Greetings! I read somewhere online that un-checking unused scenery library entries will help prevent OOM errors. I have been attempting to fly from Dublin to Heathrow, all ORBX terrain, in a couple of aircraft, but as soon as I get near Heathrow I am OOM. In the Carenado Phenom I would crater about 20 miles out, in the eXtreme Prototypes Lear 28 about 10 miles out. Perhaps if I flew something slower and less demanding (like the trike) my flight would not OOM, but that would be one hell of a long trip from Dublin! Hi Everyone I seem to have real problems getting my sim to get fully dark. There always seems to be an incredibly long time to get dark. Just so you know I am not going west with the sunset either. Has anybody else noticed this? Any suggestions? Cheers Tim

High All, When turning gliders or most aircraft in FSX you get a lighting effect on the panel to represent how the panel would fall into shade depending on where the sun is. I find this annoying when doing some exercises in the glider and wondered if there is any way this effect can be edited out. Does anyone know if it can? Many thanks

Anyone take the plunge yet? I notice some mixed reviews on SimMarket about it. It sure looks nice in the SS there and it is a mega hub that is needed in FSX. Concerned about frame rates (I know IS has this issue with a few airports, mostly at night)..... Owners comments welcome.

I used to have a large list of flightplans but for some reasons they are gone. Unfortunately I do not remeber if they came with the program FSX or the PMDG-737. Can anybody help ? Hubert Werni

Recently got a decent amount of cash to spend. I mostly fly P3D, but occasionally will jump back into FSX. I was kind of thinking about buying either the 777X or the Concorde X, or maybe even the A2A B17 because of their sale, but I'm being open to any suggestions right now. Any thoughts on what's worth looking at? EDIT: I should add I've kind of drifted from simming the last few months, I'm sure something has gone unnoticed by me.

Hi. I don't know where to ask it, so I do it here . I have a strange issue with the 777 and EZCA. When I turn on ground or in the air my camera is also moving (what is ok), but is not moving back to the position I saved. I'm always sitting a bit too right or too left after the turns. I always have to correct this again. This is really annoying. What i have done: After installation of the 777 run the ezca.config Removed the DHM in the fsx.cfg (set to 0) I can disable the "effects" in EZCA but it doesn't solve the problem. I hope you can help me with this annoying problem. PS: All other planes (737 PMDG, A2A.... ) work fine. Greetings.

Hello everyone, I wasn't sure weather to post in the scenery or mesh section. A long time ago, I installed some addon scenery for KSEA to add the new runway. However, just recently, the grass around the taxiways disappeared. Now only the fsx city texture surrounds the airport. The artificial plateau is still there. I removed the addon scenery and naturally the third runway disappeared, however the texture still remained. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance, 1251452

Hi everyone, is there a way to setup the key to cycle through the camera views for the particular or all aircraft? I know that exists in Ezdok and is very convenient feature. How about OpusFSX? Thanks.

hi all I was flying today and went away for a while and came back and noticed my fsx frozen, not ctd but just frozen, after googling it I read on another forum one member said it could be heat issue, i then noticed my nvida gpu default gpu fan speed is set at 40%, i increased this to 95% and then flew again and kept the flight on for over 2 hrs and did not have any problems, so hopefully it was the gpu getting hot that was the problem, maybe help someone with similar issues.

I have recently installed Fibre Accelerator and use Ultimate Traffic 2 for my AI. I have just detected a trap for other such owners. Here is the problem. The keyboard control (unchangeable as far as I know) for fibre accelerator is RSHIFT + RCTRL + F12. Guess what? The control for increasing AI density in UT2 is SHIFT + CTRL + 12 also unchangeable as far as I know. So whenever the FA control is operated it also increases the UT2 traffic density for both GA and airline traffic. Once the UT2 traffic percentage gets over gets over about 96% you have fallen into the spider's web, it doesn't affect AI aircraft in that flight (except that increasing Ai traffic may ruin y…

[media=] [/media] Definitely will have more impulse to want to play around with Google Earth's "flight sim" mode once this is available :) I regards to how this relates to FSX well... should be pretty obvious as a possible source for 3D buildings. Don't know if that will actually happen but hey, Google owns SketchUp so who knows, maybe you'll be able to export an area as a batch of SketchUp models and then convert them for use in FSX. That'd be pretty b!tchinawesome if you ask me... Seriously they can say b!tch on television but I can't say it here??

Hi everyone, I've been trying to compare recent information on various weather add-ons. I have AS2012 but never had "great" results; I tried ASN and liked it. During the course of looking things up, I've also found OPUS, FSGRW, and some others. That said, most comparisons seem to be comparing AS2012 vs. OPUS, or there are some videos showing side-by-side comparisons but don't say much really. (They're nicely done but there is no commentary.) So... for anyone who has used/owns some of the current-gen version, any recommendations? 95% of my flying is GA aircraft. Dear all, I just noticed on my flights with the PMDG 777 some strange issues. 1. the exhaust plume is on the first part black and angled. At the end it's going white and normal (see 1st picture) 2. I'm using openLC Europe together with ORBX Global+Vector and since the new SP1 of PMDG the textures are not loading very well. At all textures not loading very fast. I had this much better prior PMDG :/ I'm using a tweaked .cfg (see dropbox link) and a not worse PC. I have never been more annoyed by the wave animations in lakes and rivers in FSX. All flowing in one direction constantly not resembling anything from real life. Is it possible to turn off the wave effect only in lakes and rivers in FSX?

The virtual cockpit night lighting in the default A321 is too bright and on my system results in an almost complete wash-out of the airspeed and altitude tapes. Turning of the panel lighting causes the entire panel to go black, and there is absolutely no gauge glow.Does anyone have any ideas on what kind of edit is needed to turn off the dome or panel lighting so that only the CRTs glow in the panel, as in the real world aircraft? I see in the weather options dialog that there is the option to choose a 'static weather theme' but these are always greyed out on my system. Is this something that will be implemented later or is there an error?

I have struggled finding the right Bump setting for light aircraft. For example I have tested most of my Carenado planes and have not had great success. I was wondering what settings you guys are using with your GA aircraft and more specifically Carenado etc.... and how much luck you have had. Thanks in advance LW

I use the hat switch on my CH Products yoke most of the time for panning around the virtual cockpit unless I am flying with Track IR. I find the the panning action is not super smooth and almost moves in small steps. This is not a limitation of the PC graphics however as if I use the Spacebar (pressed down) and then move the mouse, the panning effect is super smooth and more precise. Is there a way to make the hat switch react like pressing Space bar and moving the mouse? I have read that Ezdok might be the solution but that seems to be yet another add on to FSX that requires setting up, tuning and a potential for something else to go wrong, not to mention yet another…

When I go into FSX, I then go to the add on, then to control panel. The pop up to process the aircraft works. The little box at the lower left corner is there. When it's done processing the aircraft, the box that is suppose to appear to click on to isn't there. I've gone to click on set and then network. Have deleted then re-installed the servers and password, but that didn't work.
