Dear colleagues, I need advice regarding airports scenery. So far I bought only FlyTampa airports, and I must say I am spoiled by their quality, and performance. Problem is that those guys are painfully slow with their release, so my eye is focusing on Aerosoft, as they have plenty of airport sceneries available. How is quality and performance comparison between FT and Aerosoft ? Aerosoft - is it worth of money and effort ?, is it performance heavy ? Opinions appreciated.

I am currently trying out the VoxATC demo. Thing is, it spawns default AI aircraft everywhere and this is eating a LOT of fps. I do have WOAI installed and already tried removing, renaming etc. the trafficAircraft.bgl but default AI still shows up. How do I get rid of it completely?

Hello, The rare announcement of A2A sales took me to their shop and I considered buying their lights package. According to the information I gathered it is for default planes. The cfg-list for third party aircraft was quite modest. How much effort do you need to get them installed to an odd aircraft?

Quick question, I have the PMDG 777-200. I downloaded MakeRwys, but I'm not certain where I should extract it to. The README suggests the "relevant" file. But is that C:\ or C:FSX or C/FSX/PMDG Also, when it finished running, is there any thing i need to do thanks

Hello, Could someone help me with a list of Microsoft Visual C++ libraries which are needed to run FSX properly? Also a link to those libraries would be welcome. I'm running fsx on a windows 8.1 x64 machine. Thanks!

I just installed the dash 8 version 10, plane loads ok in sim but control panel doesnt work. After install I get some links to 2 different panels, one named control panel and one named system panel, see pic The "system panel" leads nowhere, but the "Control panel" leads to simobjects/airplanes/mjc8q400 and has a "mjc84cpan.exe in it when I double click this .exe directly the following happens: translated: ...cannot start because the configuration adjecent to eachother is incorrect. Refer to event log ....."etc etc Anyone else have this problem? I'm on win 8.0 64 bit. p3v2.2 I selected to see the wingtips from cockpit on install.

Hello all! I know everybody was just as excited as I was when we finally got the long awaited Dash 8 patch which includes P3DV2 compatibility! Lucky for me I was able to get the full install from FSPilotshop with the new version. After installing, right off the bat I am having issues... First: MJC84 System Panel icon leads to nowhere. I click the icon and windows cannot find it. Second: The engine sounds are reversed. When I start the left engine, the sound is on the right. When starting the right engine, the sound is on the left. Uninstalling the above gave me 'black screens' on start up. I had checked everything including new graphic drivers to no avail. Reinstalling Shader restored it back to normal. Anyone else know anything about this?

Hi, I'm trying to re-install my MJC Q400 but, when entering my licence details in to the online authorisation box of the installer, I am repeatedly getting the message "CAN NOT CONNECT TO SERVER". My internet connection is definitely live (I typed this message with it :wink:). And I'm definitely entering my valid license details (checked 3 times). Can anyone from Majestic confirm if they have server issues? Thanks

Hi Chaps Firstly my sincere apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere on the forum. I have been looking I promise! I have had fsx for some time and have encountered all the usual problems with getting the program running etc etc! I noticed the other day that all the sliders in the settings menu have turned from green to grey! I don't see any real difference in performance but was wondering if this is a precursor to a meltdown? I have just added a networked pc to the mix with simconnect. Im having a strange issue with clouds in dx10 mode. Im using steves dx10 fixer and REX 4 Texture direct with asn. I notice it is not all clouds, just towering cumulus, especially when there are alot of them. There are many posts about this issue relating to AA settings, but i experience this issue even with aa disabled. i have tried resetting rex textures as well. The strange thing is my gpu is not straining at all, only showing about 12% usage.

Hello awesome simmers :) So i own the nice PMDG planes and have utx,gex and rex. Which make this FSX look really fantastic, the only i need now, is a better atc. I have searched on google, but i still don´t know which to buy. I will write for what kind of atc im looking for: Im looking for a atc simillar to fsx. Greetings! I have a perhaps clueless question about how to get a clock, any clock, into an aircraft that does not have a clock. I have been logging my flight times (start from cold/dark, taxi, take-off, land, taxi, shutdown) mostly using my wrist watch, just like a real pilot! However, I find that my flights are often interrupted by real-world demands (cook dinner, let the dogs out, let the dogs in, go to the loo) and it would be nice to PAUSE and have flight time stop as well. Some of my modus-interruptus scribbles can be pretty cryptic, particularly if I forget to note the start or stop time of an interruption. Some of my aircraft have a clock, some don't.…

I really love this mod but for some reason I find it hard to use with FSX in Full Screen mode. I can't re-maximize FSX without having some difficulty getting it to come back up. I never usually have this problem with FSX without SweetFX but the moment I use it this problem occurs. If I remove it the problems go away which shows that it definitely lies with SweetFX. I love this mod for its graphics so much but I am afraid I will have to discontinue my use with it unless I find a fix. After installing SP1, the yellow caution light still remains on and cannot be extinguished, just like in the in the pre-SP1 version. I thought SP1 was supposed to fix this problem, or, am I doing / not doing something. Thanks...Malcolm Arnot

I wondered if anybody knew if there was a program to automatically replace the FSX.cfg and the scenery file. Basically I want to have one set up for my PMDG 777 which has a large VAS footprint and is harder on the framerates. This set up will turn off most of the airports and have a lower LOD, lower scenery density and other tweaks that help. My second set of files will be for flying a small aircraft like a Cessna, flying at lower altitude and sets up more airports, higher LOD and higher density. This will have settings that FSX can use for better looks with a smaller aircraft. I have set up different files but each time I need to go in and change names before…

Hi I have bought Fiber Accelerator 1.20 but when i launch the program a message appear: FSX is not running or FSUIPC is not Activate or Missing I have tried to launch Fiber Accelerator during a flight in fsx and i tried to reinstall FSUIPC 4.934...but the problem still remain How can i Fix this problem?
