I have been going back and forth with McAfee reps via online chat (they appear to be resident in India). They are constantly trying to push the remote troubleshoot option (this would require me giving them access to my computer)... which I am not permitting. Is there anyone here in this forum using McAfee total protection on their systems? On a side note -- I am using Windows 7. I am trying to disable the entire McAfee protection system, because it is interfering with my FSX and Active Sky Next software. My RAM is being used up by McAfee, with very little remaining for the smooth operation of FSX. Thank you.

I have FSX and just purchase the reality-xp garmin 430 simulator add on. I can not seem to find the program for adding the 430 to my FSX aircraft. Help

I have fsx gold edition with acceleration on windows 10 new computer 10700kf, 3080 vid, II did the reset tool and that worked, rebooted proceeded to download cd 1 and cd 2 then was able to activate with the code, then prompted me to set up fsx asking me if I was new or I am back, up to this point everything was going fine, I also heard the music as well, after that I made my choice I am back, I got a total black screen on my monitor What happened and how do I correct that ?

Are there any aircraft out there that you believe have a really accurate representation of the constant speed prop operation? This would include the details of props reaching their low and hi pitch limit stops and correct RPM indications with throttle/prop lever movements at those times. Hello, it's me again. Recently I have issues with FSX fps, I'm getting like 9 fps in ImagineSim KATL, the GPU (intel hd 620) is actually sleeping (20% usage) also cpu (i5-7200U 3.1GHz, 40-60 usage). In the most payware addon scenery I'm gettin like 15 fps or more and it's pretty flyable, (I should get above 20 cuz I exceed minimum sys req), I use dx10 fixer which increased performance a bit (few fps). I use FlyTampa, T2G, All ORBX sceneries (OpenLC, Vector and Global) I don't like the low usage, cpu0 is intense used, cpu 1 2 3 are idle. All other games are actually eating my iGPU (ex. Assassin's Creed III, 99% gpu use, 40-100% cpu use, getting like 30-60 fp…

Is there anything available which makes the standard FSX-SE scenery colour more naturalistic? I have some scenery 'add-ons', but mostly for airports. I just 'flew' from East Midlands and Bristol (both HD add-ons) but the winter scenery between the two was like flying over a desert - not remotely like England (even in summer). Andrew

Quick question: in FSX:SE, if you exceed the vertical speed specified in aircraft.cfg for a contact point for landing gear, the gear fails. Presumably the plane then comes into contact with the contact points for "scrape" points after that. One assumes if the vertical speed of THESE points are exceeded, you "crash." Is it also common for the plane to suddenly have no support in a given area, however? When I fly IFR in VATSIM, ATC gives me a departure procedure to fly which I haven't put in to my flight plan. My question is, how do I alter my flight plan from the GPS? I want to add extra VORs into my flight plan without restarting my flight and doing it directly from my GPS. Thanks.

Hello All, I am using FS Flight Keeper as an digital logbook ( so i am not using acars etc ). I have some "problems " with some addon`s like the Cerasim As365, M2M mirage 2000. FS flightkeeper don`t recognize the external lights. So at the end of a flight i got a bad flight critique due to the lights ( however i did switched them on ). I read on a forum and in the manual that you have to add the aircraft cfg. However, in the aircraft.cfg i cant find the Flightkeeper text. Also not with the addon`s what are working correctly. Hello everyone, Recently I have some lighting problems with Aerosoft CRJ 900, the nav and beacon lights illuminate some unusual white and some other mixed colors squares on ground. I realized that after the second flight with this a/c, in the first flight I didn't notice that (maybe cuz it was day). I have to mention that I never had problems with any aerosoft product, and at the first flight the plane was looking normal. I didn't change any setting tho, I just saw that today (some night flying) What could cause that to happen?

I'm considering returning to Flight Simming after a long time away. My most current sim is FSX (Steam Edition). I'm interested in a simple to learn, uncomplicated flight sim with excellent graphics, because I like to just relax and cruise overhead and enjoy the scenery. So, I'm wondering which current sim you might recommend for someone like me? And while I'm at it, I'll need a decent, simple controller. A simple joystick would probably suffice. Recently have new computer 10700kf, 1tb M.2 DVMe SSD, 1TB 7200RPM, 32gb 3400 memory, 3080, 1000 watts power, Windows 10\home and want to get back into FSX. Unfortunately having problems., installing fsx gold edition with acceleration. My other computer until it crashed had no problems installing the sim also on Windows 10 I have the 3 cds and trying to install it with an external optical drive. I put the first cd in, and I know u should not install in program files, or x86 programs, I click on bottom and select c\\fsx, the install shield wizard comes up. I am trying to install the Gold Edition of the original FSX. I did search and found a link to a utility that can fix this. But since Windows 10 updates so frequently, I wanted to confirm this would work. Hello everyone, it's my first post here sry if I picked up wrong forum. I have a problem with Taxi2Gate LFPG and KSEA secenery, all aircraft (default/payware) are actually „moving” under the runway or taxiway. Other sceneries are working fine no problems, only t2G sceneries gives me headaches. All AI trafic is also under the texture. I don't know what to do, reinstalled both of them 10 times, still no luck. I'm also using all ORBX addons, vector, global, open LCs. FSX SP2

Hi I'm looking for a realistic Boeing aircraft 767 , 737, or 757 for FSXSE. I was disappointed with the Quality wings 757 (there is a glitch with the panel display). I used to run the great Level D 767, but I understand it's not compatible. I'm looking for systems fidelity like a realistic FMC' options for cold and dark states, etc. Any ideas? Hi, I have a problem with FSXWX, or I think it is the problem. I am running Windows 8 and FSX acceleration. recently FSX stops working and goes mack to the "free flight" page. this is usually after about an hour or so. I am also running Worldwide Virtual Acars at the same time and PMDG aircraft. this started after using updating to the new version of FSXWX 1.6.3 which was mandatory as the earlier versions wont work with their new server "apparently". the version 1.6.3 worked for a while but now these issues. Greetings everyone. I am a new GSX Level 2 user. I love that add-on, but using my VAS monitor, I can see it takes out quite a bit of available memory for the 32-bit FSX simulator. Do experienced FSX + GSX users have any tricks to using GSX for the boarding and deboarding phases of one flight session without crashing the simulator? I notice that most of the time after I land and taxi out of the runway I need to add "save the flight" to my post-landing checklist. Hi Guys hope you are well. I am currently using the Carenado Beechcraft B1900D in my video series and as this is drawing to a close I am looking for bigger aircraft for the 2nd series (European destinations). I have both the Carenado Saab340 and the QW146 collection in my hangar though have not really flown them much. Hello everyone i am thinking to merge the ASa320 cockpit to the a350 in fsx. The thing is that the a320[aerosoft] keeps crashing. The pc closes down after a few minutes when i start the a320. So if i merge the cockpit only with the freeware a350 model will it keep crashing or the Ram used by the plane will be less?
