I have a problem with some 3rd party addons in fsx steam edition with the default and fsnd 737 cockpit. I dont know why the fuel pump switches wont work, the sim seems to say its usable since if I put the cursor over it, it has a pointing finger cursor but if I press it, it wont work. The problem usually is on some cockpits merged into 3rd party addon models. Not all addons have this problem but most have it. Try installing this addon and try pressing the fuel pump switches if it works for you these are the one that I remember with that problem but there are more with that issue The problem applies to the 737 400 models 👇 https://www.rikoooo.co…

I've looked through the postings on this forum going back maybe 7 or 8 pages and have seen nothing related to this problem and its (hopeful) fix, so I'm giving this question a try. I have an aircraft I've copied over from FS9 to FSX and following this move I've noted the aircraft's cockpit windows are greyed out when viewed from the outside. From the inside out everything is normal as re: views. I'm not sure where the issue lies with this matter except the textures involved are in .bmp format and there may be something involving the alpha channel in the texture that is not agreeing with the FSX format. Is there a workaround for this greying-out issue?

I need a little help with fsuipc and wilco airbus planes . I have a registered version of fsuipc and I want to map my quadrant's axes with it which I selected "Send direct to FSUIPC Calibration" in order for it to work well. The quadrant mapping worked with all my planes in fsx exept for all wilco made airbus planes. The problem with the wilco airbus jet's throttles wont even move an inch I tried everything reading forums and doing other stuff but the throttles dont even work. I am in desperate need of this add on. I bought it years ago, but through some stupidity I can't find any of the serial numbers or files. FS Addon is a goner, of course, and there seems to be nowhere on Earth or the internet to buy a new copy. Does anyone know if it's available ANYWHERE?

Lockheed L-1249A Turboprop Super Constellation VC view doesn't go back far enough . The landing gear doesn't come all the way up. After they go as far as they will go they will not come back down. Anyone know where I can find a Dah 8 100 that is flyable and has a virtual cockpit? Freeware or payware is okay. I searched this library, and couldn't find it. I found some Dash 8 on FlyAwaysim but they either didn't seem to be flyable after I installed them (they didn't pop up) or they didn't have a virtual cockpit. I found payware through PremierAircraftDesign (or something like that) but the download link seemed to be broken and it isn't compatible with DX10. I have done my searches and just can't seem to find it. Payware or freeware is okay. Thanks for any pointers.

Hi, With my freeware C-47R 3.14 [FSX] the middle mouse gives no response when I eg. select the fuel tanks to adjust the dimensions (Gal., Weight,%, fuel remain). My mouse seems to be functioning properly. What could be going on here !? Regards, Guus.

Hi! My name is Keenen Davis, and I am a pilot in training for Delta Virtual Air Lines. I just got a brand new computer which runs much faster than the last one I had. On the previous computer, FSX constantly froze on landing and failed to render up-close images for seconds. On this new computer, FSX runs like a dream, and the graphics are fantastic; however, I've run into a problem with several aircraft that I've tried to fly. I am used to flying the A380 and the 777X at 485 knots at flight level 380, and have done so time and time again without issue...on the previous computer. On the new one, for some weird reason, the flight computer won't let me exceed 350 …

Can anyone help me understand where to find the default vertical speed setting for the KFC 200 autopilot in the Carenado Cheyenne II (PA31T). This vertical speed is set when you arm a new altitude in flight. The default setting is 500 FPM climb or descent, which is unrealistic in the Cheyenne as typical climbs are 1500 FPM and higher and descent needs to be at least 1000 fpm to meet typical ATC needs. Many approachs have several step downs which required lots of autopilot manipulating to reset the V speed each time a new altitude is armed. There is a setting in the aircraft.cfg file for "default vertical speed" but it is set to 0.0 and changing it has no apparent eff…

Everything in aviation especially when communicating with ATC or other pilots, is based on 'MSL' with regards to altitude --and to KIAS with regards to speed?The radar altimeter, if one exists in the plane, is never used in communicating with others. And, communication is always in English and in the Imperial System (ie. not metric). So if I went to Russia or China, ATC will communicate with me in English and use Imperial units?

When I prepare a flight scenario and choose an aircraft with, say, 4 liveries in Aircraft.cfg, FSX is only showing me the 1st of the 4 liveries & that is the one that gets loaded. Is there any way to get FSX to show all the liveries for an aircraft so I can choose the one I want to fly? T45 PS: Found that the "Show All Variations" box was unticked. Can now see all livery choices.

Prior to take-off should I adjust the altimeter so that it is always set to 0? Or, should I adjust it according to the barometer readings, but if I do, how do I remember the actual altitude during landing? Thank you.

I’m just learning about flying helicopters in mission tutorial #9. I thought when you push the collective forward (using my throttle), the helicopter should go higher. But I find that if I dont pull the cyclic control back a bit, the heli doesn’t rise. Likewise if I don’t push the cyclic forward, it doesn’t descend. Is this correct? I thought pushing forward on the cyclic controls was for accelerating.

I get the panel, but everything where gauges are supposed to go is blank! Now, I have added quite a few airplanes -- feeware and payware -- and when I can, I tell it "no" when asked to overwrite something (which it never has) when installing new aircraft. But I don't know what the installers are doing. I also know that somewhere in these files are .cfg files where I could check for the gauges files pulled by cfg and see if they are even there. I guess what I'm saying is, I have no idea where to even begin troubeshooting and I have no idea what caused it to begin with.

I have a strange problem with my FSDT KDFW add on airport when I use FSX ATC. For some reason when I get cleared from the tower to "Taxi position and hold" on the runway after another plane just took off, I never get clearance for take off once I am on hold on the runway. There is no heavy traffic and I have my traffic settings at 35%. I wait up to 30 minutes and never get cleared for take off at KDFW, ever. This was never a problem before I purchased the add on. Is there any connection between FSDT and FSX causing this to occur? It happens every time I try and fly out of KDFW, not any other add on airport. This seems to only occur if there are other UT II traffic…

I have been trying to merge a freeware A350 with the qw787 cockpit for 2 months now! The aircraft's brakes don't respond, the aircraft doesn't take-off till it reaches around 210 kts, about 10 ft above the ground the aircraft bounces and finally the gauges show "unable to start qw787" Please help me!!!

In the settings for FSX, accessed via the 'Customize' tab, there is a tick-box for 'Flying Tips'. Like all these selectable settings it must (?) alter an entry in the fsx.cfg file. For the life of me I can't stop these tips from appearing on screen even though the tick-box is not selected. I've checked, every time they appear, and the tick box is not selected; I've looked at the fsx.cfg file and can't find anything there, in fact I can't find a specific line entry for 'flying tips'. Should there be one, or is it labelled something more obscure? I assume any entry against it would be null or 0 to prevent the tips from appearing? Anyone, please? Andrew
