I originally purchased FSX and the Accelerator pack in 2006. Since then I am using a new computer and want to put FSX onto it. I notice on the MS web site that there is a download dated 2013. My understanding was that the original development team has been disbanded and that no new versions would be released. Hence, my confusion as to whether I should use my original discs or purchased new. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Hi Are there any videos of camera setups (ie. like EZDOk) that you can point me to ? I am looking into purchasing opus and downloaded the demo. having some tough time figuring out how to setup the cameras.. Thanks

Thinking of putting this on my Birthday list, has anyone got it running yet on a 3 screen setup with nvidia Surround? Did you get the spinning cursor problem cycling through views, and if so did Majestic provide an alternative panel.cfg? Regards Steve

Hi Guys, I have the following MegaSceneryEarth regions :- New York Maine Vermont New Hampshire Massachusetts Connecticut Rhode Island New Jersey Delaware .....every time I try to get into some flying in this region, I always get put off by the lack of payware quality airports for this region. - the only ones I have are FlyTampa Buffalo and FlyTampa Boston - flying between these two gets a little repetitive! Does anyone know of any other payware quality airports (of any size) that sit in the above region? Tks

Hi, I will received my Garmin DVD GTN750 Sim full software this week. So I will be ready to purchased the Fligth1 GTN 750 GPS. But I have one question : Since I have FSX and P3Dv2.3, wich one should I choose (limited budget, not able to have two version) ? My choice will be based on the more fluid and less buggy (if it is) fo the two, because I amhappy with either FSX or P3DV2.3. SInce the GTN forum is available only to registered people, I cannot consult this one to make my decision. Thanks to help me. Michel

Hi all, I'm having this problem with the latitude and longitude: when I open the map with an active flight plan I get an error window saying that latitude and longitude should be written in another way( example E7* 50.53'). Why should I use an asterisk instead of ° ? Because of this problem if I save a flight then it doesn't appear in the load window. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled completely fsx but I got no luck. Please help would be very appreciated :unsure:

purchased the "long Haul" boxed version and updated to service pack 4. Not getting the 50-40 30-20 retard at all. Im running FS9. I see the sound files in the sound folder. ....any thoughts ? thanks !

Hi there, So about 1 year ago I brought myself a shinny new iMac 27", This has a i7 3.4 quad processor, 8GB ram, 256GB SDD and 1TB HDD, and a 4GB Nvidia GTX 780M Graphics GDDR5. Now I know everyone will say "why buy a mac for FS you can get better hardware on self build pcs etc etc", that is true however I brought my mac before deciding to start back on FS. Basically I want to know if I can run FSX on my bootcamp drive (Win 8.1), and at what kind of level. Hi I am currently trying to learn how to fly the Airbus X which so far is going ok, I have however noticed that while in virtual cockpit view I enter the flight plan into the flight computer I then go back to look out of the window and all my clouds have gone a sqaure shape. After a second or two they go back to normal, Is this normal? I'm currently using Active Sky Next SP1 with default cloud textures,

Did anybody get really deep into playing with the generators and derivatives in EZDOK? I'm very much interested in the resulting profiles. How about *.gen (in the first place) and *.dpp with *.mix profiles beyond usual *.mom , *.tde and *.vib settings. Please share these or post a link!! Thanks, Dirk.

Hi Guys I need help. Ran into a problem with my computer, having to boot up twice to get it working, once done all okay. Tried to refresh but it wouldn't happen, message said a couple of files missing but not which ones. Best way to fix this I thought incorrectly was to do a re-install of Win 8 which would replace the missing files. That went okay, but when I tried to fire up FSX all the aircraft were multi coloured, like as if you were looking at 3D without the glasses. Put a post on ORBX and a member told me to delete the "shaders" file and that it would be regenerated when I started FSX again. WRONG, now I have a black screen no multi coloured a/c no nothing. I was doing a fresh install of FSX and there was some Fonts from AeroSim 787 FMS fonts and i cant delete em i need some help.

Another piece of useful Flightsimulation tools in on the way and will be availible soon. The software tool is named “SIMconfigBackup”. Since I installed a scenery and my scenery.cfg was reorderd I was searching for a tool, which did a fast backup of all my relevant files of my flight simulator. Small, meaning not an airliner hub or a place that airliners RARELY, if ever, land. I don't necessarily mean high res textures either. I'm referring to lots of objects, things, attractions and fine touches. Which do you feel is the most detailed small airport to install? (can be freeware or payware)

I recently bought the Razbam Metroliner - I don't know how I missed this one until now - it's a beauty. One thing I am seeing though is relatively low frame rates, like for like, compared to all other aircraft add-ons I have. The Razbam Metroliner is giving me around 22 FPS average, in settings where I'd get 30 in the NGX, 777, or AXE, which is pretty surprising. It's fine in the air, this seems to be happening when it's on the ground, in add-on airports. What sort of performance / frames are others seeing from this add-on? .... is it the textures, perhaps? Any tips for improving performance with this add-on? Thanks,

I find myself flying in the same area constantly, because it's such a hassle to adjust all my OpusFSX camera views every time I switch location.Since FSX's viewpoint is dependent on your position in the world, I wonder if it's possible to adjust all camera views of a specific aircraft at the same time. If so, how would I do that?

I downloaded and installed Tyler Lawrence's FSX KALB_301546.zip from the library. I followed the installation instructions--all works fine except that the jetways at the terminal are not showing. At all other airports + payware airports that have jetways, they continue to show with no issues. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Still not seeing jetways. There is a gate.xml file within the scenery folder along with the usual .bgl files and AFCAD. Not sure if that is typical since I'm new to FSX. Any suggestions? Does anyone else have this scenery? Hi guys I got the milviz 737 last night and i cant for the life of me deploy the stairs or open the cargo doors. shift e only opens the main passenger door, but that's it. shift + e + (1, 2, 3, etc) does nothing. I was reading the manual and i can't find a single word regarding door operations. Registrations on their forums seems to be disabled. I tried contacting them to see if they could assist me or create a forum user for me, but so far no answer.
