Hi,Anyone else is experiencing a slow PF site? All the sections in it do not load after a long connection time. I also registered to the forum, I loged in but when I post a message it asks me again to log in and when I want to send the message it asks me for another time to log in and it takes me back to an emptied message box. I've seen people post about anemic airport lights and the fix is to download the "new" light s from FSW. Does anyone know the most "realistic" set? Are the gold lights more realistic than the "regular".Also, is there a way to brighten the city lights? For instance, when I take off from St. Paul Holloman field, I can clearly see the Minneapolis skyline at night but no "white lights" -- the city looks relatively dark except for some blinking red (or other color) lights. I should be able to see the city "glowing" from a distance. Running light slider maxed with about 3/4 on most other sliders...Anyone?

One of the pleasures in FS is watchin the AI traffic land and take off. After installing AFCAD I managed to make all the runways active at KSFO and its really fun to watch. My only problem is that I have to park my cessna next to the runway to watch the traffic land or take off. I have tried the tower view but that gives me a limited view of where my cessna is parked at. Zooming out gives me a view which only makes things worse by making objects look linke ants. Is there a way to focus on certain parts of the airport from tower view to really enjoy the traffic come and go from the airport?Another thing... Hi there girls,OK someone out there MUST know about monitor "refresh" rates and the effect they have on MSFS2002! I have had zero luck nailing anyone down about the subject. Here is the question: "is higher or lower refresh better?" Example: My Sony has refresh rates selections from 65 MHZ to 125 MGZ! I can pick any one I want...so do I want a higher or lower rate? They all seem to work OK! Is there a rule or a standard to follow? Whenever there is a design problem I can count on Arno, George, and Dan Martin to answer, a couple of other people (Ihor and some others) also, and that makes me feel like I'm part of a community. Wenever there's been a design problem that I can answer I post right away.together we've made amazing possibilities in design possible. Hi,I've just downloaded a few BAC1-11's from Project Freeware and I found a problem with the British Caledonian BAC-111 200 ...with full power on and brakes off etc ..it just wont move!! I had to download another one and transfer over the aircraft.cfg, air file , mdl file etc . Has anyone else downloaded this and had the same problem ?Cheers

ok guys i have given the AI traffic tools a spin and yes they are wonderful things, however it would be great to get the software to list maybe in time order the arrivals and departures of planes, i.e for LAX?is this already possible?thx!

This weekend, I did a TIF (Trial Instruction Flight) where I got to fly the helicopter for 30 minutes with an instructor. It was the second time I'd been in a helicopter, but the first time to actually control it. It was absolutely fantastic! I've done a lot of helicopter flying in FS2000 and FS2002, so I was really excited about seeing how it compared to the real thing. I'm happy to say that the sim is incredibly accurate!I was in a Hughes 300, which I take it is a fairly old helicopter, but good for training because many of the things that would be on a modern helicopter (like a governor for the throttle) weren't there. Hi all,I uploaded yesterday to my site eureka.ya.com/pacosancas an upgrade patch to version 2.01, which corrects several issues. Unfortunately my service provider [email protected] has shut down access to my site until "they investigate" the reason for so many visits in so short time (this is ilegal from them, as I have not broken any law by posting my freeware flightsim addons). I have 2 pc, one with Windows XP another with Windows ME, when I connect FS2002 with wide, NOT wideview, to the anoter pc it's work good, but now I have update the Windows ME pc to Windows XP and now I can't connect to the anoter pc !!!! Hi, I did a very pleasant discovery today. Looking for some swiss scenery I found a new and detailed mesh of Switzerland and the file is less then 830 Kbyte! to take numerous screenshots in flightsim instead of doing it the old fashioned way of print-screen, and then opening it up in paint. I remember seeing a program you can download that takes as many screenshots as you want. I've searched the forums, but to no avail. thanks.

So I am on a cross the USA flight from Maine to San Diego CA. All is going smooth. I am flight level at 32K ft. at 345 kts. Auto pilot is set. I am about one and half hours into the flight. AI Traffic starts to get heavy outside of Chicago. I am now over the upper midwest, in Kansas City air space. When from the south this 757 UPS, at the same exact altitude I am flying at approaches. This SOB crosses right in front of me, missing me by only a few hundred feet. I get caught up in his wake turbulence, it sends my plane plummeting down to 25K ft!! By the time I get flight level again at 32K, ATC has canceled my flight plan! :( How bitter is that! I guess that will teach…

This one has me stumped, and any help (Chris?) would be appreciated. I have installed the FSW Sky World 2002 utility, including the cloud packages. When I launch Sky World, I am able to select the different cloud packages, and can set up random clouds. When I launch FS2K2, I get the clanging noise that indicates that Sky World is running. Furthermore, when in FS2K2, I hear the same noise every time the random cloud generator is switching cloud packages (based on the interval that I set). The problem is that I don't see any changes in the clouds. Finally, if I launch FS2K2 without first launching Sky World, the clouds look exactly the same as they do with Sky World. When I…
