I installed the new Nvidia 29.42 drivers into my P3-1000, Geforce2 MX machine.At first , I thought they were great -- because , for once, I perceived an immediate frame rate increase. I used to get 12.5 at default Meigs with everything maxed in full screen mode (not that I run the Sim this way - just a way of comparing tweaks) and now I get 16-17 - a 25% increase!!So I was a happy little camper -- until I noticed that if I changed from windowed mode to full screen mode , I get this strange looking colours on my panel. Stranger still -- if I RIGHT click anywhere on the screen (which brings up the views menu) and then simply LEFT click also anywhare on the screen , the hor…

Hi I have a small problem .. Everytime I start up FS2002, it starts on the date I installed the sim... I have checked the .CFG fileand the sysclock=1. I am sending this out to you the simming com.BTW I am using Windows XP pro ver.Anyone else come across this ???I would like to start up on the exact time and date I am runningthe program on...thanks Mike

With a large collection of downloaded scenery, I have been slowly installing them, one-by-one, afterwards going back into FS2002 and checking that everything looked okay before proceeding on to the next.Everything was going fine until I reached California. Even after deleting, what I thought was the offending file, the pic below shows what I still have.I don't believe it is in my display settings for, as you can see, Arkansas looks just fine.I even removed the Maxview Landclass Package in case that had something to do with it.At this point, all I can figure is that I have something in the wrong order in my Scenery Add-on files. Hi there,I am waiting for the AETI yoke just in two days time and in a recent review I noted that this does not have the HAT switch to move around when in spot view or when in the virtual cocpit view. When I removed the hat switch option from my current joystick, I have found that in spot plane view you cannot change the height of the view just by the numpad keys - infact each time you move around the plane the altitude is reset to 0 feet which many times gives awkward views of the aircraft being flown.So in view of the fact that the new system does not have the hat switch - does anyone know if there is any other way to change the height in spot plane view when turning a…

Hi guysI've been regularly checking out the project ai site waiting for them to release their first set of aircraft. However, i've just got back from a week's holiday, decided to see if the aircraft were finished yet and wot do i get - a closed down site !!! I now read that they've permanantly shut the site down.Now i know this is probably a real long shot, but would any know if the aircraft files that were available have been archived anywhere or by anyone or would this not be possible due to the auto-installer function which seemed to be cause the problems ?ThanksGary

I upgraded today from an Athlon XP1800+ to an Athlon XP2100+.Answering my previous thread asking what I could expext from this upgrade a lot of people thought that there might be a 1fps increase and no noticable improvement.Well again I have to say that there is a well noticable improvement. FS2002 runs smoother even if it does not really show a large increase in framerates. But the short stutters I sometimes had are completely gone. Also in spot few when changing the view angle I had short stutters and delays. Gone! Texture updating is again faster as well.I am running at all sliders max and 1600x1200x32. I was wondering how does everyone feel about Wilco's new proposed release. For me the stupidest thing they are doing is releaseing a product with airports that have already been done by other developers and/or Microsoft. How many versions of KLAX or KATL do we need . These airports have already been done in great detail. Wilco's older sceneries featured airports like KBOS (for those who don't know Boston, MA.), KDEN or even KMIA. I can't understand for the life of me why they didn't try and release a product full of airports that have not been done already for FS2002 especially when they have a good foundation to draw from. Tried to update my nvidia GeForce3 Ti500 drivers from 23.11 to to 29.42, but FS seems to disagree. After the installation when I try to run FS it will either freeze or just disappear (close) with no message at all. I tried both installing the new drivers after uninstalling the old ones and on top of the old ones, but still the same problem, so I'm back to 23.11. Any ideas? Maybe it's a problem of the specific video card (Asus V8200 deluxe)? Hi,This may seem a weird post, sorry.My impression is that alot of people on this forum seem to American so that is why I am posting here. I am a British Citizen living in the UK (ie. no ties to the USA) and in a year I am going to University. I am looking into taking a degree in the USA but I have but not a clue were to start. In England we have a brilliant system called UCAS but it only deals with UK universities. I want to take a degree to do with aviation, I am interested in the systems side (ie electrics fuel etc.) but I know nothing about US Universities. Could anyone help? Further to the postings regarding problems that people are having with the new Nvidia drivers ---- I noticed that installing the drivers using the EXE file has placed 2 new startup entries in my MSCONFIG -- anybody else noticed this? -- and any ideas what they are for? -- I have tried starting up the computer both with and without them selected and can't see any difference.Barry

hello to all aviators. i'm in need of help with a file i downloaded from MS2002 panel...i've downloaded 737-400w/crew announcement. i did what thr read me file says and i still can not get to use it when i fly...can anyone help me with this minor problem? i have added the file [OLDMODULES] FSsound.dll=1 to my 2002cfg file. still nothing

Is anyone having a go at the ms737's vc? I was hoping a genius by now would have succeeded putting the autopilot numbers where they belong in the ms737 vc(or is it hard-coded), now that ms released sdk's for our benefit. I still enjoy the 737 although there are nicer 737's around, it's vc still stands for me.Paul Brand

Just wondering what some of your ideas might be. I have just upgraded my system and have decided to keep my existing video card until prices fall a bit.
