Flew into Barajas Madrid (main airport) today and was shocked to see seperate runways active for arrivals and departures. And this in the default mode!I've downloaded the latest version of AFCAD, but still haven't executed it (Why is a long story). But anyway, I thought the default mode of MSFS 2K2 was the longest runway for both, end of story.But there it was, 2 actives simultaneous.Any comments regrading this discovery, or am I way too late and living in the dark ages?Rick

Going from an P3 850 to a P4 2.2 is like night and day!I flew out of La Gardia with all sliders maxed including ATC sliders and the lowest it got was 18fps locked at 27fps. On P3 it would start jerkin and would not even come close. But this P4 kept on chuggin and kept it smooth.It makes me think of the day i was running a Pent 223mx system with FS98 and with evrything turned up it would just not run. Then i got a Pent 3 500 and then i relised what i had been missin. I am new to FS2002 having used FS2000 for a while and glad i went and upgraded because the realism is much better. Now my question I really like the Cessna Caravan on floats. the only thing is that i found the engine seems to run too fast at idle, taxi speed is fast and I cant slow the engine with the throttle alway back.I am using the Microsoft Sidewinder. also the brakes seem not to be able to stop the plane as well as the other planes . I have not installed ant 3rd party planes yet so all of the planes are what came with FS 2002 Pro . has anyone else had this problem

Hi Guys/GalsI have not been in the forums for about a month and I would just like to know if the A340 has been released. You know, the one that has all the 3-D seats and a virtual cockpit..I think it is a -600 series. The one that a lot of people are excited about. I am sure someone knows what I am talking about. 1)...I think this has been answered before, and pardon me for asking again, but is there a solution to eliminating the way some aircraft sink into the ground, taxiways, etc...?2) While taxing at many airports, the tarmac seems to disappear just ahead of my plane, and is replaced by ground or grass texture. I downloaded a very nice panel (he37-200pnl.zip) from the FS2002 panel library and it has a radio stack integrated into it. The problem is that it only shows the active settings for nav1 and nav2 and I can't change the values. Maybe the panel was designed for FS2000 which did not have active and inactive nav settings.Is there anything I can change (for example in the panel.cfg file) to make the settings editable? Thanks.

I am trying to install an airport scenery for Dallas Ft. Worth. I put a folder in my FS2002 scenery folder named kdfw. In it there is a Scenery and a texture folder. When I go to the scenery menu and add the scenery, then load the flight up at KDFW, I get two airports overlapping, the default and the scenery I installed.Is there a way to remove the default scenery? I just bought the new Waco aircraft and Bill has included some sort of API file with it so I can add hangars to any scenery I want to, but the problem is I do not know how to use it. What do I open it with and how can I add new hangars to existing sceneries?

After I installed FS2002 on my home computer (see specs at the bottom), the Framerate Lock automatically defaulted to 30 FPS, I have never tried changing that to any other value. I did change all my "Realism" and all my "Option" settings all the way to the maximum though.The problem I'm having is that my FPS are slow sometimes, specially when flying through dark clouds. Normally, I get 10-18 FPS, but when I fly through clouds, it goes down to 1-4. On a overcast day, landing with a framerate of 3-4 is almost very hard.* What would be the effect of changing my Framerate Lock from 30 to, say, 20?* Are there any setting changes that will boost my FPS without sacrificing too m…

I have had problems flying the default 737 using autopilot. Was getting oscillations in flight -- in spot view, the aircraft looked like a rocking horse!! Asked for advice in this forum - received a couple of suggestions which did not improve matters. Then I remembered that I had replaced the default Aircraft.cfg and associated air files with those from REAL AIR SIMULATIONS . So I put the default ones back in -- problem solved!!Barry

Does anyone know why M$ left out of their "Perfect" FS2002 the apron textures for KMCI & KOAK??? Certainly isn't As Real As It Gets. when you're taxiing up to the gate at Kansas City on the GRASS!!!! With the new GA AI-engine from PAI the tailnumber codes of GA airplanes fit the countries. Great!! Does anyone know a site where I can look up what the tailnumbers say about the origin of that plane?Rgds,Alex

I downloaded this aircraft last night, and all I can say is WOW. It is by far the most stunning bizjet I have ever seen for FS. Maybe the Falcon 50 is better in terms of complexity, but the lear has been very framerate friendly to me so far. One thing I did notice though, the docs that came with the aircraft said that when the speedbrake was extended that you would notice a drop in the nose, but I have been getting quite a bit of pitch up. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this. Thanks FFG for a great aircraft.Craig
