Good morning, the question I'm asking has probably been dealt already but I did not find answers during my search. I may buy FSX-SE but my problem is to know precisely if my MS FSX addons i.e. planes and scenery especially those I paid for will be recognized and compatible by the new version? Hello Can anybody tell me if there is a replacement for SimTouch Plus I've just had a re-build and it will not recognize my new m/c's number it went free in 2018 but now is no longer available what it did was enable you to transfer your MFD & PFD gauges to another screen including PMDG & Aerosoft Jets Regards Roy

Hello, id like to know if anyone else has suggestions on dealing with another issue I have: after longer flights, usually before or during approach, my FSX has a tendency to either hang for 1-3 minutes, or become completely unresponsive. I can still hear the sound and switch to the task manager, but I cannot access any menus and the only solution is to kill FSX in the TM. CPU usage is shown at 100% on the cores I assigned FSX to (3-8) also VAS is not reaching any limits, but even if I wait there is nothing happening anymore. Hello again, Here I am with another problem. As all of you know by now I have recently begun playing with my FSX game after a long layoff and as I have been paying much more attention to detail this time around I have uncovered an inaccuracy that needs addressing. The aircraft in question is my Vertigo F6F Hellcat. Previously I flew the aircraft just kind of messing around with it but now I am trying to fly it accurately with my Grumman F6F-3/5 Pilot's Flight Manual. Sorry for the vague title, but I'm asking a couple of questions about the Islander totally unrelated to each other When you turn the fuel cocks on, they point inward towards each other. In some videos of real BN-2s the fuel cocks point forwards. I know there are different cockpit setups, but would this not be standard? The other question is paint related - the colours sometimes seem a little washed out. A specific example is the FIGAS paint job (freeware), the red and blue seem much more vibrant when looking at the real aircraft. Hello, I am hoping someone can help me with a long standing problem. FSX has, to me, a very annoying feature in that when the game loads and you select an aircraft and click Fly Now, the plane always appears on the screen with the engine running. I am a pilot in real life (retired airline captain with some SNJ time) so I want my virtual flying to be as realistic as possible. This means getting into an aircraft in a cold and dark state and doing the engine start and runup myself. To date I have not found a way to do this. I received a Logitech Radio Panel and Multi Panel this Christmas and have been unable to make either work yet. Thanks to some help on another Avsim forum we have deduced that the reason is the Logitech plug in required to make the Panels work, will not work because I don't have a simconnect.dll in my computer. I have tried to download these (apparently there are three) and none will load. Hey, so im currently thinking about getting fsx and i have a few questions. Is it still worth buying? Will it run good on my machine? Gtx 1060 3gb Vram i7 and 8gb of RAM. I recently re-installed FSX on a new computer with Windows 10 64bit. Although it took several more hours than my previous install 2 1/2 yrs ago on a computer with Win7, it seemed to go reasonably well. However, I did have an issue that never happened to me before this. The install never gave me any prompt to enter my Product ID #'s. Also, it did not allow me to install the Acceleration Pack (again due to not being able to enter the ID #'s). I was able to change the Settings and fly for a 1/2 hour demo, but I can't do anything anymore. I did get an Activation Error msg regarding a possible incomplete installation. Im about to start my flying lessons to get my PPL, and i would like to know in your opinion (talking about the Carenado C152 OR Just Flight C152), wich one its better, or wich one would you recommend me ? I´ve search in the forum but dont find anything. I read a review of the JF C152 but it was for X-PLANE, and im into FSX. I bought the carenado version , but dont realize there were another option in the market. Using FSX/Accel. I have installed the latest versions for this aircraft, including latest sound file by Doug Dawson. I am unable to turn on the Comm 2 radio due to not having any hotspots for either on/off or tuning. The Comm1 radio works fine. I've even tried various radio toggle sithces on left side of pilot seat. Does anyone else have this problem, and perhaps a fix? Thanks and Happy New Year.

Given that the native ai is a flyable model that has more detailed textures, requiring more processing power. I was wondering if I could substitute the models for, say the FAIB aircraft, or another model. Place it in a separate folder from the flyable aircraft, making a change to the cfg file, then modify the stock ai traffic BGL to utilise this model instead. And ..how about WOAI aircraft, I'm reading they are old FS9 aircraft that have high draw call issues that impact performance. Is this so?

I recently installed Linda 3.0 on my pc in order to be able to use more features of the aerosoft a320 through the buttons of my joystick and throttle quadrant(planning later on to build a command box with rotary encoders and other buttons) . The only problem is that it doesn't work. I have installed the Aerosoft Airbus A318/19/20/21 v1.31, FSUIPC 4.858 and linda 3.0.9. I downloaded from AVSIM the aerosoft airbus module 4.4 v3. I have been searching for scenery updates to the downtown Minneapolis area and have not been successful in finding any. I have found updates to the kmsp airport itself but no nearby scenery of the downtown area. Do people even develop add-on scenery for non airport areas? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi! From sometime ago, everytime I launch a flight in FSX, all my aircraft is initializing with all systems turned off (Master, radios, engine etc.) and no fuel. How do I setup it to initialize with the engine running and master power and radios turned on as default?

Hello, I hope I dont get swatted for asking that: I recently migrated my FSX installation to an SSD using Partition Wizard and now FSX asks me to reactivate. After 7 years with that installation I just dont have the booklet anymore. Are we really still required to take the re-activation dialogue so seriously that I need to buy another copy now in some virtual junkyard to be able to run FSX again?

Good morning, I’m thinking of editing the aircraft config file for the CS B732 Combi. Specifically I’m talking about the station load section under [weights and balance]. The CS aircraft utility called ACE allows you to add/remove passengers which will then be added to the config file (but only the passenger model). In the sim, you can add shipping containers to the combi and freighter models and the changes will be made to their respective config file. What is missing is the option to add both passenger stations (aft passenger compartment) and a couple shipping container stations (forward passenger compartment). Has anyone attempted this? I have been experiencing difficulty getting a custom .bmp file to fill my FullHD 1080 display. I have read and studied the MS SDK docs on this subject and have tried my best to understand the various parameters defined for use in the .cfg file but try as I may the first instrument panel which contains my custom .bmp never gets larger than about a half of the display area when using the 2D cockpit. I have created the .bmp as a 1024x756 72 dpi artwork, Also as 1920x1080 92dpi artwork which is more in the proportion of my 13x23.5 inch display size. For years I have hated the way the Milky Way is depicted in FSX. I finally decide that after a few recent night flights, that I need to completely get rid of the horrible looking Milky Way in FSX.Here's what you need to do if your interested in getting rid it also. For the example I used DXTBmp and GIMP. You might be able to do the same thing another way, just make sure you dont wreck the alpha channel.1.
