Have been flying fsxse with a lot of addons a few years. One week ago I started havin problems with new addons - downloading OK but instaling did not work ( 3 new addons ) Have tried everything and today I tried to download X11 trial version and it was OK until I should install - .... I am getting desperate - can any one help me out?

Hello So i started a flight from JFK to LHR on the qw787. On the first try it crashed right at the gate. The second time i tookoff and used the jump ahead feauture to skip some waypoints and save some time. Then when i started my descent again it crashed. Crashing in the sense the pc just closes down. When i start it once again the plane is reloaded but then the joystick connection is lost. Does anyone know the solution to this problem? any help will be appreciated

When I try to save the mission at any point in “lost in the triangle” and reload it, it comes up as a free flight with no compass, voice direction, etc.. I tried saving other missions and it doesn’t have this problem. I know it is being saved as a free flight alone since when I end the mission after loading the save file, the mission objectives pop up doesn’t display and the “End Free Flight” pop up shows instead. Anything I can do? I was saving after I found the ghost ship and the boat but I also tried saving before takeoff at the beginning of the mission and it’s the same issue. Any ideas?

I went through the beginner and intermediate missions from the standard and deluxe versions of FSX. Should I hold off on the advanced missions until I have more experience? Are they for real experienced simmers?

Recently purchased and installed Ezdok V2, and got it all working up to the point of editing...when I hit numpad 2 key, I get the beeping, but my screen and mouse pointer disappears. Screen goes to my desktop, and everything is frozen. If I then hit num 2again, I get the shutter closing sound, the beeping stops and I am returned to fsx screen with Ezdok panel again. Everything else seems to work from panel except edit. Any ideas??? Thanks, Charles

I recently installed this into FSX-SE off the Just Flight DVD. After setting up the cockpit, aligning the IRS and checking the flight plan from FSX had been imported to the FMC (I think they call it MDU) I had to save the game and come off. When I reloaded later, I found the panel had reverted to its raw state - the IRS wasn't aligned and the flight plan had vanished from the FMC. Has anyone else encountered this and if so, is there a workaround? Mind I have encountered a similar issue with the Level D 767 where the FMC drops the plan so wonder if it's more a wider FSX on modern OS/hardware general issue than aircraft specific. This feels very strange and I am very frustrated. So I had recently reformatted my computer to upgrade to windows 10, and I cannot seem to get the ASN DLC to work at all, I keep getting an error with the dll.xml not being verified, even when I manually put in ASN into the dll.xml. I have installed all three simconnects and done multiple reinstallations. When opening fsx I do not get the typical active sky mode on the weather page. I don't think it even installed despite it saying it installed every time I uninstalled and installed again. I am at a loss. I understand very few people use fsx anymore, but any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I’m flying the mission “Flying Blind Across the Channel” mainly through AP. So on the g1000 I have the CDI set to GPS and the separate little AP pop up panel set to NAV. This works until I get near the localizer at the airport. I set CDI to LOC1 (it is picking up the signal) but how do I tell the AP to fly towards it? I tried pressing the APR button on the AP but it doesn’t do anything. Even when there is a glideslope indicator. Is there a switch I am missing? That’s my main question but on my second attempt I pressed PROC on the g1000 and set the ILS approach. I press APR on the AP and it seems to follow the localizer heading but it is not adjusting to the gl…

I have brakes (apply/release) set to a joystick button and the repeat slider is all the way to the right. When I press the button it says “brakes” on the screen for a split second. Even if I hold the button, the message on the screen disappears. But if I press and hold the “.” key, the “brakes” message stays on the screen and the brakes are continuously applied. Does this have something to do with the repeat slider or is there something else I have to configure? I did change the button from the default trigger button to one on top of the joystick. I own a Logitech Extreme 3D joystick. Thanks!

Hi fellow simmers, I'm wondering how much time it takes you to load fsx, and the how long it takes after you hit FLY NOW. Lately fsx is very sluggish in loading. I reinstalled fsx after I experienced stuttering. That did the trick, but loading times have remained annoyingly long. (Down below are my specs, plus installed addons.) Times to load: From hitting the fsx icon on the desktop to the main screen- 95 secs. Ultralight at bar harbor and FLY NOW to seeing the the ultralight over the scenery- 2 mins, 26 secs! I could make myself a sandwich! From the previous placement to A321 at KLAX- 55secs. From main screen to default A321at the gat…

hello, I got the complete pack of Just Flight's DC-8, including the liveries, but the game lags on my pc. my pc specs are: GTX 960M, i7-5500u (not overclocked, stock) 16GB ram, 512gb ssd. I am using old version (non-updated) of windows 10. any other aircraft including payware runs fine. I am playing on near highest without any traffic. any plane is above 40fps. but the Just Flight's DC-8 lags on the ground, and sometimes the outside lags, but sometimes the inside lags. I do not find a reason why the plane should lag, I can provide my fsx settings and add-ons. the plane lags mostly on the ground, but in the air it is fine. it almost makes impossible to land. please tell me…

Some missions have rewards to view when completed but is there any other way? It’s hard to tell from scanning the flight log. I don’t think the mission name is entered in it. Thanks!

The Superbug won't install to FSX Steam without further purchases. So if you have flown it in FSX, it won't fly in same platform via Steam.

I’m doing the mission Rome Naples Airline Run. I can’t seem to gain altitude much using the AP. I have throttle set to full and the ATHR button pressed and the VS set to 2000 and the altitude set but the plane gains altitude very slowly. Not like on other planes. Also it says my altitude is set to 11000 at the top of the altitude meter but the blue outline (the bug?) is all the way at the bottom. Is there some setting I am missing in autopilot or am I not going at full speed? The N1 on both thrusters is set to over 90. Which AP dials do you have to press in to turn on? I think it’s only the heading and Alt dials. Any help would be appreciated. I’m a stickler for doing…

Just curious why anyone would still fly fsx or fs2004. I mean, I understand that when fsx came out, fs2004 with a bunch of addons still held its own...but MSFS2020 has raised the bar to a whole new level. I guess if you had a homebuild cockpit and there are compatibility issues...but a homebuild cockpit is nothing compared to VR flying. I mean at one point I even had dual projectors, but I gave up my homebuild and moved on to flyingside (FSX), aerofly fs2, and now MSFS2020 in VR.

I'm seeing black powerboats in FSX/A, and sometimes black fishing boats. I enabled the missing texture line in the CFG and it reported that I was missing some powerboat DDS and fishingboat DDS files. Except that I'm not missing the DDS files, they reside in the Global/Texture folder, as well as my FSX backup folder. Unfortunately, certain boats still show up black and obviously missing textures. The only other information I have is that this stuff resides in the LWcfg.SPB file. Any ideas? Happy flying...

Hello. Yesterday I noticed a weird problem with aircraft's flight controls. I took off from an airport with everything working fine, and after 2 hours of flying when I disengaged the A/P the flight controls direction were right and down while I was not moving my joystick. Today when I tried to check if everything was fine, I noticed that the elevators was not moving. The rudder and ailerons were working perfect. I am dealing with this problem with all aircrafts. Furthermore, I am having this problem even when I am using only the keyboard for flight controls. So it's not a joystick problem or an issue from the addon aircraft I am using... P.S. I'm FSX-SE for 4-5 years…

Has anyone had issues with displays only loading 1/2 screens when using full screen mode? Upper center and left screen load upper half but lower half black. 3 upper screens used for synchronized outside view, bottom center is IFR panel. This only occurs in full screen mode. Works great in windowed mode. This occurred about the same time I lost FSX real world weather(no internet connection). I am planning to addon real weather and terrain, upgrade GPU(looking for 4 outputs, most have 3 now) but want to sort this out 1st. Does anyone know if there are additional paints for the freeware iFly 747-400 beyond the 7 it comes with? I don't mean the iFly Jets commercial 747-400. I'm talking about the freeware version on several libraries. Did they use Posky 3d models? Or the FSX default? Any info? Thanks guys.

Hi, With traffic labels turned on in FSX (in singleplayer) I only see them for traffic thats in the air. I can see them for traffic thats currently on the ground, but only if they are taxying and if I get really close to them. Whenever I have labels on in multiplayer, I can see the labels of all aircraft and they dont have to come really close in order for me to see the labels. My question is: How do I manage to see the labels of taxying planes in singleplayer without having to get really close to them? Thank you, Jessy

Hi, I have recently bought a genuine but previously used "FSX Gold & Accel" three disc pack complete with all leaflets, manuals and both authentication codes. Both FSX discs install perfectly but when I try to activate the FSX program on line I get the message that there is a problem connecting to the activation centre. I need to activate the FSX program before I can go on to install the Accel' disc. I have been trying to activate for over a week now. My question is has Microsoft closed the FSX activation centre ? Any/all help will be hugely appreciated. Thank you, Chris.
