or so in bad weather on the ramp at more complex airports. I'd trust the comments people made about FPS in the DC9, however, those comments are more than a year old and hardware has changed since then. I recently purchased the Virtavia MH-53J pavelow helicopter because I like the heavy military spec ops birds. In tweaking it, I added an auto hover gauge and an ENB series night vision tweak. However, as these are very long range aircraft I would like to add an autopilot. Cutting and pasting the autopilot gauge from a Cessna 172 default plane doesnt work. (I tried.) How can I add an AP to this helo? This particular aircraft calls for so much more robust treatment, but the virtavia model is really good. If they had added a tail gunner it woulda been better, but I am happy with what I got for 15 bucks. Eric

As you can see I just joined here a few minutes ago. Whenever I fly on any plane from the Airbus X Extended and start off at the gate, GSX will not work. I have no idea how to get it to work. I have used all keyboard commands, reset keyboard commands to default, and finally downloaded a GSX from Aerosoft. What could be the reason that I can't open the doors on my Airbus X?

hi, i know it's a very common thread, and apologies if it frustrates you, but i was interested to know what people are finding their favourite aircraft add-on to fly in FSX at the moment? (as of May, 2014) ? I mainly like smaller (short haul or regional) airliners, and my favourite of the moment is the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 I still cannot believe this level of complexity and interest is available in an entertainmment product for 40 Euros. amazing! what about you?

Bought this on the Memorial Day sale at Just Flight. Installs and runs fine but the missions do not work properly. Sound files are there, Mission loads ok but the script does not get activated properly. For example, the plane loads with the engines running, everything on in the startup procedured tutorial mission. And commentator does not speak at all. Anyone have a fix to this or experience this?

I am looking into buying an ATC program. I have read that Radar Contact has some SID/STAR issues and sometimes Vectors you into mountains and etc. I also read that there is not much going on new with it. Is there no atc for taxiing? That is something else i read. I cannot really find much with Pro ATC X. I am hoping to get some feedback from people that use it or know more about these programs.

Hi All Wondering if someone can help me get my EZDok camera addon set up how I want it. Basically all I want to use EZCA for is for cycling through different VC views and for the shaking effects. So in a nutshell, I want to continue to be able to use a button on my joystick to cycle between VC > Spot > Tower > Wingview and I want to be able to use my hatswitch on the joystick to zoom around and up and down whilst in spot view. Since I installed EZCA I can use the hatswitch to move around laterally in spot view, but not vertically, and when I do this, it messes up the viewpoint in the VC. Failing that, is there a way to use EZCA to just add the…
