Hi guys, after falling in love with the VRS F/A-18E and teh TacPack. I´m thinking of getting the USAF contender, the F-15. There are 2 on the market, one form MilViz (I have no experience about MilViz) and the one from IRIS. I´ve read about the Metal2 Mesh avionics uprade for the IRIS bird but they´re talking about an version 2 release. I´m pretty much undecided which one to take as I rate system fidilety the highest. Both seem to be pretty ok in that. Can some tell me their experiences?

I have narrowed down my list to the following: Razbam Metroliner Majestic Dash 8 PMDG 777 PMDG NGX I have several considerations to keep in mind that I was hoping owners of some or all of these aircraft could advise me on. Firstly, I don't have a preference when it comes to long haul vs short haul flying. I just save my flight if I don't have enough time to complete it. However, I absolutely love turboprops. Hi, some texture problem is puzzling me. I got very bad textures at night, while at day everything is nice and sharp. The two screenshot are exact the same, just on at night and the other at daytime. I'm using FTX Global, Vector and EuropeLC. It seems as if the night textures seem to need more time/capacity to load, so the time i fly over them they aren't fully loaded. But only at night !?!? I hope someone got an idea. Greetings Tony

I was reading this article regarding the completion of KFLLs new 8000 foot runway ( http://www.wsvn.com/story/26561291/new-fll-runway-opens-thursday-despite-residents-disapproval ). I see that the runway's numbers have changed from 27L to 28L. Is there a reason why many airports change the runway numbers in a similar fashion over the last few years? Thanks rob

Hi everybody. I'm actually having some issues with my FSX, and I hope you can help me to solve them up. Normally, when I load up my aircraft (I usually fly with the A320X) into any airport, I get around 25-30 FPS. I've got my FSX.cfg file tweaked and I use an external FPS limiter and a program called "Razer Game Booster" which optimize the computer to clean up all the operations working at the moment to use all the CPU with the FSX. The issue is that when I load up the aircraft the FPS are pretty good for me (I can fly without any problem or lagging) but as soon as I get closer to a cruise altitude, my frames come down to around 12-14 FPS, until final approach, appro…

Hi everyone, Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but I'm having an issue with Rex 4. I bought it a while ago, but I've recently done a re-install of FSX. I picked my theme on REX but it doesn't seem to be loading the textures into the sim. Any idea's on why this could be? If you need any info just ask! Thanks, Tom

Hi all! ^_^ I recently purchased FS Global ultimate, FTX vector and landclass to increase the scenery realism. I'm not quite sure if I have the correct order. Someone ones told me that it doesnt matter where all the FTX scenery is in the order, but I dont know about FS global. In addition, you can clearly see some of the scenery around Arlanda X being cut off and missing som additional scenery around it. This is just an example, but I see this other places in europe as well. See picture below. Anyone know whats wrong? I tried placing Arlanda X at the top of the order, but it didnt resolve the problem.

Hello everybody, first of all, i'm new here but certainly not new to FSX. Played it a few hundred hours already But theres a few things on my mind what i've never really worried about, but now i'm trying to make my flights as realistic as possible, i'm kinda stuck at one point.. My problem is, when i'm descending towards my destination (i fly VFR flights and plan them myself because the default ATC in IFR flights always screws up my approach, so i always start descending at a myself calculated point) and i start descending too late, it causes me to have to make a go-around, and when i start descending too early i always keep flying at around 2000 feet above the altit…

I would like to hear from people who have used any or both of these two utilities. Are they worth spending money on if you want to increase realism ? Do they work fine with advanced add on planes like A2A and PMDG or Realair ? Are they easy to use ?

Hi all, My PC has been running fsx deluxe version very well for the last five years, it's stable and never plays up, it's great. However my 500Gb hard drive is filling up with all of the various addon's we all collect over time, I am actually surprised it has lasted this long. Everything has been installed directly on the "C" drive and all the usual tweaks to the cfg files done, HIGHMEMFIX, TEXTURE MAX etc. So I have decided to get a new 1Gb hard drive installed to run along side the old one, the new one just being for fsx, and at the same time I have bought fsx acceleration, and will start off with a new fresh install, but I have a few queries first, which I wil…

Hi everyone! Lately I've been trying to cope with a problem that driving me crazy - incredible slow texture load and unsharp distance textures. Therefore, I have been trying to tweak my fsx.cfg which is already tweaked by the Bojote-tool. Major tweaks such as fiber_frame_time_fraction does not impact my fsx AT ALL. I can put whatever values I want but the sim still lives on. Same goes for other tweaks. I'm starting to wonder if my tweaks somehow doesn't reach the game. Does anyone own the addon air hauler? if so can you give me your opinions on it. Also if u know does the a2a c172 trainer work with it? Hello! This is my first forum here on Avsim. I would like to start off by saying I already have Rex 4.0, Pmdg 737 6/7/8/900 and aerosoft airbus x. I really am looking for a product that will enhance the look of the buildings and scenery (mountains etc.) I also am aware of getting airport scenery packs, but j want an overall enhancer to my ground scenery. Hello. I've never actually seen it active, as far as I know anyway, but can anyone tell me if either FSX or FS9 supports pilot controlled runway lighting? I've always wondered but never looked into it very far. I've looked through documentation for addon scenery and things like that but never saw any mention of it anwhere. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to add a world cam from Ezdok onto the deck of a ship? Like a ship that you spawn from the aicarriers2 program so you can record flight deck ops?

I lose around 10fps as soon as it's finished downloading real weather at start-up, is this a bug?

Hey guys, I have an issue with my REX essentiels+overdrive build 3.7.2013.0715 the weather is working fine, but the avoidance system doesn' really work. In the random weather mode it just shows the map without any weather and when you move the map it wont extend, so there it is just white beyond a certain area. In the real weather mode it shows the weather, but the map problem stays. hope somebody knows about this thing. greetings tony

Does anyone have any tips how to minimise the chances of getting a OOM with my current cfg also I'm trying to get good fps at fsdt airports too.
