Is it possible to make plans that are friendly for the PSS 744 FMC?

I've just begun downloading AFCAD files from various authors and like them all. Great work guys and to the creator of AFCAD.Here is my question or curiosity.Are these files to add gates, etc. meant for a DEFAULT airport or add-on airport or both?I've noticed that if I add these files (or improvements) to add-on airports, sometimes the taxiway centerlines are off center or the AI aircraft taxi on the grass.Would or should an author of any AFCAD file let the simmers know via readme or whatever what airport he improved, ie default or add-on?Hope someone understands what I'm trying to ask.Thanks,Mike

Hey gang,Seeing the AirNet Lear 35 from FFG got me thinking again about this company and how I could probably track down some flights of theirs to fly.Well...I downloaded their "timetable" off of their website and then went to Flightarrivals.com, which is where I usually try to get some idea on the flights of non-passenger airlines. The closest thing I could find was a flight from DAL-TXK that was listed under USC, which I found is the 3-letter code for "US Check Airlines." I know that AirNet Express derives a good chunk of their profit from delivering cancelled checks for banks, so I just put two and two together. Can anyone please explain how the speed brakes 'arm' function should work in both real life and on FS2002?I would have thought that it was similar to the auto wheel brakes ie. as soon you're on the deck the brakes come on and if the speed brakes (aka lift dumpers) are armed then they would also be raised / switched on. I never see any effect from arming the speed brakes either in the air or after touch down ... ???Many thanks.

Hello!I am currently working on some new panels for the default B737 and when I add my own left, right, side, up, and back views for my custom panels, I still see the default "views" underneath them.Are the default views for the 737 part of the model itself, or is there a way to remove them?Thanks!Scott :-)

Why do I not get the cockpit show up when I use the FS Skyworld situations? I tried one in FS2002 and the cockpit is missing.

Hi!Ok, I downloaded the "shareware" versions of their airports to try them out. Question, does anyone know which bgl files remove the static aircraft? I see no need in statics since I have PAI and other traffic flying around. Thank you for your time. Julian

Hi guysI'm running fs2002 with approx 50% atc traffic, whilst approaching hannover the other day, i noticed the fr gradually dropping down to about 9fps. Not wanting to land using a slide show, i reduced the atc traffic to about 25% which improved things considerably (and also didn't appear to require a screen refresh)This got me thinking - wouldn't it be convenient if the atc traffic could be adjusted "on-the-fly" using a cockpit gauge. Reduce it when taking off and landing then increase it once on the ground or in the air. Knowing absolutely nothing about creating gauges, is this a feasible idea and if so, is there anyone out there who could produce such a gauge ? or am…

I have a few questions about the Alpha Crusader.1. Is it normal for military jets to idle at 70% N1? I've noticed this in all of the Alpha jets - is this something that needs to be adjusted in the airplane's files? I'm at idle (with my throttle handle, not on the gauge) when coming aboard, which doesn't feel right for a jet. 2. Is the F-8 as slippery and does it accelerate as fast as the Alpha jet? Coming out of North Island, I'm at 600 knots IAS in a matter of seconds. Also, I need to hit the air brakes to slow down to pattern speed. Normal?Thanks.Colin

I just received my wireless ED glasses and I am not having a good go with it! I am sure I have the dongle , etc set up correctly and have downloaded the sugested NVidia stereo drivers for Win XP from the ED site. When I boot up with everything connected, I can see the start up info on my screen, however when it opens windows I can't seeanything, it is extremely faded out! I have tried different refreshes, etc all to no avail. When I go back to just using my monitor without the dongle, everything is OK. I downloaded the Lear panel from http://www.fspanels.com to accompany the awesome FFG planes. When I select it from the a/c menu though, I get the gauge error messages. Anyone know of an update to fix this, or where I can find a whole nother panel of the same quality?Thanks

Just upgraded to a new computer and need to download the 747 and 777 without having to purchase again. Have all the purchase info from previous download. How do I go about aquiring these aircraft and panels? Could not find direct e-mail assistance at the PSS site. Also tried to post this at the PSS forum with no luck from the PSS people. Any help is appreciated.

What is it I need to increase the level or number of trees that autogen produces ? I recall there was something I read some time back when I was a little busy to take note. Will this autogen update be compatible with Autogenius ?Your help appreciated.ThanksSteve

As I understand V1, it is a kind of point of no return. Once the aircraft has reached V1, there is no way to stop the take off roll in order not to overshoot the runway. But isn't this depending on the rwy length? E. g. to bring a 737 to a standstill from V1 might not be possible on a 6000 ft rwy, but I guess it is possible on a 13000 ft rwy.So wouldn't it therefor be logical to consider the rwy length when calculating V1?Wolfgang

Hi everyone,I love the 707 (used to work on them) and so I am looking for REAL JT3D sounds. I do have startup and shutdown sounds but no real JT3D sounds from idle to take-off power and reverse thrust. All the sounds I have are either synthetically altered and/or from other engine types like the JT8D. I am looking for the original thing before those wonderful old engines completey disappear.Can anyone help?

I was flying around Rio today, and was surprised that the Christ statue was missing in the scenery ! Anyone that know if this important landmark in Rio is available for download ?

I would like to know how to REMOVE 3rd party aircraft add-ons. Typically, many files are installed, some going into the GAGES directory, and so forth. Recently I had downloaded one and was not 100% satisfied, so want to remove it. Is there a utility that can identify the associated components of a 3rd pary installed aircraft, and remove them, or must I try to do it by hand, file by file?

Just in case some of you ATI owners didn't know, ATI has released their latest set of drivers for all ATI cards. They are called the Catalyst drivers.I have always been a big fan of Omega's drivers but I installed ATI's for my Radeon 32 DDR card and am pretty impressed so far. No more flashing textures and it seems that the textures load faster.Check them out here: ATI Website

Hey there all! I was just wondering when Project Ai will be online?? I keep going to thier new web site address and it still say's Under construction?? I need to download thier planes for Ai traffic as I did not get a chance to Downlaod all the planes and liveries before they closed!!-:( I heard they make better Frames when airports are full of traffic! I want to try then out, since I am using POSKY's, Mike stones, and the default planes for Ai and sometimes they really make my Frames crawl when on the ground at a busy airport! So PLEASE AI give us a clue as to when you will have the Downloads available!! MIKE-:)
