Hello all, I run FSX SP2 with the acceleration pack. I just encountered this problem the other day and can't seem to fix it. It started when I installed KSGU addon scenery from avsim. It seems that is has messed up the default terrain height as it effected KABQ as well. With the default KABQ terrain covers runway and taxiways and with the Tropicalsim ABQ there is no runway or taxiway markings and the terminal sits lower than it should. Hi, I was wondering how I could add these 2 liveries to the British airways project airbus plane I downloaded from Simviation. Korean and Etihad. I downloaded it from here https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=a380+british+airways&x=0&y=0 and it is the last one. I tried to change the livery with qantas, it kind of worked. The livery was visible, but the cockpit was pitch black, except for the instruments. I want to be able to change the livery while keeping the a380 with it's vc. Any help would be appreciated.

In a related topic to my question regarding QualityWings FMCs possibly not importing or exporting flight plans in the FSX format, do the BBS Airbus FMCs exhibit the same behaviour? Knowing whether or not I can use my flight with the default ATC or have to ignore it would be useful, cheers! 🍻 I've not read the manual for RC4 yet so I don't know how that would play out, apart from having Mr. Proudfoot telling me off if I bust an altitude or speed limit or such!

I have FSX-SE which is mostly (but not always) stable. I have just posted about random CTD's on the appropriate forum page but once in a while, and especially recently, the FSX settings on my controllers (all Saitek) change without my knowledge or command. Yesterday I discovered the FSX-SE 'sensitivity' sliders for controllers had reset to 'default', and Scenery 'sensitivy' sliders had moved all the way to the right - i.e. 'maxed out'. Assignments on various 'Joystick' functions had changed from one controller to another (i.e. functions assigned to the Yoke had aslo appeared on the Saitek Rudder and Throttle Quadrant. Hi all, I posted this originally in the hardware section of the forums but I thought maybe this might get a little bit better View since I'm sure there are more people looking at FSX than Hardware Maybe. I'm considering buying a solid state drive and installing FSX on it. Am I correct in thinking that a flightplan created within the FMC in real time (my specific example - QW BAe 146-100 inputting a trip from Liverpool to Galway), is not compatible with FSX default ATC? Barring my failure at somehow not getting the arrival airport to be recognised, the 146's HSI gave me the correct steer-to commands for the other waypoints, so that aspect seems to be fine. When I tuned to ground they were expecting me to ask for a VFR departure... Whilst I believe I saved the flightplan, I think it's saved internally to the FMC and not in a location where it can be loaded via the stock FSX flight planner, so after taking off I couldn't then create…

Dear fellow Simmers, right now I'm trying to vizualise self created flight data within the FSX. Read I'm generating arbitrary or real life flight data for replaying it from within the FSX. Sadly the *.frc files(saved with FSRecorder 1.3) just show some ghibberish when opened in notepad++ or something similar. Has anyone got a clue in what format fsrecorder-files are generated/accessible? Help would be much appreciated and thanks in advance!

I am trying out the demo mode for these planes.So far so good IMHO. I had to use Ctrl-E to fire up the engines, but hey, I didn't dive into the tutorial, just got the products installed saw that the sim is OK with them. This beta installed and the sim fired up without a hitch..so far.. Took off from Dubai so as not to stress my rig out with full photoreal and EGCC, managed to get to grips with the autopilot and autothrottle - weird throttle detent noises which I believe is true to the real thing - put the throttles into the autothrottle zone and let it do it's job. Here's the scenario.. I got a freeware f-14 tomcat from flyawaysimulation.. Its typical freeware but not bad honestly for what it is. I have fsx. Anyway, I have the fsx realism setting set to realistic as usual, the label it as "hard". Im flying this new aircraft and i attempt to hold an inverted level flight doing right at 200 tas.. Wings are fully extended on the f-14. 5 seconds after holding the inverted position fsx says oops your'e dead, "aircraft overstressed". Do you guys think this is a realistic simulation given that particular aircraft and scenario? It never happens with that default f-18 that fsx comes with in the original program. I have a problem resuming a saved flight. Sometimes it's required to load a saved flight twice for normal operation of the aircraft or when using Pro ATC-X. What I do: Load FSX free flight screen, choose Trike Ultralight, hit "Load" button, choose a saved flight, hit "Fly now". First step perfect. But the second time freezes FSX, it not responding anymore. Any suggestions? Where to investigate?

I purchased Florida COMPLETE state photo real from realworldscenery.com.I downloaded and installed it.I started flying and it looked great. Then I got to central Florida and no photo scenery. I checked the scenery files and noted that the main central florida scenery file did not extract. I tried again and again, same result. It started when I removed EZdok 3 and instead used //42 ChasePlane. Track IR was not functional anymore. First time it worked after verify files in the steam client which updated a lot of files. But then the problem occurred again. Occasionally track ir can work after starting FSXSE. It seem to be a random process. Last time when I tried to start FSXSE there was a lot of messages about something being installed (even mentioning about first time installation ??). Earlier when this happened track ir was functional once but not this time. I have tried reinstalling simconnect but this does not solve the problem. What can be going on here. Steam edition has worked "just fine" - at least no game issues in general. Today after launching FSX icon as usual Steam client wants to start install procedure again. Well, I have modified sceneries too much I would like to reset the game. I can start the game by executing fsx.exe just fine but then I need manually to launch steam agent before that. This must be a generic issue - I just didn't find right search phrases to find an answer. Axel.

I am currently in the process of trying to do a flight from Los Angeles-Tahiti on Thomas Ruth's A340-300, and just yesterday discovered that I couldn't get the autopilot to maintain my selected airspeed of 280 knots. When the Speed Hold switch is engaged, my airspeed doesn't increase or slowly begins to decrease. I don't know what could be causing this issue, and I tried reducing some of the aircraft's payload, thinking that was the problem, but no such luck. Hello, I have been flight simming for several years and have a heavily modded fs2002 on an older computer but bought a new laptop and was given a copy of FSX so figured I would install and use it. Couple of questions: 1)when I go into free flight mode and try and throttle up for takeoff the engines aren't throttling up(I look at the main display and the lines go to max throttle but then come right back to idle) same thing if I am in a prop plane If i hit the F4 button for max throttle the lever will move to max throttle then back down to idle almost immediately. When I try and do it incrementally it also fights me trying to go back down. Any help? …

The SSW F104 Italian Air force and German Luftwaffe versions are available on Just Flight for about £9. Is either of them worth buying for what appears to be a "study-level" manned missile? Is one better than the other - are there differences system-wise or cockpit-wise between the two versions? I've always liked the looks of the Starfighter and like the Sim Works Phantom I might enjoy tooling around in it for laughs (can't use it as a weapons platform in FSX without an add-on of some kind). I am currently setting up my Saitek/ Logitech pro flight yoke for operations with the Pilotedge software. I have selected my E-Button (the red button on the upper left side of the yoke, in front of the hat switch) for ATC communication. For the aviators on this forum currently using this setup -- I was wondering about a couple of things. First of all, once the button is pressed, will I be required to push the button once when I speak, and push it again after I am finished talking. Or will I be able to hold the button down during the entire length of my pilot communication and release it when I'm finished speaking--like in a real cockpit? I was trying to sort this out…

I have the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended and enjoy flying it. Other than it though, I only have the default FSX:SE twin props and a Piper Aztec I got as a freebie with FSX, which TBH is quite terrible. My $ comfort zone is in the vicinity of what the Milviz add-ons cost. I say STOL, because I mostly fly in the Pac NW with Orbx and RTMM scenery, where a good number of airfields are short. Non-STOL that don't have long take-off requirements would work too. If anyone could recommend some twin props, it'd be much appreciated.

My problem is with FSX Steam which loads up fine but when I print my Nav page it goes off. I then press the icon in the task bar which tells me that"FSX is alresdy running, where is it likely to be hiding and how do I get it back on screen?? please Kind Regards Mike

Hey everyone hope all of you are safe and sound, recently i have been drifting from fsx and started to explore x-plane 11 and i have been using the trial version bc im still thinking of switching from fsx to x plane, but i still use fsx because i have such a great bond with it. however when i haven't used fsx in months or for a long hiatus, and im loading my flight and loaded into the map and im going full thrust down the runway, my plane goes or veers to the left. I have had this problem before when i didnt use fsx for two years. any ideas? tips?
