Hi all, I've been trying out EFASS for a while. Really like the product but I'm also aware of Aviasoft EFB. Seems to be a lot of overlap. I fly about 80% GA and the Q400...rarely heavy metal. Are there any better sounding sound packages for the Boeing 737-200? I love those old Pratt & Whitney JT8D sounds and I can't find a really good sounding one. Where can I find a really good sound pack for this particular aircraft? JLong321

I am wondering if its at all possible to assign a sound file (.WAV) to pushing a button (say VHF1 or PA on the radio panel) in the Virtual Cockpit of any of the payware aircraft we have available. I Should add, while I can fly the things pretty darn well, I am no kind of programmer or designer.

Guys, Having problems getting AI traffic in non-Orbx areas (I do have Orbx NA traffic). Problem is, I'm not seeing any AI traffic other than Orbx traffic and that means zero traffic outside of Orbx areas. Can you tell me how to fix? Gregg EDIT: Stating the obvious, both my commercial and GA traffic sliders are set to 50%.

Please would someone kindly advise: I have a Win7 PC with FSX installed on a (C:) SSD drive that's filling up fast. I also have a 2TB (J:) drive. I have just installed MyTraffic X onto my J: Drive, where in readiness I created a folder location - J: MyTrafficX. I noted in the MyTrafficX Forum thread (http://forum.simflig...-another-drive/) that Burkhard says: "All it requires is that you set the path to the MyTraffic folder in fsx.cfg properly, and add the MyTraffic folder as scenery" Unfortunately, though I first asked the question there, I'm getting little support response from the MyTraffic Forum. Hi chaps! There is probably a very simple explanation for this, but when I was setting up the startup functions for the PMDG737ngx 800 earlier I realised that if I set the passenger numbers to zero, cargo to zero and fuel to zero, the FMC displayed the ZFW as 45.8 (45,800 lbs). To me this would represent the all-up weight of the aircraft itself with no fuel and no payload. However I noticed that the gross weight was shown as 91.3 (91,300 lbs). I must have missed something so can someone please explain it to me? I cannot see why there is a difference between zero fuel weight and gross weight, when there is no fuel loaded and no payload. HELP!! I don't know what to do anymore. If i wanna play FSX, i start up my computer, then i have to install my video drivers, and then i can start FSX. As long as my computer is on, i can start and shut down FSX and start it again. No problem there. But if i shut my computer down, and maybe in the evening start it again to play FSX, i have to do it all over again. I have no idea why! I really hope someone here will be able to help me!! It's not really a big deal but I don't believe I have ever had the GSX marshaller tell me anything other than I am terrible at parking aircraft. All I have ever heard them say is negative comments, I don't know what a pilots got to do to get an "atta boy" or a "right on the money" comment? Has anyone ever heard something good from the GSX grouch?

I have a question for the experts. My main FSX install is the original FSX deluxe, with Acceleration added on. The other day I bought FSX Gold to try an experiment, and noticed that it had a C-172 with the G1000 panel that the deluxe version doesn't have. Is there a was to get that aircraft installed into my original install? Thanks in advance...

They were talking about PrecipitFX over on Orbx forums and I thought some folks over hear would find it interesting. No windshield rain effects, unfortunately, but the rest looks pretty cool. I just have a quick question.. does casting aircraft shadows really affect your performance that much? I find when I turn it on that it has very little affect... Do you have shadows turned on? Why or why not?

I have found some other topics in regards to my question but they've just made me more confused. Long story short, I downloaded FSX Planner to edit airports. I realized I needed SDK so I googled how to install that properly. I have FSX Deluxe with acceleration installed on my root drive C:FSX so I put in Deluxe disc 1 and installed SDK from that into the default location which was C:Programfiles(x86). I keep getting an error when trying to compile my .bgl files that it can't find the correct folder but I have it directed towards the SDK folder that has the bglcomp.exe in it. Are there additional SDK folders I need to install from other FSX discs, or is the…

I just saw the newly released DA-40 from Alabeo. I LOVE that it is the steam-gauge version as there are so many G1000 planes out there. Has anyone bought it? How does it fly? Is it possible to use the RXP GNS in it? I will likely be flying the DA-40 IRL and there aren't many good sim versions out there. Would love to try this one if I can use my RXP. Thanks all.

Hey there! I just made the switch from '04 to FSX, and I must say I love it. I really want to be able to record my landing, interesting moments, etc. Unfortunately, FSX's built in "Flight Recorder" often misses all the details such as flap positions, etc. and makes for a very unrealistic playback. I use Active Camera, and it's rather difficult to record a wingview and land the plane at the same time. If anyone knows of a good, and preferably free, flight recorder add-on thingamajig, I'd be greatly appreciative!

What's the rule of thumb when it come to working out TOD? I am currently enjoying the Milviz 737 using no FMC, good old school flying. But would like some guilds to calculating TOD. Is there a general simple way to work out TOD? Thanks.

As the title sort of gives you an idea of my questions but i will detail them a bit more: The A2A c172 trainer looks like an amazing aircraft for fsx as i have read, seen, and heard if anyone owns it i would love to hear some stories or reviews on it from you guys. And i have decided to go the extra cost and get the Saitek pro flight cessna yoke as i have read post and reviews on the original pro flight yoke and it seems the saitek cessna yoke is less faulty and higher build quality for the extra cost plus i am the kind of guy who wants the high end stuff to start with so 90 degrees sounded better than the 45 degrees on the original.
