In April, I bought and downloaded to my HDD a copy of FSX-SE. I ran it and installed a few updates including Orbx. Orbx Central identified FSX-SE on my PC. Now, when I try to run fsx.exe from the folder, I get an FSX Splash Screen, then an error message about Object Flow, then a message that Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working. When I checked my Steam library, it told me when I had last run the program but there was also a large green button, asking me to INSTALL. This I did. I did not get an option where to install and it used my smallish SSD on C: (I had reserved it for the OS only). Now it is a mess! On the upside, I can run FSX-SE when…

I’ve recently upgraded and reformatted my PC but in doing so I’ve lost my Spitfire IX and XIV repaint kit templates. Realair are in suspended animation and although the aircraft is available the repaint kit isn’t. Is anyone able to send me either or both please?

Randomly when I'm flying I will lose my ability to click on knobs/switches in the VC. I can move my seat to change my view around the cockpit and zoom in and out since I don't have trackIR. I did notice that occasionally the mouse cursor would "flutter" between a clicking finger and a pointer sometimes. Once or twice I was able to get it back into a clickable mode, but it went right back after a few moments. I also noticed that using the ATC window seemed to exacerbate the issue. Also this only seems to be occuring when the plane is IN FLIGHT .....on the ground it works fine! Currently I'm flying the RealAir Turbine Duke, but this happens with all my planes, stoc…

AP was tracking GPS via my flight plan route, and twice ATC vectored me.. Typically in the real world you would be vectored for traffic, weather, etc I don’t recall if this was a known bug?? Thanks!!

Hi I am just reinstalling FSX on W10 and trying to install a program I have used before; FSX Save V1.05 It says it can't install because FSX isn't FSX SP2 and wont continue. (I have also tried running MSI as admin!) But I have FSX acceleration including SP2 installed and I have enabled Netframework 2.0 in win 10 So I don't understand why this program will not install. Anyone any ideas? Is there a new version or equivalent program to auto-save while flying? I do have unregistered FSUIPC installed. I have heard registered has an autosave, Any recommendations for this function? Thoughts and walk thrus appreciated. Rob

Hello everyone. I´ve just ordered a 1 TB SATA III SSD drive, to use for storage instead of the 256 GB SATA III SSD I currently have. However, my other SSD (the one with Windows and FSX) is almost full. So, my idea is to move FSX-SE from C:\ (the M2 SSD) to D:\ (the SATA III one), and have FS9 and some addons (FSBuild, PF3, PSXSeecon Traffic, etc) moved to C. They shouldn´t take as many space as FSX (135 GB). I understand all my payware addons may need to be reinstalled, but is it there a way to move everything else seamlessly? Or it´s simply better to reinstall from scratch?

For some reason I no longer hear the morse code audio identifying my VOR stations. All communications and displays work fine. I also hear the approach marker signals fine. This is true of all aircraft and locations. No biggie but I do wonder why. Any ideas? Thanks: RTH

Hi, So earlier today I was flying from KSFO to KLAX and I saw that there was a very small area where the textures are crystal clear and beyond that they are a lower resolution. Any CFG edits or some tweaks that can safely help fix this? this is the link to a screenshot. (If you look closely at the ground textures you can see the point where the textures decrease in resolution.) I am using an acer aspire m5 from 2014. CPU:Intel core i5 4210U @ 1.7 ghz (4 threads) (Boost 2.4) The GPU is the integrated graphics that are available with this cpu. I haven't been able to find anyone who has quite the same problem as me.

I bought gsx level 2 a few weeks ago and it was working perfectly fine until this morning while i was flying my sim crashed and i got this error message "Another SODE process is still running in the background". I have tried many ways to fix it through forums but i am not able. Help would be appreciated! Thanks

Hi guys, I just bought the Feel There ERJ175 and ERJ195 for FSX. I was trying to set up some liveries, taken by the AVSIM Library and by iniBuilds. Both the "read me" says that I'm suppose to put the folder with the texture I want in the folder of the 175 or the 195 (basing by what airplane livery you're trying to set in) and then I should modify the aircraft.cfg by adding whatever is written in the read me. Well, I did all of this but it doesn't work at all, I can't set any livery. Does anybody know how to help me? Thanks!

I have downloaded this freeware to convert an airport I made for FS9. Here's the problem: When I disassemble the AFCAD using newbglasnalyse I get a .txt file instead of an .xml. Is anyone familiar with this program, and could you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

I'm a big fan of bush piloting with seaplanes and amphibs, but I'm almost always taking off and landing on a stretch of water with nothing around. I found a fan-made seaplane base addon for British Columbia Canada which adds docks to to about 40 aerodromes, but I haven't been able to find much else. So...I'm wondering if there's other fan-made collections of seaplane bases that add docks for other parts of the world - especially Alaska and Washington state.

HI Folks; Just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing issues with new Qualitywings 787 Load Agent feature, specifically the fuel loading. For me It loads the payload ok (based on historic airline information) but it does not calculate the fuel as it should, as per the video and manual. It just leaves what's just there I have been in contact with support but they are still trying to figure out what's going on and puzzled why it isn't. I think I saw something awhile ago about it being an issue and no longer working after an upgrade but didn't take note since I wasn't using the product then. I have tried everything possible but nothing, not sure if it's FSX…

Hi, in the last few months I have started to experience blurry ground textures when flying into most airports, this didn't use to be a problem until I installed rex 4 textures direct, I have played around with the settings and fsx cfg but no improvement, I am using FSX:SE with addons like Aerosoft A320, PMDG NGX and others and using asn as a weather enngine, I also use UK2000 scenerys. My specs are AMD A8 9600 3.4GHZ, Nvidia GT1030 2GB, 16GB 2400MHZ, 1TB HDD. I know my specs aren't brilliant but I play at quite low settings and at a frame rate I am happy with - average about 16-20, anybody have any ideas?

Hey all, I just signed up after finding this forum doing research to figure out why I cannot get my latest plane to activate with my key. I've never had a problem buying planes and activating them on my computer to fly them in FSX, until last night with First Flight C152. When I get to the "activate product" part of the installation, I get script errors relating back to firstflight dot com. Whether I click 'yes' or 'no' to allowing them to run, the result is always the same. I paste the product key into the window and hit 'activate", but nothing happens. Hello, First post, long time lurker. I use SweetFX as a post-processing shader to make FSX look way more vivid than default. Only problem is, you must turn off ingame anti-aliasing to let SweetFX run. I can't seem to get the SweetFX (or Nvidia Inspector) antialiasing working at all. I tried using the given SMAA dll's that SweetFX told to use, but no such luck. Any idea how to get anti-aliasing working with SweetFX? Much appreciated.

OK, so this is a pretty specific question. I'm planning on migrating my FSX rig from my old desktop PC to my 2020 MacBook Pro (i5, built-in Iris Plus Graphics), via Parallels Desktop. Now I'm wondering if there is any way to run FSX in multiple windows, such that I can have the cockpit or gauges on its own monitor? The monitor would actually be my iPad, hooked up through Sidecar, but that detail shouldn't make a difference. So yeah, can an FSX simulation span more than one window such that this could work? Is anyone happy with TG? I have the latest version and there is simply no traffic movement. I sit at the gate at DEN at 0830 on a Friday, for well over a 45 min, with the sim running at 4x speed. Maybe 2 AI planes request taxi and 3 planes take off or land. I have the traffic slider at 99%. Nearly every gate is occupied. No UA or SW or DL or AA airplanes left and only 1 UA arrived. The program just flat doesn't do anything except populate gates.????? Bruce

Hello there, I have a registered version of FSUIPC installed, so I use it for control bindings for all my PMDG aircraft. Since a new update was installed into my computer the Addons Tab during the game-play opens but doesn't let me open up any addons like FSUIPC but only lets me open RAAS professional. Hi guys, I am unable to enter final approach using Thomas Ruth freeware A300-600. When vector to final is enabled on garmin, the plane completely overshoots the line on the ILS beams. I have tried several methods, but absolutely no luck. The selector for switching between GPS, NAV and ILS does not function on 3D panel, nor 2D panel. When I click the switch on 2D panel to select ILS, the switch reverts back to center position. Is this maybe the cause?...Any input will be greatly appreciated. thank you all

I haven't played FSX in a long time. I remember that I had switched from steam to deluxe version because a crucial addon for me no longer worked on FSX Steam with the updates from that time. Simconnect problems as far as I knew. This addon is FS Recorder v1.331. I plan to go back to playing FSX, but I'm not sure if with the recent updates, this addon has returned to work on FSX Steam. Could anyone tell me if it works? If anyone wants to try to see if it works, this website has the download link and instructions to install. I've been flying FSX for more than a few years, and overtime some airfields have passed into history. This became a problem for me when I tried to add in Old Wardon airfield to FSX, Old Wardon is home to the historic Shuttleworth collection - well worth visiting. The problem is that the airfield has the ICAO code of EGTH, the same as the former Hatfield aerodrome. Hatfield still exists in FSX world (with the code EGTH), but it has disappeared from the real world. I can change Hatfield's ICAO code to something else using Airport Design Editor, and I can delete all its runways etc, but its still there in FSX.
