I've noticed with night panel lighting on, Reality XP grey background does not display resulting in a black background.With panel lighting off there is no problem with the standard grey background.Any information is appreciated.

This weekend I will be building a brand new system. I am going to put Windows 98 back on my current system and give it to my father. I want to install my Windows XP Home Version on my new system (I own Win98 full version and the XP upgrade). When the OS asks me to register on the Microsoft Website how will MS know that I am not attempting to install XP on a second PC and attempting to run 2 installations of it? They will relaize its a different PC running my version of XP, right? Do i have to call Microsoft or something?? Thanks to anyone who has experinced this!!!John-PaulToronto

How do I remove the static aircraft from SimFlyers KLAX scenery? I did not find anything on their site, and their forum seems to be down at the moment.Also is it possible to only remove the commercial aircraft, and leave all the cargo ones?

From what I have seen the graphics in ILS Sturmovik are superior than cfs3 screenshots, terrain look crisp and the clouds are volumetric, everytime I saw some cf3 shots, look like the same story blurry terrain and some weirds clouds.Martin

I just got my force feedback 2. It works perfectly with other games except fs2k2. I made sure to have that joysick selected and calibrated. It feels as though the forces you recieve from the joystick arent right. Is there something im supposed to d/l to make it compatible?

Can antone tell me where I can find drivers for Sidewinder force feedback joystick? I just installed Win XP and my old software for the joystick does not work. Microsoft says it has drivers on the disk but I don't know how to get them to load. Anyone help? Thanks Steve S.

While I appreciate the moderation of the forums here (and hate being involved in flame wars) I also think it's a bit unfair to have a thread you originate locked in less than an hour without my given a chance at defending my position -- I guess that's the chance you take sometimes, but in the future I guess I'll have to write a few pages to make evertything clear just in case I never get another chance to comment.That said, I won't comment further on the other thread except to say that if you knew my full position you might have to rethink yours. Can anyone tell me how to open FS2002 compressed image files? They're mostly (.BMP) files but it seems its compressed in a way that you can't open it with regular image editors. Is there a plugin for Photoshop to open this files?Thanks,Pluto1168(kelvin)

I am building a new system but keeping my GeForce 2 for now. My current system will be going to my Dad with my old TNT2 Ultra 32 MB card re-installed. I am going to be running this for him using Win98. I have since lost the original CD with the drivers for the video card. I have just set up a new PC with two HDs (30GB and 80GB). I am considering how I will partition these two drives. People have been talking about Partition Magic. I know how to format and partition using FDISK. However, I understand its limitations as well. Is Partition Magic a good investment? Thanks!!John-PaulToronto

Hello all,Just a question to ponder. Is it possible to convert a FS2000 MDL to FS2002 format. I understand that FS2000 MDL files are in Windows DLL format while the new FS2002 MDL files are in RIFF (Resource Interchange File Format). The reason I ask is, you can use FS2000 aircraft in FS2002 and they appear to function correctly, but they do not work well as AI aircraft (ie missing or static landing gear, prop motion etc). So I'm wondering if a program could be created to convert the animation or display items that do not work as AI with FS2000 MDL's into FS2002 MDL format? If it is possible, than any aircraft created for FS2000 should be able to be converted for use…
