Appreciate any ideas on how to eliminate a difficult stutter that only occurs when flying over Europe. My specs are in my profile. I'm using ORBX's FSG 1.2, ASN B5226. The last things I remember installing were a Ray Smith AFCAD for EHAM, which I deleted and still have the stutters, so it's not the AFCAD. The stutters happen with or without using ASN wx, with the default C172 as with the PMDG NGX. I deleted FSX.cfg and optimized the newly created one with the avsim basic optimization. Over the US, in multiple airports, large and small, payware and freeware, no stutters. The stutter appears to happen at random, and I loose perhaps one or two frames. Someone suggest…

Hello: I could use some clarification please. When I input an arrival airport into the FMC and go to "Menu" on the FMC to select the arrival RWY, if there are no STARs associated with that ARPT or RWY, the FMC doesn't seem to add any RWY information on the NAV display. For example I flew to RPUO yesterday. The RWY is 6/24. There are no STARs for this ARPT. When I selected RWY 6 in the FMC (I believe it was option 1), it then prompts me to add a STAR. I skip this option and select FLP on the lower right of the FMC display. When I move to review the FLT PLN on the NAV display, no data is given for the arrival RWY (no extended center line, no initial fix).…

So i just want to ask some general fsx questions and some about yoke and rudder pedals to finalize me getting into fsx before buying addons and such. 1. If anyone here has saitek pro flight yoke and rudder pedals can you please tell me what you think of the combo? i will be using the combo for mostly GA aircraft. 2. If anyone has the saitek pro flight switch panel and uses it for the cessna 172 by a2a does it work well? such as does the magneto switch work well and the master switches. 3. If anyone knows some good sort of small bush plane fields in Canada that is in fsx grass or pavement runways doesn't matter just a nice away from population kind of field.…

Pressing the A key use to cycle through different panel views. For some reason it has stopped working. This is in P3dv2.3. Oddly enough I can use SHIFT + A, and it will work to change the view but in a reverse sequence. Very strange!

Hi.. I don't know how to search for my problem in Google, so here I'm asking: when choosing any aircraft (FSX or PMDG .. etc) in the main FSX menu, and pressing FLY NOW! , comes the problem. why on earth would the engines be active as if I advanced the throttle then calmed it immediately? I tried all aircrafts ,, still the same problem, I tried standing at the gate,, and still get the problem! what can I do? I'm using mouse and keyboard (I'm telling just in case they're relevant) I could not find any option in the menus. so please help me!

I have Suppression Flight's "Ultimate Live Effects" and, although I like most of the effects, the one that puts rain on the windscreen is one I can definitely do without. The raindrops seriously obscure outside vision, are there at all speeds and windshield wipers have no effect on them. I've gone through all of the effects and texture files that I've been able to find that were installed by Suppression Flight but have had no luck finding which one(s) are creating this 'raindrop' effect. Can anyone help me with this? Alternatively, if someone knows how to reach Suppression Flight that would be great. Unfortunately, I can't find a website and their documentation does not…

I have a strange problem. I have imported the settings for the PMDG 737NG and applied them but when I activate the Live Camera/Live View as soon as I move away from the default view, the view is unstable. It flickers rapidly and you can see the other views for a millisecond at the same time as the 'proper view'. Once I return to default, the view is stable again. Any ideas what is wrong?

Hi all. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I travel a lot, so I invested in a fast i7 quad core/Nvidia GTX760/8Gb RAM laptop so that I can take the simulator with me. Using the AVSIM set-up guide, I have it running very smoothly indeed, and mainly fly around the UK using ORBX scenery, both in small jetliners and a Piper Warrior, as I learned to fly in one of those. I'm also using Active Sky Next and REX. The only fly in the ointment is that every maybe half a minute to a minute and a half (it varies), I get a stutter lasting a fraction of a second, which seems to happen more frequently on the ground. Hi guys, I just recently added my third ENB series into FSX and I am still having the same issue. When I turn on the ENB series, it is too bright. The edges of the screen has a bright fade around it. Just a couple of thoughts here about this product... I normally would never buy into this beta with "good things to come" mentallity, but there being no good A330's and not seeing an Aerosoft product anytime soon since the 318/319 should have been out long ago I bought the BBS 0.60 product last year. Im not gonna do a review of the 0.60 version as it is total crap, but that is to be expected... What I do want to comment on is the way they handle their customers on their facebook site (since they have no msg board of their own). They are nothing short of being total A holes... people come on there looking for updates and get nothing... people come on asking for sceens…

I'm about to make a comeback to flying simulation, I've previously flown with FSX, REX and GEX. I just have a few questions and would appreciate any adivce. 1 since Microsft no longer do FSX, what if any issues will I have with a fresh install on a new computer/ will it activate. 2 Is Prepar3D any better then FSX? 3 If Prepar3d is the way to go do I get the Academic or the Proffesional version? Hey everyone, I've recently finished a home cockpit which has a monitor behind the instrument panel to display my glass cockpit gauges. This will make the virtual cockpit completely useless one I have all of my switches installed. I am trying to figure out how to get the height and angle of view out the virtual cockpit windows to match the screen when I change to the 2D panel view, and hit "w" to make the panel go away. I have found out how to do the "Shift Enter" and "Shift Backspace" to raise and lower it, but this makes it overall higher than the cockpit itself and when turning left and right on the hat switch you can see you're way higher than the cockpit. Hi, i have came across a problem i found 2 airports with NDB that have changed for some reason. at EGNX rwy 27 should be 353.5 but in fsx its showing 353.0 EGGP rwy 27 should be 349.5 and fsx is showing 349.0 The reason i found out is through ADE and i haven't added any scenery what so ever. why has this happened thankyou.

Hi, next week I am going to upgrade my computer, by replacing motherboard, cpu, video card and RAM. The hard disk and software (Windows 7, FSX, etc.) remain unchanged. Will FSX automatically recognize the new graphics card and modify FSX.cfg accordingly , or will I have to do some manual changes? Thank you.

Hi, for a couple of weeks now I have a strange problem: one of the two Com 1 frequencies is always of by 0.01, while the other one is fine. This offset means that I cannot use the second frequency, which is particularly a problem during final approach on Vatsim when you have to contact tower. The problem affects almost all planes, but a few advanced addon planes like the Majestic Dash 8 are OK. Did anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions how to fix it? I already looked into fsx.cfg and the last saved flight, but there is nothing in it. Thanks, Peter

What i am asking is i lost my product key for my current fsx but if i get addons and install them to it then one day get a new pc uninstall everything get a new fsx then re install all my addons on the new pc and new fsx it should work because i uninstalled from old fsx and pc right? sorry if it sounds confusing im just worried if i spend all the money on addons on my current product key it wont work on a new product key after uninstall on this one. P.S. sorry if this counts as hardware related i just don't have much time to post and am really curious/worried about this so i want to make sure before purchasing addons.

Why does FSX ATC do this? I have Mytraffic 2013, and at any given time, at any airport, I will look out in the sky next to the field, there will be a LINE of planes, about 30 Feet apart all Landing at once. Eventually FSX ATC has to say to each and every plane: "United 362 Go Around", "American 119 Go Around", Delta 773 Heavy Go Around". Will a ATC addon help with this? It's to my understanding that no ATC add-on can control AI planes... Is there any solution or remedy to this? Thanks to anybody with suggestions.

I started remembering my first steps in FSX few years back,quite funny stuff I must admit. After some simple GA flying with default Maule and C172, I decided to start flying some default jetliners, and later on some routes with my first ever purchase - Flight1 ATR 72. These were some of my quirks: - using reversers to start taxing from the gate, lol. Later on when I found about towing trucks and pushback, and I thought "what kind of stupid pushback thing is this?
