Hi there guys, I have two questions I would like to ask. I didn't find answers anywhere here. 1. My SSD 500Gig, is full and I cannot add much more. Already had to delete less important things to add other 'addons'. So I was thinking in transferring FSX to an external SSD and do the simulation from there. Will it be too slow and unplayable? Is it possible? 2. Is FSPilotShop dead? If so, how does a person retrieve info, if you have to re-install stuff and so on? Is there a way to do it? Thanks in advance. Hello Avsim Forum, since some time now i'm having big framerate issues in FSX-SE, which i was not able to fix , even though i did many hours of research. First thing was, i had around 0.5 FPS with the Aerosoft A320 family on a default airport(i usually have between 20-30 fps), after some tries to fix that problem (clear shader cache, change between DX9/DX10, deleting fsx.cfg and dll.xml) i came to the conclusion, the best option would be a fresh reinstall of FSX, which i did with the help of the DTG Manual. After one hour of installation, i tried again to start the same scenario without any fsx.cfg tweaks (i kept my old FSX-intern settings) and came out with …

Is it possible to get this working with Hoppie plus another version of software? I saw a post on a site dated as it was, that stated using the cpdlc client from https://www.dalpi.de/ to work with the aircraft but haven't tested it yet? Should I just drop the money on the new FSLabs A321?

I have never really had a problem like this before, and I am just wondering if there is a quick and easy Solution. I have been using FSX SE for a little over a year now. Just noticed after having a little problem with Flight Planner, that there was only one Mission in the Sim. And after doing a little Research, I decided to do a complete Clean Install. I deleted anything related to FSX SE, including Folders in the C:Drive. After installing Steam and FSX, same thing. I have read a few Post on this Issue but still haven't found a solution. Any help is Graetly Appreciated.

I would like to do some practice approaches in a B737 using Lord of the Landing. I can save the flights, but the iFly 737 doesn't maintain it's configuration when you load a saved flight. I've thought of using the default FSX B737, but not FMC, etc. Can anyone suggest, if there is one, a B737-700 or 800 that will retain its configuration if you reload a saved flight? Thanks, Ernie

I would like, if possible, to alter the information display text blocks on the top of the screen (accessed by shift-Z) to display the airspeed in MPH or KPH as well as or instead of KTS. I know that the parameters chosen for this display are determined by modifying the TextInfo data in the Controls section of the FSX.cfg but I am not sure how to change the units of speed in this display or indeed if that is even possible. The reason I want to do this is that a few of my aircraft have their airspeed indicators calibrated only in MPH (or KPH) and, in these aircraft, I would like the info display at the top to reflect this. Well, before the (bleep) Argentinean government imposes me a 30% tax on addons (I'll leave the rant for another thread, but the congress is discussing this tonight), I'm thinking about purchasing either the iFly 747-400 (plus the 8i) or the QW 787 (despite not liking the $10 increase). - iFly 747-400: I know it already because I have it for FS9. I had it also for FSX in my previous laptop, but had to return it because of bad FPS. Now that I have a better laptop, I can give it another chance. - QW 787: All I've read about this are some favorable reviews, but I'm still undecided. Which one do you recommend?

Hey, Anyone know a way to change certain aircraft from moving as soon as you take off the parking brake? The Wilco A319 Vol.1 for FSXSE is particularly bad, the thing just runs off as soon as brakes are released and you have to brake almost constantly to maintain 20knts

Never saw them before in all these years simulating. Should I be hearing the boom from them as well? Right now I hear nothing from them...onmly see them. Thanks

I had the sim running with an A2A Cherokee on the runway, checking the controls only to find out the ailerons were not working. I had unplugged them in favor of the Christmas Tree Lights. I plugged them in then lost the sim with a pop up that read; Problem with shortcut. The drive on the network connection that the shortcut ' Steam Client BootStrapper Ink ' refers to is unavailable. I can't image plugging the ailerons would cause this, but now the Sim won't start.

I just installed the new BETA branch from STEAM (so basicaly a fresh install of FSX:SE) but the SIM just won't launch. Anybody already encountered this issue? (I've already taken care of the things like launch with admin rights and AV exclusions)

Old, but is it still good, given the default FSX:SE Africa appearance? The reason I'm asking is that I recently bought FSDG Dakar which sticks out like a sore thumb on the existing landclass Scenery Tech's site hasn't been updated in years, but the product is still for sale in simulshop, Flight 1 etc.at a reasonable price. I therefore assume that I should purchase the product rather than even consider other options? I don't believe the product is abandonware yet, even if it is years old.. (I'm not advocating piracy by any means!!!) Thanks for your input.

Hello all I have always run fsx se with no problem for ages now but yesterday I decided to get orbex England I installed it with ease and started the sim but as I spawned at Gatwick I noticed these black spots on the roads and lights. i have tried everything from deleting all road lights to uninstalling orbex completely but nothing has worked I noticed other forums talked about dx10 or dx9 which I have never Installed before any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Josh

I bought this Just Flight add-on a couple of days ago, but I have a very odd problem with the runway edge lighting. When I am rolling along the runway, still at ground level I can see the runway edge lighting perfectly. But as soon as I am more than about 30 feet into the air, the runway lighting completely disappears. I will then never see it again until I am in the landing flare. The only other time I can see any lighting at all is (sometimes) if I am flying towards the lit runway at around 90 degrees. But 100% of the time, whenever I am lined up on either of the runway headings (10/28), i never see any lighting at all - not till I am either on the tarmac or just floati…

Good day, A friend of mine purchased the Diamond DA20-100 Katana on Steam. The fuel gage shows empty, but some sub-menu apparently shows 99% full. The engine won't start. As an experiment, the same person then bought the DA40, and that works normally. They have tried to uninstall/re-install the DA20 but that has not solved the problem. Any ideas? I have no idea what's going on here. Haven't been in the sim since initially setting it up again back in August after my new PC build. It worked fine then. Loaded it up today and it's literally unusable. I start a flight and it appears not to respond to any keyboard, mouse, or joystick controls except P for pause will pause the sound and I can hit ESC to end flight. If I end flight and choose a different airport it gets even weirder. It goes through the loading process and then I'm sitting there in the same aircraft even though I changed it with the same view out the window. Uh? Hi all, I hope someone can help... I am building a flight model and I am seeing a problem when I start to use a real world 'dry weight' in the aircraft cfg file. The model shakes and 'trembles' when it is not running and just sitting on the tarmac. This problem goes away when I reduce the dry weight but everything else is built around that weight so I would rather use it correctly. Any ideas as to where else the fix for this might be?

I've renamed my AI control utility from AISIDSTAR to AIController, so I'm starting a beta thread under the new name to avoid confusion. The old thread was very long too. Why the name change? Last night I flew IFR from Princess Juliana to Guantanamo Bay. I was at 12,000 feet, 10 miles from the destination when I was handed to the tower and cleared to land, and to descend to about 2000. Ack! What do you want me to do? Then they started barking orders at me and I couldn't keep up, stalled and crashed. That's why there is more than one person in a cockpit. Dear all, I purchased lately majestic q400, which has a control lock lever ( i Think also known as gurt lock or in some documents aileron lock). I put a lot of effort to find the keyboard assignement for this Level so i can Mappe it to my throttle quadrant...but i can simply not find it.... May be someone knows it? Thank you in advance!

I just installed windows 10 and I’m trying to decide if I should reinstall FSX or FSX Steam. My main question is that, will my current FSX products that I have bought be compatible with Steam? I have bought a lot of products like PMDG, REX etc. I don’t want to install Steam if they won’t work.

When purchasing "group Add-on's", I am to understand that if one of them turns out to cause problems, you will need to make a request through Steam to remove the entire package. In my case, I wanted HD Airports removed, but since I bought this with 6 aircraft, they all have to be removed. It makes no sense to me, just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.
