Ultimately saved the CFG file and reinstalled. I *thought* I'd reset all the options and added a few scenery items but all of a sudden I started getting serious blurries. The airports, mountains and buildings are fine but the 'countryside' in between is a mess. Removed the 1241 drivers and tried the 2942 - same problem. Last night I turned off some of the services on my XP Home machine as outlined at this site...http://www.blkviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htmI went from 26 services running to 12, and it seems to have made a noticable difference in Flight Sim smoothness. Scott Puddy, AVweb's Features Editor and author of several of their articles was killed in the crash of a Yak 52 last week. He was an ATP, CFI-I, MEI and active flight instructor as well as a lawyer. He was the only occupant of the aircraft.His loss hits me even though I only knew him by email. So is the lack of gates at say, KSFO, causing AI flights in the default FS2002 traffic.bgl to not "show" up?IE - can I add AFCAD updates to airports and expect to see more AI planes without adding new flights to the traffic.bgl ?If you know - let me know.Thanks,Myles

I have only recently started to fly the jets. Mostly I have flown the default 737 - manual takeoffs and Autopilot ILS assisted landings (I take it out of auto around 300 feet) . Too easy!!!!! :)But I am having trouble with the 727-200 advanced -- probably because it is maybe a bit more realistic than the defaults. For example, I am probably landing too heavily - thus causing landing gear to crash.Could anybody give me some "numbers" to try to fly by with this aircraft? The Txt file that came with the package gives a good explanation of all the panel gauge/switch functions -- but I have also have trouble figuring out how to use the Autothrottle with this one . Any help …

get passenger type views on Project Freeware's 737s?I know the VC eyepoint could be modified in order to get great moving wing views, but unfortunaely I don't know how to do this :(So if you (yes you!) know how to modify the eyepoint to get Wing views, pleeeeease tell me and I'll be forever thankful! :)

hi all, i set up 2 monitors on tuesday with a pci and an agp card, all was goin well for 3 hrs or so and then the monitor froze with these funny lines on the mouse cursor,i decided to do a reboot but it would not boot properly!then i decided to do a format of my c drive and tried and installed win98SE again, now everytime i get half way in the installation process the computer gives me a blue screen of death or an error message or it freezes in the process of installation,can anyone tell me what is wrong?i formated both c and d drive tried installing in d drive as well but same problems,my specsP3 800256 SD133 RAM9 gig and a 40 gigCD rom and CD BurnerWin98Asus P3V4x moboa…

As some of you may or may not have noticed, I was again absent from the forms for a short time, this time due to my ISP cancelling my service. So I decided to ditch the dial-up and get cable. Aside from the idiot tech not being able to do the job and me having to fix it (I don't even want to get into that one) I'm extremely pleased with it so far. In fact, I love it! Now I can have real-time weather enabled in FS2K2, and actually be able to play multiplayer games, among other things. This computer's finally starting to shape up, now all I need is a decent sound card and a DVD player and I'll have everything I need.Max Cowgill

Hi GangI've decided, as if my life wasn't busy enough :-) to get into scenery design.I would like to start off with Belfast Harbour, then Isle of Man Ronaldsway.My question is, does anyone have any good photos they could email me of either - especially buildings, overviews, layout etc?I will probably make a trip over to Belfast this summer and try to take some of my own, but if I could get a head start on designing the terminal - I would be [email protected]

First, thanks for the great plane Kirk. I have never tried Millitary jets in MS2K2 before as I thought the FPS would geta little choppy hugging the earth. But after reading the latestAVSIM "best of" downloads, I couldn't help but be taken buy thescreen shots. To my supprise FS handled the earth hugging at650+ kts reasonably well. Even with High Terrain mesh scenery.Just love the sounds and great skins. The Virtual Cockpit hasa wonderfull atmosphere.....which leads me to my Questions...I can't get the same cockpit view as your screen shots by movingback in the seat, the pilot graphics get in the way, so I'm onlyable to move back in the seat a little bit.Also, there is no 2…
