I found on a old forum from 2018 that Aivlasoft EFB can inject flight plans into FSX. Is there any freeware apps or programs that do that as well. I do not want to be going into menus to load a flight plan and would like to inject it.

Which L1011 (Captain sim l1011 or just flight l1011 pro) has a more in-depth system simulation and can any of the two be considered a study sim?

I use FSX Steam but I want a study level 737. However, I may want to go to Prepar3d soon. iFly is dual platform, PMDG is not. Which version is more authentic?

Anyone using this software, can you tell me if the major sounds are authentic?

For those who want to add autopilot in there plane. Just copy panel.cfg from other planes in the directory folder MSFS SimObjects Airplanes. The one that worked for me is the Boeing 747 panel. Others are not supported so far.

I've had this issue before, and always following uninstallation and reinstallation of FSX-SE. I'm not sure it is FSX, or the Saitek/Logitech controllers, but my assignments of buttons, axis etc., on Yoke, Throttle Quadrant and Pedals, don't seem to 'hold'. Everything is fine for a while but if I change aircraft, or location, or restart the application, things start going wrong - I find the assignments have been 'scrambled' and especially on the throttle quadrant. Any suggestions please? Andrew

I recently uninstalled and reinstalled FSX-SE, and have been slowly adding back all my add-ons. I've had, and resolved, a few isues but today after trying to calibrtate my throttles (in Settings) my screen suddenly went black when a flight was initiated. I tested this with different aircraft and different departure airports, and it is the same on all. The main FS opening page and the settings pages are all there, as is everything else on my PC. If I 'set up' a flight and select 'fly now' it goes through the 'Loading Scenery' routine, and loads the flight (I can hear the cockpit and engine sounds) but the screen is completely black. I downloaded the demo payware mosquito and hate just about everything about it. I've looked everywhere for the DG one and can't seem to find links to anywhere other than a register only site. Is this the case or is it still available. How come such an iconic weapon is so under populated in FSX?

Suppose I download an aircraft that is a cargo aircraft, say UPS, or FedEx, either flyable or AI. A lot of my airports have designated cargo ramps. How would I edit the aircraft.cfg to make ATC assign to park on the cargo ramp instead of a gate? Thanks

Hello everyone, I have recently installed FSX in my device. Then I installed the FS Water Configurator and tweaked a bit to enhance flying experience. But all water has gone world wide. I fly gliders and have always need to apply significant amounts of elevator trim to keep the nose up and maintain level flight. This is substantial worse when I winch launch and I have noticed that the higher the performance of the glider, the greater the amount of trim needed. I have actually increased the ‘elevator_trim_effectiveness’ figure in the .cfg file for certain gliders just to get them to climb when being winched. Any thoughts as to the cause? For info, I use FSX Steam and a Forcefeed 2 joystick, which I have calibrated, and the issue exists on both the glider supplied with the software and third-party ones.

Since building a new computer last year and being more capable of flying into heavily congested areas, I have a very annoying problem when wanting to select the camera view to the runway I intend to land on. And that problem is that the list of "viewable" runways to pick from is often far too long for the screen area. As a result, the runway I want will often never be listed, even if I am on the base leg of a short final (so closer to that particular runway than any other). Is there a way to reduce the length of the list by somehow specifying a maximum distance at which the sim can pick these "viewable" runways to choose from? I really only use the feature when I am …

I recently installed FSXWX for FSX:SE. It didn't appear to work, which was fine, so I uninstalled it as instructed. But now, when I go into the sim, the only type of cloud is a fair weather cloud. If I set the weather to thunderstorms, there is lightning and rain, but no strato clouds, just fair weather skies. I then tried replacing the FSXWX cloud textures with the original cloud textures that I had backed up, but to no avail. I then tried to repair the game through steam, but that did not fix the problem. Please help, as I have tons of addons and very much would not like to have to uninstall my game.

Hello all.! I had a question regarding the piston duke from RealAir. I bought it some years ago and decided to reinstall again. Everything works perfect expect that i lost my clickspots in the virtual cockpit. I know this problem is caused by the 3DLights that are included in the model the developer stated this himself. The turbine duke has the option to disable the 3DLights and so the problem is fixed for the turbine version. But the Piston Duke does not have this option in the config panel. The Developer has send instructions and fixes to people who had this problem, but since RealAir died a while ago there is no support at all. All i need to know is…

Just loaded fsx again after long larlyoff. Tryng to fly Rod's IFR/VOR to zSants Monica airport. Lesson takes me to Payne VOR Zand Rod starts talking about Payne instead of Santa Monica. Loaded on windows 10 ..msfs2020 also on same computer. Same problem with disc or steam version.

I am a new member here and I am also broke, so I have to shop frugal, but I am using tax returns and stim checks to get flying with you guys. I presume the answer is "yes" as i3 is outdated by today's standards and FSX SE still seems to be flying, so ..... But I want to do my best to make sure.

Hello . I played around with FSX years ago but my computer was a bit underpowered so the bug left me. I now have a gaming PC and have purchased fsx steam. Am having good fun and the information available now e.g YouTube is staggering . I tried running P3D V5 but my set up (despite its Ryzen 7 and 16gb of RAM) just would not run consistently . My question is should I invest time and money in FSX or bite the bullet and just download 2020 ? I s there a future in FSX ?

Hi guys, My PC recently had an issue and was repaired in a PC shop. They've fixed it so all seems well. However, I now have an issue where FSX saves my save files, setting files, etc. The files used to be stored in "D:\Users\[USER]\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files" but now they are being saved in "D:\Users\[USER]\OneDrive\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files" Being saved in OneDrive is causing some issues with locked files, etc. How has this happened? How do I changed it back to how it was before? I think this is a Windows issues because the same thing has happened for save files for other games and vpilot VMR files. Thanks in advance
