I have FSX all working well, AI aircrafts and Flights are good. I recently made a flight plan; SYD to BKK (VTBS) and the duration of flight was 18hrs. How to I correct this.

So I realized after spending a couple of hours trying to set up FSUIPC, and figuring out the various bugs, that all that work was gone today. Gone, reset. I'm lucky I don't have to reinstall everything. I do not know how this happened. Has anyone ever experienced a total wipe of their FSX settings before?

I'm looking for a list of airport ICAO codes in FSX that have been replaced in the real world since FSX was originally published, and their respective updated ICAO codes in the real world. For example: FSX ICAO - Updated ORBS - ORBI VTBD - VTBS I'm sure there are others. I've unsuccessfully searched this forum and elsewhere on the Internet.

Dear Community, I'm struggeling in getting an understanding of what is causing my elevation issues and white tile areas on approach. It does not matter what airport, as soon as I'm lets say 2000ft it's starting to show white tiles with autogen trees on it. At FL altitudes the scenary is really smooth and not white tiles what so ever. Once on ground the airplane is hovering several meters above ground it looks like, especially at the stands. I get this now, had FSX for around a month with no problems and suddenly this happens. When I uninstall SP2 it works fine. When I Re-install SP2 it shows this message again. I have a lot of addons. It's suggesting me to uninstall and then re-install, will that fix the problem? will I have to re-install all of my addons? Little bit noob here, will appreciate any help. Thanks ahead! Eran

Anyone know what software Froogle is using on his Fully Loaded KJFK to KDEN 777 video on YouTube? He says something about "ESE" and the app shows airport maps/gates, and displays nav info including departure, enroute, SIDs and STARs, etc. Did several searches with no joy. Anyone? Hi I started fsx config editor up this morning to untick sceneries etc for my flight and I noticed that there was no scenery in there. I booted up fsx and got this message http://i.imgur.com/dEtPkZn.png Is there any fix for this ? My scenery.cfg file is located in C drive and a FSX folder that I made ? Thanks

Hey guys. I've been a long time user of the MSFS series (since FS98) and now I've been using FSX since 2009 along with the default flight planner. What do you guys use for flight planning and navigation - addon flight planner along with gps or fmc systems? And is anyone still using default ATC. If not, which one? Need some recommendations. Mostly been flying default and addon GA planes.Thanks.

This has been ticking me off for awhile. FSX IS SO BRIGHT AT NIGHT. Even with phitt injection tool, the moon still shines EVERYTHING so bright, it's rediculous!!!! Maybe there is some ENB setting or something? Mod? Anything.... During the night in real life, unless you are landing at a big airport, you cant even see the WING. Let alone the GROUND. Anybody?

I have AI Ships installed with my FSX installation. I believe I downloaded it from FS-Shipyards, which does not appear to be online anymore. There was very little specific information provided with the installation, nor can I find any online support for this addon. I hope someone here has some familiarity with it that they can provide me some direction. I access the AI Ships addon menu and select the ship (or fleet) from the list of those available. The next menu is where the user selects the location to place the selected ship. This is where I run into problems. I would like to place the ship/fleet at a specific location along my flight planned route (along the coast…

Hi, I have many payware aircrafts in my hangar which do not have this kind of switch. Most of the default FSX have it, Some payware too like Just Flight's Freemium B-757 and Quality Wing's BAe-146 as far as I found out. In my opinion this kind of switch gives the VFR simmer the opportunity to decently test an airplane without going through big manuals first and gives him also the chance to set own waypoints tor a flightplan which would be useful for flights, for example over photoreal sceneries like the Swiss and French Alps, the Himalaya, or over the Rockies and so on. Hiya I am really trying to fly this great aircraft as best as I can, however I am coming across an issue I have recently bought FS Commander which I really like to to create plans with. Trouble is, when I come to selecting my Destination Runway and approach, a few things differ between the two Today I tried a little flight from EGKK to EBBR and in the MCDU I selected ILS25L and was greeted with a list of stars. Hello all Flying from EGGW-LPPT, at FL370. During the cruise approximately a quarter of the flight completed, there was no forward motion. I could descend, climb, turn using LNAV and HDG SEL in fact everything else was working, but no forward aircraft motion. The only thing I noticed that was different was the contrails were swirling like clouds around the underside of the fuselage and around the engines. Never seen this before. Any ideas? Hi. I've been having issues with FSX crashing with ai-player.dll appearing to be the culprit. As this only started with traffic 360 being installed I uninstalled it to try and confirm this was the problem. FSX doesn't crash at the moment but there is no AI traffic or chatter. Presumably Traffic disables the FSX file. How do I get it back? Thanks

After some problems here with some nice help I guess I'll need to remove and install my FSX again. But to minimize the time without FSX I want to know what's the best way to "restore" FSX? What are important files I could save and then only copy back? How should I remove everything best? And how should I install everything again (ORBX Global,Scener like Aerosoft,...) I hate doing that >:(

Have noticed recently that during night time, in front of me everything is like covered by darken veil, side vision is different - brighter. When I move my point of view, dark veil is following, and it is always in front of me. Quite strange, I am wondering if only I have like that, or is it another FSX glitch ?

Yesterday I purchased a new addon for FSX and was very pleased with it. So I immediately tried it out on a flight from KDEN to KLAX, beautiful. Then I shut down the addon and went to test a new tweak dealing with lights flashing on and off in DX 10 mode. That was also successful, until I went to take off in the T7. Upon rotate the nose slammed into the ground, tried to rotate again and bam, nose into the ground. this happened four times before I ran out of runway. Crap. I thought, now what. So I decided to take off from an airport that did not have the Light field Tweak, Same thing happened there. Now I am getting frustrated. So I removed the tweak all together, did n…

Recently I've found that for some reason my FSX lags a lot flying in the NY area. Actually I only have to start a flight and turning the camera in circles around the aircraft (inside and outside), every half a "lap", it stops and then continues turning. At first I thought that I had the settings too high, but then looking at the FPS it was always between 25 and 50! Then I tried to do the same thing (turning the camera) in other US airport and the result was normal. In LA, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas I have no problems at all. Also tried Heathrow and Frankfurt and everything was smooth... I don't have any scenery installed in North America yet, but UTX and GEX USA. …

I have a relatively beefy rig for FSX, and yet whenever I try to record with Fraps, my FPS goes down the tubes. For example - I tried recording a takeoff video from FlyTampa's KBUF with the CLS MD-80, and the best I was able to get was a mere 15 FPS. Is there something I'm not doing right or a way I can improve this?
