So after thinking about it and researching for the week I finally bit the bullet and purchased FTX global. I have to say I'm not too happy with it. The screenshots I've seen look fantastic, but the actual product doesn't show half the auto-gen scenery. I'm running it on a i7 4790k with a GTX770 2gb and the sliders are set as recommended in the user guide. The FPS are steady at 30FPS (limited to 30FPS) and it's running smooth, but the scenery just isn't loading and it's kind of blurry any further than 5-10 miles. The buildings appearing and disappearing the whole time are what is annoying me. What settings should I look into to improve what I'm seeing? I am using Nvidi…

Hello. Is there anyone out there that has found the cure for FSInn causing FSX to freeze when trying to launch the control panel from the add ons menu with the NGX? I've tried every single thing that I can find on the Internet and nothing has worked 100% yet. I think it has been ok doing the "work around" of starting in a default aircraft and then switching to the NGX but, I'd like to not have to do that. I've been thinking about running it over my network from a different pc too. Does anyone have any bad experiences running it this way? Would the FSX freezing problem go away since the control panel would be run on a different pc? I'd really love to fly online r…

Bought the Just Flight - DC-8 Jetliner Series 10 to 40 (JFD-480) = 26.66CAD. Did the download, files showed as corrupted and would not allow me to install. Tried d/l again 6 times, used two different computers, one with download manager, one without. And tried Firefox and Windows IE browsers. The file size is exactly the same every time. I also turned off firewall and anti virus. Anyone else have a problem with this file, FSPilotshop download...or do you have any idea what might be happening and how to "fix" it? I have submitted a ticket to FSPilotShop and phoned them, no joy yet....nobody seems at home. cheers Bryan

Prehaps a young Eienstien can help me understand something that perplexes my unlearned mind. Where does the increase in thrust from the bypass turbine come from? I understand on a turbojet the intake turbines drive air into the combustion chamber increasing power phrehaps similar to a turbocharger. But the bypass blades blow air past the combustion chamber adding thrust in addition to the ignited gasses. It would seem the energy lost by the exhaust gasses having to turn these huge blades up front would slow down the exhaust there by negating any advantage. Kind of like breaking a dollor into two fifty cent pieces to have more money. This has baffled me for years so I now …

Hi all, I recently re-installed FSX and attempted to tweak it back to exactly how it was before....... I must have done something a bit funky because I have a new, annoying problem that occurs when my graphics are under heavy load; The sim constantly 'reloads' .... it does it on the ground, in flight, on approach at 200' (grrr!).... Flying a nice low visibility approach, into Aberdeen (EGPD)...... Doh! Would anyone know what would be causing this? ...... I've never had it before. Hello everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their vacation or at least trying to. I wanted to ask...as for now, i have built a FSX-exsclusive PC. Nothing else in there. Only my beloved FSX. So, i was thinking, since my laptop cannot handle latest games, to install them in the FSX PC but i am afraid of losing performance in the long run. Thing i do not want to because it took me 3 years to build my FSX PC. My question is... 1) Will installing other games (mostly online MMORPG games) in the same PC as FSX decrease performance in the long run? I need some help. I have tried installing FSX on my e:/ drive following the advice of Nick's bible for FSX. I have studied this topic for weeks. I am able to load FSX into the e:/drive. I boad the default flight and fly a few minutes, then exit FSX and reboot the computer. I then try and to install the accelerator disk I get the message I need the English version of FSX. I then try to unistall the FSX from the e:/drive using bothe the uninstall command from within the control panel and the system freezes up. I then tried to unistall or repair using the FSX installation disks with no success. So I decided to reinstall my windows operating system of Windows 8.1. Tried again…

Hello, I have a problem with the PMDG 737 - 800/900 NGX. When I want to start the engines, the "n2" is not rising, so it is not possible to start the engines. Does someone know how to fix this?

Hi all! Yesterday I made a flight from Bergen Flesland (ENBR) to Oslo Gardemoen (ENGM). Both are Aerosoft airports. The weather was partly cloudy, partly rainy. I had sat my LOD radius for 6.5 just for testing. I'm also using the DX10 scenery fixer. When I was close to land, I heard the familiar ding-sound. I though, well, might swell just see how far I get. But I landed, waited for the crash, but nothing happened. I even put the bird in the sky with autopilot again for 30 minutes just to check. But no crash. Is this how DX10 scenery fixer works? Or is the familiar ding-sound I head something else now?

Hello I have updated Opus to Version 3.50 and running the latest P3Dv2.3 with Track IR5. I have been experiencing a jumpy/stuttering sim with the Q400 lately and not sure what may be causing the problem until I came across a thread in the Majestic forum : http://forum.avsim.net/topic/450108-q400-pv3d-and-opusfsx/#entry3063338 It turns out for me too that when I don't run Opus I have a smooth, stable sim in the Q400. Never recalled having this problem with any other aircraft and Opus but there is definitely something out of sync between the Opus weather engine and the Q400 in P3Dv2.3. Is there any suggestions or workarounds to resolve this issue?

Hi all; Wondered if anyone could help- I have researched this a little bit but to no avail. I'm running FSX with Ultimate Traffic 2. All ok until recently. Now, when I am taxying, AI traffic departs no problem. However, when I get near the runway, all AI traffic grinds to a halt and just sits there. I'm also running Radar Contact V4. I haven't tested it without- but I always fly commercial flights with RCV4 running, so it's not ideal if this is the cause. Anyone else experienced this? Thanks!

Just installed OPUS client on my second PC. Networked and linked with the server (green boxes on both screens). Problem I have is that whenever I enter my destination ICAO code on the server, the box remains yellow (no matter what destination I put in) and as soon as I click on 'update weather' the contents are removed and the cursor placed back there. It would appear that it does not know where to look for airport information. What have I missed?

Hello all I am creating flight plans in FS Commander, exporting to the Airbus absolutely fine. When it comes to choosing my destination landing runway, EG Gatwick EGKK, it gives a STAR but no transition yet in FS Commander, there are transistions available. Does the Airbus auto add them in or am i missing a step? Thanks Paul

Hi, I got this airplane the other day and it seems quite impressive. I'm trying to sort out the basics while I'm waiting for my forum access over at Majestic. One issue is, when in flight, I insert a waypoint into my route while flying along the route. I successfully added it to the flightplan using the FMS instructions. So, for example, using the tutorial flight I am flying toward OO and I add ONO (Ontario) after it. When I go back to the NAV screen, however, the new waypoint is not there and the flight continues on to LERAK. No, I want to overfly ONO along the way. Can someone explain how to do that? this sounds like a good idea if you are not to fussed with high level texture details, you could potentially increase your fps quite substantially.

I installed opus for p3d and lost my default views for my ifly and aerosoft aircraft.Is there a way to get the default outside views back to what they were? i do have the live camera disabled threw opus. thanks

So while cruising the PMDG MD11 across the Pacific Ocean from Los Angeles to Hawaii, the REX weather engine decides to get new weather information. Okay great! Once it's done, my plane gets thrust into overspeed, off course, etc. etc. I'm pretty much done with REX weather engine. What do you guys use? EDIT: I forgot to add. Preferably something that can pull weather data from VATSIM.

I've wondered about this for years and have never been able to find a definitive answer. When you right click your mouse, you see a menu with an "Air Traffic" option, listing all the planes in a certain radius of your present location. The list is in alphabetical order and you can only see a partial list if you're at a busy airport. i.e. KLAX, KJFK etc. Is there any way to view the rest of the aircraft that are in the observable area radius but not on the list? My aircraft has so far gone from the UK to New Zealand via the states, but I like to explore each area I stop off in. The other day I flew from Christchurch to Wellington NZCH-NZWN in the PMDG 737, during approach to RWY16, I noticed there wasn't an active glideslop at NZWN. Odd I thought, it usually works fine, so after I landed I tried a circuit in the BN2 islander. Now this time I used the other runway 34 and found the ILS indications working backwards, the bar moved to the right but I had to fly to the left etc. I wondered if I had the course set wrong, but no it wasn't…
