Hi.I know that FSFlightMax has been (very positively) reviewed here, and wanted to let everyone know about a fantastic experience I had with user-support for the program.After reading the reviews, I gave it a try since it's shareware. I liked it well enough that I purchased it. I was also intrigued by the on-screen chart option, so I went ahead and ultimately purchased a 50-pack of charts from Aeroplanner (they have a simcharts deal where you buy 50 outdated digital charts for $50 (you can then select and download them at your leisure -- sectionals, WACs, High Alt IFR, Low Alt IFR, ONC, etc).Unfortunately, upon loading one into FSFlightMax (it was Denver) what I saw was…

If you don't mind could you give a explanation of whatthe tools are/do and what are needed ( AFCAD, Project AI, TTools )and maybe how to use them/get started.Also - what files ( traffic.bgl ? ) that one should back up in the event they want to uninstall the tools.Thanks,Myles

I always thought that was impossible considering that planes are designed to seek stability. The common belief was that it takes a pilot to overstress the hull/wings. But then in the last issue of FLYING mag Peter Garrison describes accident when pilot died of hypoxia during flight and the plane spiraled down from 27,000 ft and broke apart while still in the air. There was a female passenger in the aircraft ... who survived landing ... in a hickory tree .. but this is yet another story.It was a twin engine Cessna Skymaster.Michael J.

Will be upgrading my video card to GeForce4 Ti4200, tonite. I am not a computer genius. Please advise if I have to uninstall and reinstall FS2002??...or simply install the card and when I execute the program it will recognize new hardware???????? Thanks:-newbie

HelpCan anybody shed any light on thisAfter months of OK frame rates 12 - 14 fpsAll of a sudden I am getting after 3 or 4 mins fyling a drop to around 3 - 4 fps and even down to 1!!!I have a slow ish machine only Pent 550, but 512Mb ram and a Radeon 64Mb graphics card.I have changed nothing no drivers and have installed no new add ons or drivers, I have loads of swap space?Hope somebody can help, I did do search but found nothing like this

Does anyone know where any AI cargo flight plans might be found?I'm looking for FedEx, UPS, Emery, TNT, or any others. I've found a few AI suitable aircraft, but no flight plans. I've looked at all the sites I can think of with no luck. The World AI plans by Ian Webber include some, but those are included for effect and are not based on actual schedules. I'd like to start experimenting with adjusting gate sizes and aircraft radius settings that will hopefully "force" cargo aircraft into cargo ramp parking spaces, but I'd like to have some real flight plans to work with. I need to settle a discussion with a friend about the term "Fly-By-Wire"!I need pointers to documents or sites with good definitions/explanations of the term in relation to modern aircraft?- How did the term come about?- Changes of definition over the years?- Difference in the implementation in ex. Airbus versus Boeing?Ex:Airbus (and modern mil jets) have "full fledged" FBW, i.e. flight computer adjusts to compensate "environmental changes" when hand flying the aircraft.Boeing doesn't do this, hand flying is hand flying!JTS

Hi, has anyone else noticed that using PAI planes, for example at KSAN, near the end of runway 27, the AI planes taxing to 27 for takeoff start to taxi very very very slow...almost like they stop and move stop and move, it takes them forever to taxi to runway 27, I have to tried runway9. Anyone else eperience this? Is there anything that I could do, Im assuming they do this at other airports too.Thanks,Bill

Hi, First, I can't get a screenshot to work, so will describe this weather problem I've had--maybe someone else has solved it. I set up using both global and local scenarios, heavy rain, 8/8 overcast cumulous clouds with bases maybe 500 ft, tops around 10000 ft, to simulate lousy weather to practive ILS approaches. What I see is perfect murk using the 2D cockpit view, but when I change to side views or use the 3D view, the hills and autogen trees go white, there is a blue clear sky band filling 2/3's of the windscreen, and a narrow which band at the top of view. Changing to spot view shows plane flying in complete murk, but using "Active Camera" fly-by views, plane fl…

I recently bought this package, but it only installed it in the default A/C. What is the easiest method to put it in other A/c? i.e.the FSD Cheyenne 400, Flight one's 421 ,ect.. thanks in advance!Glen

Hello everyone.Last night I was flying in my virtual world in the Mirage which is fab and I saw some aircraft lights in the sky and I thought about intercepting it to see what kind of plane it was so I climbed upto 33000 feet and started to chase it and chase it and chase it and I thought to myself, this is silly Im going at over mach1 and the plane isnt getting any closer, well it was but very very slowly so I looked down at my airspeed indicator and it was reading 470knots which I know at that altitude is fast and then I thought Id take a look in the Ai aircrafts config file, the Aircraft.cfg........Down there in the text was a line that said [Reference Speeds]flaps_up…

With both of the above panels my MSFS crashes when I try to change subpanels/views. In the main view they both operate OK.I get either a full FS2002 crash or a 3rd party software warning and FS2002 hangs. .... with the newly reformatted hard drive, a new MB and a new video card. I'm just about ready to try installing MSFS 2002 Pro.... at last! I know the program will prompt me to install DX8.0a (I'm currently running DX7.0) but should I just go ahead and install DX 8.1 instead?I'm looking forward to trying out the program this weekend. But I suspect that I'll be reinstalling a few other drivers first (i.e., joystick and pedals) and getting my Net access back with that 2nd computer. Really worth the download! Two versions are currently available (got them from flightsim.com), one with three liveries, and another one with a fourth. They are both complete aircraft with custom panel and use the default King Air sounds. First impression - very nice to fly, and they both capture the unique look of the original P.180 very well.Been waiting for a FS 2002 version of this plane for a long time - thanks, Massimo and team!

Further to my post about how to fly the AA 727-200 Advanced aircraft (the big 18 meg download over at FSim.com) --- I have come to realise that , although I have the "aircraft stress causes damage " box ticked in the realism settings, I never ever get any stress damage while flying up until now . Now, I am getting it while flying the 727. I regularly collapse the undercarriage on landing -- got to get that worked out!! So what is it about the default and other addon aircraft that I have flown ?-- they seem too easy to land to me!Barry

Does anyone know how to convert the Allied FS Group A340 to work in FS2002? When I installed it, I went to select it and FS crashed when I clicked on it. I've heard of people coverting them for FS2002, but I have no idea how. Thanks!

I just downloaded the Stearman for FS2002. I have no gauges in the VC. 2d cockpit is fine. I have never cleaned up or deleted any gauges. Do I need FS2000 guges by any chance?Pls help.Rds,alex

I just got back from some travel and while I was delayed at the airport, I got pretty engulfed looking at the winglets on different planes. Its amazing how varied in shape and size they are.
