Hi,i have downloaded the Aircraft models of Project AI, and i am very happy with them.I had an interesting experience:The MD-11 did not show up! I found out, that this is because of the very big turning radius of 57m (so all my gates, even the ones that can take a 747) are too small. Then i took a look to the other aicraft models, especially the different 737's: The had a radius of 30 m (the Microsoft original 737-400 has only 22 meters.I now would like to correct these things, but- is the radius the wingspan (this would make sense, because in real life, you have pushbacks and the aircraft stand beneath each other wing at wing), or- is it the real turning radius, or- is it…

I've recently built a new system and before I start making too many changes would like to benchmark it. I have SiSoft Sandra, although I'm not sure what most of the benchmarks mean yet. :)What better though than what really matters: FS2002 performance. I'm thinking that to benchmark FS., you'd need to first remove any cap on fps that has been set up on Options/Display, and maybe even disable AI traffic, as it varies not only by day and hour, but there's so much development in this area that traffic.bgl's are liable to big changes. (Note, my thoughts are for my internal use in tweaking alone, although I'd be more than happy to share with anyone).Any ideas, or is anyone …

Today I was going to fly a long haul with 767 PIC: ESSA-KEWR. Everything worked like a dream until reaching 15-16,000 ft, when ZoneAlarm told me that DxDiag wanted to access the internet. "Huh?!" I thought, since DxDiag had never asked this before, well, certainly not while running FS at least. So I denied DxDiag to access the internet, and FS crashed with the usual error-reporting routine.Since it wasn't long into the flight I restarted back at the gate and everything worked like a dream once again - until I passed 15,000 ft. DxDiag wants to access the internet. Double huh?! This time I granted access, but once again FS crashed.Since I'm a good person, I use Autosave. ;-…

This may be a dumb question, but the wings are viewable in virtual mode on the Fox 727. Is it possible to move the viewing position backward to see them from a passenger's perspective? Thanks, ToddKCOE

I have just spent a wonderful day in the company of Captain Jay Gross, veteran of 30 missions in one of the 19,000 "Liberators" (yes, that surprised me too) built and made famous in the WWII arena. He flew "WURF'LESS" as Navigator - the aircraft was eventually lost over Brandenburg in April 1944. Jay was with the 458th Bombardment Group (H), 752nd Squadron. He was not on board when she was lost, although he flew on the 458th's first mission and regularly from that time.In my usual manner of converting everyone I ever meet into a flightsimmer, I now have Jay leaping up and down like a schoolboy at the prospect of actually being able to fly, once again, his lost lady in …

I have two hard drives, the original 8GB 5400rpm whish has Windows 98SE and some other stuff on it and another 7200 rpm which has FS2002 and some other stuff on it. Does this make any difference? I have plenty of room on the hd that has Windows on it to install Fs2002 but can't figure out how and retain the version on the second hd for comparison purposes does anyone know how to do this? Just downloaded and installed the new Lear from FFG. It comes with an installer and is a snap to set up. There is no included cockpit and basically its just a very fine aircraft model with above average textures, no complaints there. They have captured the lines of the aircraft very well and its nice to have a good looking, sleek learjet in the stable. I have abacus pro pilot stuff so I aliased the panel to the Citation for now as it works nicely and is fairly modern looking. It also works really well as private jet panel. Somebody needs to do a nice panel for this with some views I think. It would add a lot. Next I jumped into the sim and fired her up in Portland Ore for…

Hey Gang!Has anyone heard how our friends at Project AI have been doing? I wonder if they've been able to figure out the hosting issue. I can't wait until they are back on-line.Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

Hello All!Apologies if this has been asked before - I've searched the forum, including archives and had no luck.I'm thinking of buying FSMeteo so I downloaded the trial version and used it while flying a short IFR trip from Glasgow (UK) to Newcastle. (The weather in the UK is terrible right now - wetter than usual - never thought that would be possible ;)). The weather provided by FSMeteo was fantastic - very low visibilty with lots of clouds and rain.Only problem I had was when I was vectored to Newcastle runway 25 ILS. When I contacted Newcastle approach, on finals, I was told to fly downwind for runway 7. I assume this was because FS2K2's wind direction varied from tha…

Ok, I am at my wits end here. Ever since it first locked up 3 seconds after I installed FS2002, I have been sick and tired of having to reboot every single time. It has locked up EVERY single time I fly. And sometimes it locks up in a way that I have to actually unplug the computer! Sometimes it will freeze right away, sometimes after an hour of flight, but I never get to finish a flight because of this. And Ive had it since last fall. I am this close to taking a sledge hammer to the computer. But it never locks up on any other game, or program except FS2K2. I have tried everything, I have installed at least 5 new video adapters, and none help. I have tried every combo of…

I just had a look at the screenshots and info on the upcoming SF260 from RealAir Simulations and all I can say is, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I swear as soon as it's released I'm buying it!It will be interesting to see if what they claim about the aerodynamic restrictions of FS2002 have been overcome with the flight model!I'm thinking of putting all the other aircraft aside for the next six months while I fly the paint off it.If anyone else has any comments about it I'd like to hear it!James

Hi thereQuestion about looking around from the cockpit. Some aircraft that I download are often fabulous (Eastern African A300-600, A300-600 Lufthansa D-aiar and the Fantastic B737 United Shuttle from Fs Millenium) and I would like to thank for these aircraft, but sometimes the virtual cockpit that I can see is very ugly, and I am very disappointed about it.Does anyone know how to remove them and help me to solve this ?Thanks for your help guysSorry for my EnglishBest [email protected]

Hey gang, I just downloaded Bill G's wonderful ERJ panel and the FS2002 update, installed it on my machine, read all the documentation, and fired up FS2k2. Everything looks great except for the fact that a couple of the windows (namely the overhead, yoke, and GPS windows) have black areas which fill the screen other than the specific gauge that should go there, instead of being transparent. Also, none of the side views works--they're all black too. I could work around this, save for the fact that the only way to use the menu system on the MFD (as far as I can tell) is to have the yoke window up, which blocks out the MFD because of the non-transparency. I re-re…

Just a question from a curious guy. Which default airport do you guys think looks best in 2002? My favourite is Seattle. I just love landing at that airport.
