I have MFS 2002 and now MFS X installed. In 2002 I can select a view from directly behind the aircraft in order to fly with a full view ahead. With X I can only get side views plus a view from the cockpit. Is there some way to get a "behind" view with X. (I had a PPL for over 20 years with 720 flying hours when I was younger by the way!)

How do you get FSX:SE to bypass the "HOME" screen and start in the "FREE FLIGHT" screen? Bob Macklin Seattle, Wa

Hi i just can not seem to get an answer to this query at all from the huge world of aviation sim fans. I play with FSX. The ATC in FSX does not issue holding patterns or ever tell you to enter one. Does anyone here use an ATC Addon that actually issues the pilot to enter a Holding pattern. I have spent 4 weeks learning about holding patterns and holding pattern entrys and now im ready to fly the sim i dont want to loose this. I want to practise it more! ATC addons i know of below. Hi guys, just wondering if any of you are getting this (ERROR LOADING GPS_ENGINE. THE FLIGHT PLAN WILL NOT BE USED.) Now i've been getting this messgae for over a month now on and off. Hi. I am trying to replicate the 747-400 departure from 27R at Heathrow as featured in the ITVV DVD. I have the SID chart for EGLL but am confused with one thing, I follow the Midhurst NDB R357 from the Burnham NDB but this takes me slightly to the left of the Wobun intersection. Should this track take me straight to the Wobun intersection (dead centre). I am using FSX and this is the way I do it. ADF tuned to 421, Nav1 tuned to Midhurst NDB 114.00 and course set to 357 degrees. Nav2 set to LON 113.60 I take off and follow runway heading for 4 miles DME from LON and then turn right and follow the ADF towards Burnham NDB. At 7 miles DME LON I press the NAV button on …

I just reinstalled one of my favorite of RealAir's planes the Turbine Duke V2 I remember when I bought those Dukes I am having a problem with the autopilot though it's not letting me select the altitude to put in the altitude. I got it working can't wait to fly this plane to 3000 hours this year

Hello, I recently purchased the VirtualCol Do328 from SimMarket ("purchased" as part of a free promotional), and I cannot figure out how to land using the ILS system with it. I tune NAV1 to the corresponding frequency, but how do I change the gauges to get the right one to see the glideslope and other indicators? I"m also having a problem with takeoff procedures, and making sure my plane gets in the air (do I have too much flaps or not enough, etc.). THanks for your thoughts and help!

Hi, Till yesterday, all was fine but today when I installed a freeware airport which came with a .exe file to install it, the fsx got stuck on loading screen. Please help me.

Recently I have been having serious problems with most of my aircraft. Essentially when loaded the cockpit, in the majority of cases, have large sections missing. Mostly this is the non electronic/working part of the cockpit. The instruments hang in place with nothing to support them and the ground can be seen between the gaps. In some case the main panel with the flying instruments, etc is ok but there is nothing at the sides. I have contacted the aircraft manufacturer who supplied most of my current aircraft, about this but so far they don't seem to come up with a solution. I am certain this has been answered a million times already. I am just looking for a simple yes or no type answer or some direct link to an answer. I am one of those who hung onto FS9 and now with a better WIN10 64 system I have FSX. I do not have a powerful enough computer to fly P3--- or XP---- just FSX The question is, WILL P3D sceneries and aircraft run in FSX? I only ask because I have seen some sceneries and aircraft displayed as able to run in both, and then some that do not say both. I've been meaning to ask about a slight "feature" regarding the brightness controls for the MFDs in the VC. It shall remain a feature I guess.. The gear doors refers to the fact that the main doors and one nose gear door don't cycle when you retract the gear. I believe the animations worked fine in the original V2.0.

Hi I have a problem with my GTN750 version 2.16 I cant put a frecuency in com1 stanby because it changes in less than one second to 128.250 if I use the default radio in any FSX airplane, I can put the correct frecuency in com1 as stanby or as an active but If I use the GTN750 the frecuency changes immediately to 128.250 my gtn750 is the complete version , this is happening with the version 2.16, version 2.15 was perfect.

Hi there, I hoped it is just a very odd issue, that FSX-SE won't start in full screen mode after EZCA 2 launches, but I had to realize it is true. Ather that I found a line in FSX.cfg under the [MAIN] tab, calls "Maximized=" and I set it's value to 2. EZCA or FSX always writes this value back to "1". My FSX starts in an ugly small window every time. I have no luck, and yes full screen is feezing when I hit shift+D (show EZCA window). Other problem, I found the HAT switch movement laggy (slow) and I decided to turn it off back to basic FSX settings and I failed, totally impossible.

Hi, I have a question for anyone familiar with addon scenery in FSX. I have REX Essentials (for airport ground textures, aprons, runways, water and sky/clouds/weather) and Orbx FTX Global, Vector, Open LC and a slew of addon Orbx regions and airports. Recently I have downloaded a few freeware scenery packs (KCRS, ME55 by falcon409 over at SimOuthouse), both of which are grass airstrips. Upon download and install in my FSX, I notice no grass strips present but a carefully placed asphalt runway with no markings lying on top of the area where the grass strip(s) would normally be. The scenery creator insists I must have some duplicate airport entries for these …

Hello, I have following problem with FsRaas V2: When I approach a runway it just say "Approaching runway" and not "Approaching runway 27L" or "Approaching runway 07R" etc. Any ideas why?

For some reason this issue almost exclusively occurs at Biggin Hill airport in any aircraft. The window just stops responding, I can’t click anything or minimise it but FSX never crashes. I have the uiautomation dll, as well as have tried updating drivers, reloading my Logbook.bin, and running in different compatibility modes. Any ideas? I recently purchased F104 Skunk software for FSX and tried to turn on the F104's engine after connecting the EPU. The engine starts regularly but the knob to set "ALIGN", located in the console on the left, doesn't move so I can't set "INS". Would anyone give me a valuable suggestion? Many Thanks. Lorenzo
