Hello, As I downgraded to FSX from FS2004 due to a certain aircraft I have tried some freeware weather programs with FSINN being the worst shutting my engines at high altitudes due to extreme temperature... My sensor must be fooling me but apparently not. Hence question, which weather program is the best in your opinion when it comes to performance as FPS is a problem for me... For fsx? Payware or freeware doesn't matter. So far I know top ones are OpusFSX and Active Sky 6.5.

I recently purchased a new computer and in the process of transferring all my FSX files over from my old computer. The one new thing that has started is when I load up FSX, I get the following pop up message..."eSellerate ERROR - 25007 Machine Mismatch, and your activation will be verified now." I tried to Google this but nothing shows up to explain this message. It has not effected FSX, so far, but I am puzzled what it means.

Can you use navdatapro with fsx/fs2004 alone without an add-on(e.g.level d b767)

I've been perusing the aircraft flying on VATSIM lately and notice that the vast majority of them are Airbus and Boeing with a smattering of Dash 8. IVAO seems to have more traffic (at least this morning)...maybe 3% of traffic was GA (Kingair, Cessna, Pipers, etc.). So, do GA people just not fly much online? Is there a reason? Gregg

I stumbed upon this site and I am using their 3D drivers and took a test flight in FSX and in 3D wow! a HD projector on a huge screen plus now 3D = Amazing FSX experience!!!! 3D add depth to the image and with such a huge screen it is simply amazing! www.tridef.com

Shalom and greetings all my pals, As you know I am in processing of reinstalling all add-on planes and sceneries into my new laptop via software CDs, back-up cds containing software installations, or UBS containing transferred files from my old dying laptop, I have ran into one problem. It is payware France VFR Antilles Collection scenery consisted of Martinique and Guadalupe which is, although introduced many years ago, considered best best best of all Caribbean sceneries by any software company and I do not want to give it up. After spending half the day trouble shooting its time to panic. When I open FSX Im greeted with swirly wavy corrupted graphics! I thought it was my video card but DCS works just fine and several bench tests have also come back okay, What I have done 1. Reinstalled fsx from a backup 2. Reset OC back to default 3. Reseated and cleaned video card 4. Tried a different fsx.cfg 5. Updated Video drivers Its only FSX that shows corrupt graphics. What should I try next? i5 2500k OC 4.5 nvidea 560TI 2xSSD

Greetings All ---- most likely a known issue, but worth a mention anyway. Weather radar works fine for the first portion of a flight but quits after 15-20 mins of flight time. The radar mode, display and range selection functions appear to be working fine, but the radar stops displaying the actual returns. The TEST mode also display is erratic as well once this "stoppage" occurs. Any tricks or workarounds, or just a bug for a next revision fix ???? Many Thanks!!! :Big Grin:

All of a sudden the aircraft or helicopters I fly are unstable. Everything was fine last night and today whatever I fly the nose will pitch up without any input form the controls? Never had this to happen. Made no changes in my control setups or computer. Any ideas?

Hello All ---- enjoying the Q400 for sure. I fly a lot in weather, and wondering if there is a way to control the "automated" turbulence that the Q400 has in clouds. Not all cloud structures produce turbulence. Possibly I have missed it, but what can I do to adjust or cut off turbulence?? Many Thanks --- ^_^

Is it possible just to change the coordinates of an existent carriers route - so that I would have different scenery? If so, please how? Thanks Abe

Alrigh,t so I bought x plane 10 (not here yet) So i'm fiddling around with the demo. I can run the demo perfectly, and I prefer the default scenery. But I've watched a few fsx videos with some addons and it looks amazing. I can run default fsx OKAY so if I get a bunch of airport sceneries, airbus x extended, ai traffic and an atc addon will my computer be able to handle this? If so when x plane gets here I shall return it. my computer specs are... intel core i5 8g ram Hd 7790 1 gb thats all I remember...

Does anybody rememeber which line in fsx.cfg opens a 2d cockpit by default? I need to edit the cfg file, not change it in GUI. Thanks, Dirk.

Hi guys, So this is my first post to Avsim and I'd really appreciate any info I can get on this topic. I have played FSX for quite a long time at this stage, probably since it was released actually. I am only coming back to it not after about a 2 year break though. I have also recently finished putting together a new rig. It has the most up to date hardware, so performance shouldn't be an issue if the sim is configured correctly...along with my expectations! Migrated from FS9 recently so I apologize for the FSX novice question, but is it ok that there are no files or subfolders in the FSX/addon scenery and texture folders? Secondly, I've attempted to load TFI KALB 2010 freeware...it automatically installs to the FSX/addon folder, however when I point to this scenery in the scenery settings list...it won't load. I read a post where they suggested putting the KALB2010 scenery and texture folders into the addon scenery and texture main folders and keeping the KALB scenery and texture folders as subfolders...still no joy on the scenery when I fire up FSX and position on the active at KALB. I'm sure it's operator error. …

Evening Gents and Ladies, Was on FSX earlier, and i accidentally smacked my hand against my keyboard when i went to reach for something on my desk. It's hit some buttons on my keyboard, and I don't know which ones, as in the process it has caused my viewpoint in FSX to completely lock out. It isn't the yoke or keyboard, as they still work separately outside of FSX fine. For example, when im in the VC or spot view, the view will load, however I am unable to move around (looking up, down, left and right). Does anyone have any ideas on what I have done and how I can fix it? Thanks, James

So PMDG 777-300 apart, it seems like it's been some time since we had a major new aircraft add-on release. I don't mean the two-a-penny Carenado and Alabeo releases with default systems, I'm thinking of any new complex airliners to go with the likes of the NGX, T7, Aerosoft AXE, J41, MJC Q400, QW Avros, Coolsky DC-9, Flight 1 Mustang, etc, etc. Or for the GA fans, something of A2A or RealAir calibre. Hi all, I have noticed recently a strange visual effect while flying: - when I look at the landscape through the airplane cockpit windows or while in wing view I see a high level of terrain detail, ie no blurred scenery. - when I switch to any of the external views, say looking at the plane and the terrain from a POV above the plane, the terrain scenery is blurred and the higher level of detail cancelling the blurring is loaded in noticeable chunks, ie I see zones of the terrain switching in a progressive way from blurred to non-blurred. Just want to know the kind of routes and aircraft you FSX users are flying nowadays. Do you fly small GA planes on short rural hops or fly between big cities on airliner flights? Since my return to FSX I've been flying GA planes like cessnas and beech but I'm yearning for jumping in 737s and a320s and flying between big & busy addon airports.

I have both Rex 4 and Rex 3. I bought Rex 4 because I thought, you know "Hey this obviously must be better than Rex 3, its updated, more optimized and looks a whole lot better!".
