I am still having problems setting up Live Camera. I removed ALL .cam and ,CDF files from the OPUS folder. Then created a set of views, saving each view as it was done. After completion, clicked OK and save. What should I sett in fsx.cfg to get max buildings, but not have more trees then what I get from having my slider at normal?

This tip comes from an experience with bunch of free and payware purchased add ons for FSX. When I want to get rid of some add-on planes, mostly tested freeware planes, I usually go to FSX root and try to find uninstall executable for it, or find it under start menu. But in few occasions after uninstalling I found that some of effect or texture files are missing. I remember that even after uninstalling one payware plane some crucial FSX files were missing. Conclusion? In the last few months I always, and I mean ALWAYS remove add ons and planes by deleting the folder in simobjects, and developer folder in FSX root. Been using FSX for years and now have a new problem. When I exit FSX in the normal manner the program keeps restarting . FSX appears to have closed down but then the Windows 7 pop up "a fatal error has occurred .... will now restart FSX etc" I can shut FSX down by pressing cancel on the windows pop up - anyone any ideas

???? Note, NOT ILS Approach mode, that has a noticeable difference of course in that it acquires the glide slope. This is on the Captain Sim B-52 if it matters.

Found out that Aerosoft Los Angeles and FSX Global mesh just don't work together. Van Nuys is a mess, and I'm not sure about other airports, but after uninstalling Aerosoft LAX, everything is back to normal. Do any of you know of a Southern California scenery that works with Orbx Global, FSX Global mesh, and Vector? Is there something I can do to make Aerosoft compatible with these other addons? Is this something that only I am experiencing? Stan

Hey guys! I do all my flying online on VATSIM using the FSInn pilot client and up until now I've been using the IVAO_MTL models as AI. Most of the time I do my flying in daylight but a couple of days ago I did a flight during night and noticed something I didn't see before, the parts of the AI models lit up by lights such as the tail and parts of the fuselage were all grey as seen in this screenshot. I highlighted the bad looking areas in red but also a good area showing the logo (although hard to see due to the dark screenshot) in green. Hello Forum, Running Fsx/P3d in Windows 7/64 - and I am expreiancing a bit of agrivation - I have looked around and can't seem to find an answer - even it looks to be a common problem ?? When I set the auto trim to true - in any plane - the vertical trim wheel and the trim tab get very nervous - just flipping up and down ?? - when autotrim is set to false things smoth out and act normal . un fortunatly I enjoy flying with auto trim on - saves a lot of aggrevation - chasing the aircraft all around - constantly trimming - would really appreciate an answer to this !! One thing I've noticed is the ATC boundaries, which is nice and all, but does can it show you FSX ai? When I connect to FSX it shows my aircraft, but thats it.

Hi all, Is there a tool available which would automatically place static aircraft on the ramp of whatever airport I'm flying near without the need for enabling air traffic at a high level? I use myTrafficX 5.4 currently, with all default traffic removed. My traffic settings are currently 21% for both GA and commercial planes, and the boat stuff is at 4% and cars are at 0%. This combination gives me a solid 24fps almost everywhere in CONUS where I fly, with the use of Fiber Accelerator. I have some planes in the sky to keep me company, and a few on the ground. In the past, I have ALWAYS had CTDs due to OOM errors when flying long distances using MegaSceneryEarth and custom airports in conjunction with PMDG 737NGX or 747 aircraft. This occurred so often that I disabled MegaSceneryEarth. This was so bad that I often had OOMs before even taking off from KLAX. Searching this morning for a freeware KEGE, I stumbled upon this freeware version on New Plymouth Airport, New Zealand. Though I wasn't familiar with the airport, it looked beautiful in pictures so I downloaded it and can say this is one of the most detailed and quality freewares I have run across. They even modeled the terminal in detail, but the FPS are great, so no worries about performance here. NZNP occupies the southern tip of the North Island, and is right on the coast. Hi Good People, As many of you may be aware over at the Ford Project Site last week we released a very large batch of Curtiss Jenny JN4D liveries for the Default Microsoft aircraft. Last Sunday I decided to have a bit of a tinker with the 3D Virtual Cockpit image and convert one to match the overall livery style so that when in the VC mode your view of the aircraft textures were in sync with the theme of the aircraft instead of the default white/grey style.
