Im getting fed up with the horrible lights at some of Aerosoft addon airports. I have tried to applied the runway lights tweaks in addition to changing the size of some lights with REX Overdrive. This works ok with some airports such as Oslo X, Arlanda, Helsinki but others like Brussels X, Heathrow X, Dublin X, Paris X etc looks terrible. The lights are so blobby and oversized that I dont even want to land there anymore. Are there any simmers out there having the same problems?

I have both. If you like certain textures from each one, how do you get both to work in harmony ?

I'd like to add a 320 feet callout to the pmsound to make it more realistic but i have no idea how to do this.Does anyone know the answer? Thank you very much.

Within FTX, I just installed UTX Europe, version 1.1c. My rivers have some type of lines in the middle of them. Please see link. Any help would be appreciated. UTX River Picture Thank You. Silly me. I just realized that after the install of the UTX, it defaulted to disabled. I enabled it and it now works fine.

hey guys, i downloaded the 777 base package again after i did a fresh install of fsx. the pmdg installed correctly and upon opening fsx it didnt ask me to put in the activation key for some reason. im slightly worried to weather everything is okay. many thanks

Hello Everyone, Given the metroliner III bundle was on sale for $20 I purchased a copy! But my question is about the FSX install. The installer does not bring up my c:/FSX folder by default. It wants to install into a new folder called "Microsoft Flight Simulator". Should I change the installer to go directly into my c:/FSX folder? Thanks in advance! B.

I have been away from fsx for well over 12months. I am not starting my return and I have noticed that there is now a REX 4. Wow! I have just watched a video on YouTube and well I was well impressed. on my REX ( not 4 as I don't have this yet ) my clouds would look what I call flat bottom clouds and was annoying to say the least. After seeing this new video of rex4 I noticed the clouds look real no more flat bottom ( maybe this was my set up ? ) Anyway what I would like to know is If using REX 4 what is the strain on your computer compared to REX. Do you need some kind of mega machine to run this new software Craig

I got the saitek yoke a couple days ago. When i try to flare in large aircraft like the 777. I flare across the damn touchdown point When i try to get slower and lower to flare my wheels slap the ground. My previous joystick did not have this problem. How can I make flaring with the yoke easier.

I have been seeing lots of YouTube videos out there that use the enb settings. And some use the shade mod. I saw they have the shade for fsx in the flightsim store. Do ya guys use these mods? They look like a cheap and easy way to make the colors look more natural. Thanks

I am a real live student pilot and now I am working on my instrument rating, I was trying to practice some approaches, DME ARC and intercepting/tracking VOR Radials using FSX C172 G1000. I have loads of AI ships installed but since adding a dozen or so AI Airlines all the AI ships have disappeared from FSX. I've tried removing all the AI ships from Simobjects/Boats and all the AI bgl's from FSX/scenery/world files I then run FSX without any. I then put all the AI files back in their original place but without success, any ideas how to get the AI ships back working again? PS sorry if I've posted this question in the wrong forum, i did search for similar questions but couldn't find any help.

Hi! I recently made the switch to FSX and was horrified by its real-world weather. It wasn't even accurate! I started to poke around with Active Sky, trying to figure out which one to purchase. I want to keep as low budget as possible. All I really need from a weather program is real-world weather. If anyone knows any good ones, please let me know!

Trying to wrap my head around the Captain Sim B-52 but I'm sure other planes have similar I understand the Stabilizer Trim wheel will control the elevator position to maintain a 'hands off' level flight but this Pitch Controller thing I don't get. And does it have anything to do with the Pitch SAS Switch?

Shez released his newest scenery package for Yuma International Airport / Marine Corp Base Yuma, KNYL/KYUM. Thank you Shez for continuing to release very high quality freeware scenery. Package is in the Avsim scenery library, file name nyl2014x.zip. The only thing I noticed, and this could be my mistake, is one hangar type looks completely black. I have downloaded both FSCopilot and FSInn in their proper order. I have Windows 8.1. Everything in both downloads have been set in Windows 7 compatibility mode with administrator rights. My UAC was turned all the way up.When I go to FSX in the drop down I get the control panel. The pop up that processes the aircraft works. The little control panel appears on the left side of the screen. When the processing of aircraft is done, there's no pop up that appears that I can click on to energize the control panel. Hi guys, Just recently i play FSX suddenly i began to notice the color seems not be right, i will attach the picture . I did color correction, change resolution, and re-install graphics driver but still the false color still exist, Please let me know what is the solution for this as its affection the game color which makes unrealistic, Please look at color around cockpit and cloud some pink color bleeding. The LHC Fleet One page says that the collection is compatible with Prepar3d, but it doesn't indicate which version. Can anyone confirm whether or not these aircraft will work with P3D v2.2? Thank you

I recently rediscovered Lotus Simulations L-39 and I've been having a ball with it. So much so I did a repaint for it. I choose the number 4 slot aircraft of the RUSS Display team. I can't figure out (using the internet) if the EFB approach charts are real world charts or fake ones created by EFB based on FSX and AIRAC information... Anyone here who knows this?

Hey guys, as the topic title states, I lost the coastline from LAX all the way south to SAN. Where ocean should be is land. I didn't change any addons or scenery I just took off out of KLAX and saw land departing the 25s and I was like this is odd. The terrain extends maybe 50-100 miles off shore then resumes to ocean. Idk what caused this or how to fix it. Running REX, GEX, UTX, ASN, and UT2. Angelo

hey guys, upon trying to do a fresh install of fsx i keep getting this error during installation. i have no idea why i tried looking into the folder and that file did exists but keep getting that error. any help? many thanks.

I have recently started playing round with AI traffic in FSX but noticed that this gave a big hit on VAS usage. I use WOAI traffic and this was designed for use with FS2004 and so uses BMP textures, however I have read that DDS textures are smaller and work better with FSX. Has anybody tried converting the textures and has it made any difference. I have also checked my FSX folder and noticed that there are a lot of BMP files in FSX, including most the FSX scenery files. Has anybody tried changing these to DDS textures.

It's been awhile since I've actually flown, mostly I've been trying to restabalize fsx after my computer had a slight meltdown, and was wondering what you guys did when you had a rather long break from flying? Do you do short hops, or mess around a bit, or do you just jump right in as if there wasn't a break and learn to remember the details along the way?
