So i was playing fsx and when i play fsx i usually do my landings from the virtual cockpit POV then reply on fs recording and see it from an outside POV, instead of showing my 747 it showed my propeller aircraft! im so confused?

I remember there was a way to open a second window with [ key, drag it to a second monitor, and create a wide screen view from in the cockpit. You had to adjust the second window and line up the cockpit, which wasn't easy, but then you somehow sync the windows. So when you went back to view one and rotated the view, the second window would move at the same time in a coordinated way. I know this has been discussed ages ago, but I forget how to do it and a preliminary search didn't give any results. Does any know how to do this? Thanks

I just downloaded the beta program for FSX SE and when ever I load in a flight it immediately crashes. What should I do?

Hello, I have FSX, and I recently download FLAI multiple times but every time I fly on VATSIM the aircrafts are invisible and I can only see their tires and Nav lights. Please can someone help. Kareem

I haven't used FSX in about a year but booting it up today gives me a really awful global ground texture issue. I've made sure all my addon scenery is up to date and checked disabling them in my scenery library to no avail. Any ideas? https://i.redd.it/2pkzbs2td3p41.png

Suddenly have lost all tool tips in FSX. Have tried the full-screen ctrl/shift (if that's the right combo to toggle full screen). And have Display Tool Tips checked with Settings. Using Win 7 BTW. Yes, can do just fine without them in my usual aircraft (A2A Comanche) but they come in handy with other aircraft (Alabeo Chieftain, Carenado Cheyenne III etc) as I transition. Dunno what key I may have tweaked to lose the tips. Any suggestions? Archive1

I used to these little info popup whenever I pointed my mouth to a knob, for example if I pointed to heading knob and if I turned the knob these little info popup would show me the heading as I turned the know or altitude knob would show me the altitude but it stopped doing it and I don't know how to get that back. Can anyone help me to put this back, I find it very useful.

I have purchased the Piper PA46 Meridian from Carenado. I want to get the checklist on the knee board and have not figured out the procedure to insert the info. I also have other aircraft add-ons that I want to do the same thing. Sure would appreciate any help on resolving this. Thanks Lewis Block

Hi i have just downloaded from my Steam FSX steam edition. I have tried to load my add ons but they are asking me to first load service pack 1. Everytime i try to install sp1 i get the follwing message....THIS PACK REQUIRES THE ORIGINAL RELEASE OF FLIGHT SIMUATOR X PLEASE INSTALL FLIGHT SIMULATOR X AND THEN START SP1 INSTALLATION AGAIN. Please can you help?

Hello everyone. I have been using FS Panel Studio to edit one of my thrid-party aircraft's 2D panel to make it more similar to the aircraft I fly in real life (Piper PA-28-140). However, none of my installed aircraft seem to have a fuel pressure gauge that is small, rectangular, has 1/2, 5, and 8 PSI in green, and 10 maximum. Does anyone know a FSX aircraft that has such a 2D gauge, or such a gauge itself? Thank you in advance for any assistance!

I downloaded the Yellowknife scenery and photo real addon by Mark Beale, Shane Strong, Berwyn Goudey and I can't get the main scenery to install correctly. I ran both installers and added the photo scenery to my library with no issue but when I try to add the airport itself FSX-SE doesn't find what it is looking for in the folder. I've been out of FS for a while so this is likely user error but I would appreciate a hand. Thanks

I just installed MHRO generous free gift from SimMarket. Unfortunately I am having elevation problems, the terminal building is sunken and some aircraft are floating along with some canyons. I have tried disabling ORBX vector but no change. Also tried running the ORBX elevation correction tool but no change. Cannot configure manually because MRHO is not in the Vector list. Any ideas appreciated./ Bob Palmer

Hi Everyone. For some years I flew FSX Steam edition with the B737 PMDG which I use to prepare for my sim at the airline I work. However I need to buy these again. I'm used to old school CD's.I was using Xplane 11 and Zibo Mod for a few days, but just too many hassles for me and still some bugs on that. I'm not to clued up on installation tweaks etc. So It's back to MFS and PMDG. Loading saved flights are giving me hassles with the Zibo Mod. Is this option still available please? Can I download everything from the WEB? I did some research, but not getting clear info. Please if anyone could assist me with info, as I lost plenty of time trying to sort the Zibo Mo…

Hi all, Hoping to get some help on an error when trying to install FSUIPC4 with FSX Steam. Let me know if this is even possible as it may not be. During install I get two error prompts - 1. FSUIPC4 window and 2. Windows popup error. Does this mean it isn't compatible with FSX Steam? ---o UPDATE I did not go through all of my simconnect install files. I didn't realize I needed to install from all three folders in the FSX Steam SDK folder. However, when starting FSX Steam I get an error indicating a problem with the install dll. When I select Yes to run... FSX Steam crashes. Any help? Thanks, TJ

Hey guys, I’m brand new to the community and Im still learning my ways here. My computer had a little stumble and I had to uninstall and reinstall FSX-SE. I’m having issues with the auto installer since it doesn’t remember the path to save the planes. I know I go to disk C, Program files (X86), steam, steammapps, common, fsx. Right? Do I stop there or do I need to continue on to SimObjects, airplanes and then save it there? Thanks! Yariel

Hi, I’ve been experiencing for longer time issues with gps engine failure. What basically happens is that once I start the simulation it’s ok until I start the engines. The GPS panel remains stucked, so I can’t use GPS. It happend when I was using A320, but I tried different aircrafts and result was same. Has anybody dealt with this problem as well? After creating a flight plan the autopilot does not turn to 1st waypoint or continue to follow plan Is the VOR ident recognized from the the flight plan . Do we have to enter headings to each way point. what am l doing wrong?

I have gsx and it works perfectly at nearly every plane. There is just a problem with the Pmdg 777-200 and-300 but not the -F. If I am at a stand and I am trying to operate the stairs nothing happens. Because the stairs are invisible. They are there but just invisible. I have no idea what to do. I sent a request for the Fsdreamteam forum but I dont know how long this will take so I hope we can fix this here. And yes all updates are installed.

I recently had to re-install FSX. After the re-install of the base FSX (not SP1 or SP2) in its basic installation configuration except for graphics setting to 32 bit, 2560x1440 resolution, and running the introductory free flight with the ultralight model, I am running only at 20 FPS and very sluggishly in a windowed mode. When I switch to full screen (Alt-Enter), everything stops. Not only FSX, but I cannot access other programs from Start menu. I can only shutdown the computer and re-start it. I have attempted several remove/re-installs with no success. Same issues. Any thoughts as to what might be causing this? Thanks, Rich Boll

Hello. Sorry if im posting this in the wrong place but i need help. I've connected to vatsim a couple of times but the flai moelmatching didn't work. I sellected the FSX folder in steam steamapps and common and updated and added the vmr file in v pilot. That didn't work because thats why im here. I tried with WOAI by installing an easy jet package and using the vmr generator. Well that also didn't work and it should since i was at EGKK and there were easyjets flying nearby. If someone can help me please do, If there is a custom ruleset that would make v pilot use the actual flyable models for model matching that would work because i have a lot of them. Hope to he…

Today, I had reinstall FSX. I thought that I had deleted all the earlier FSX software, but I may have missed some items related to FSX on the uninstall process before deleting FSX. I have tried several times to re-install FSX but to no avail. After re-install, I start FSX, the screen goes black, that opening music plays and continues to play, but nothing happens. FSX starts in full screen mode, not windowed mode. I can use the keyboard "Windows" key to display the taskbar, and can mouse over other open programs that are open. I can try to open Task Manager, but nothing happens. I can get to the Windows menu and either shutdown or restart windows. After the re-…
