About 4 days ago I noticed that the ground textures on my sim were blurry. I have no idea what has caused this, I've never had this problem before. It seems to have started suddenly completely out of the blue and I can't fix it. I've tried EVERYTHING. At first I simply thought restarting my sim would fix it, but it didn't. I restarted my computer and that didn't fix it either. I even completely uninstalled FSX and reinstalled it and that didn't fix it either. The only thing that has seemly partially fixed it is limiting my frame rate to 24FPS and then setting fsx fiber_frame_time_fraction to 0.50. After doing that my textures only blur at random. My throttle in Carendo Cessna 182 is closed when pulled out and full open when pushed in.Is this correct?I assign and calibrate with FSUIPC.Thank you.Ron

For some reason the engine sounds in my aircraft VC are really quite unless I turn my camera view around. I made sure that my sound card was set to stereo and not "surround sound." In fact, it says that spatial sound is not even available. Additionally, the drivers are up to date. I also tried turning off the left/right separation in my headphones. Nevertheless, the problem persists. Any ideas? I have a Realtek headphone plugged in.

There are a few software authors who next thing I wait for with such joyous anticipation. One such author is Ray Smith and he has just released an updated KFLL. if you haven't tried his freeware airports for FSX then it's well worth the bandwidth and minimal installation effort to give them a go. I have been out of FSX for quite a while for many personal reasons and tried to load it up without success yesterday. Let me explain that FSX lives on set of ssd's that I have to switch from WIN10 to WIN7 in the BIOS of my computer whenever i want to play FSX. That had always worked without any problem until I switched to a RTX2080super from the old GTX980. I have recently been runing XPlane 11 on the WIN10 side and I am about fed up with it's ability to eat my resources and figured I would go back to FSX. Anyhow when I switched to the WIN7 side I could not find any Nvidia drivers that were compatible with RTX2080s? Is this correct? If so, is there a way to migrate…

Hello Folks; The issue I have having is I can't seem to find a big enough gate that would accommodate the PMDG 747-8 to work with FSDT GSX for FSX. Any "Heavy" gate I park at and select GSX support I get an error message stating that the gate is too small for the -8 to accommodate the GSX support. I am using the FlightBeam KSFO so I am hoping that someone out there may have had the same issue and finally found a gate out of the numerous ones listed that works. I am beginning to think that it may only work in an large open area where there are no gates and has a huge open space. Thanks. Forshaw.

I use FSUIPC in conjunction with FSX-SE to control all my aircraft from the PMDG models to the stock aircraft without issue. I have a set of CH Rudder Pedals, Yoke and Throttle Quad. FSUIPC controls every aircraft properly except Manfred Jahn's Douglas C-47 Beta V3.14. I have defined separate prop, throttle and mixture controls in FSUIPC as "Send direct to FSUIPC for Calibration" for each CH throttle lever. Prop and mixture controls work properly but the throttle controls do not seem to interface with the sims throttles so they do not move from idle cutoff. What am I missing? Hey all! Quick question. Is there a freeware program that is like a preferential bidding system for airline pilots for FSX? Like for instance, I can select the lines I want to fly? I've been having a bit of a rennaissance with FSX:SE on a rig built for portable use on the road...my home rig is full-up P3Dv4 on a 55" monitor, high-end controls etc, but I have been experimenting with my old trusty FSX stuff on the portable machine. When I moved to P3D, I was still using Active Sky Next, and I now use Active Sky 2016 for P3Dv4 as my go-to weather engine. I never used AS2016 in FSX, and right now I have ASN back up and running, and frankly i don't see a lot of difference between it and my ASP4 setup in P3D. Does anyone have any observations as to what AS2016 brings to the table in FSX that would justify an upgrade from ASN? Regards

I recently purchased the new Captain Sim 757-III. However, I don't have any sounds for the switches, packs, levers, etc. I only have engine sounds. I looked around and noticed that the sound files for all those are in FSX\Captain_Sim\757-III\sound, and there are TSS files in SimObjects\Airplanes\CS757\sound. I also noticed that there is a sound.ini file in the 757-III folder. However, it is not configured so that it can be used as a .cfg file for the aircraft. Is there a way to get the sound from the CS folder into the SimObjects folder so that I can use the default sound pack?

Hi, so recently my installation of FSX has been stuttering. What I get is an hourglass and then FSX stops very briefly and then starts again. If I pause it then I get a brief flash of my desktop and then the flight continues. Assistance would be appreciated thank you Ed

Hi everyone, I've just downloaded the Wilco 7X and found there to be a very annoying problem: I can't adjust the speed on the autopilot panel to a higher setting. The indicated number is 250kts and by right clicking on the tuning knob, I can adjust it to as low as 150kts, but never am I able to go up from the current setting. Does anyone have a solution to this problem or know a workaround, it's pretty annoying only being able to fly 250kts at 30,000ft. Thanks in advance!

I assigned the number pad Enter for my brakes to set on all aircraft. I am using the box edition of FSX Gold. Windows 7, and everything has always worked. Now I press the button and no brakes. I tried to reassign it to various other keys and nothing happens. I can manually click on the aircraft brakes and they apply and turn off. Also, I no longer hear my GSX ground sounds. I can hear all FSX sounds such as engines, ATC, etc but GSX no longer makes sounds. I upgraded my system from 4 cores to 8, I changed my NVIDIA 750 to an NVIDIA 1060, and I changed my standard Hard Drive to a SSD. Don't know why that would affect anything. I did monkey around wi…

I have fSX acceleration sp2 installed. Have it for many years on a new pc, and it runs great. I was feeling nostalgic for fs2004, as some of the aircraft addons for it weren't developed for fsx. (such as my favourite PSS Dash 8 from Just Flight). So I started installing fs2004, but when disc 3 was inserted, the installation froze. I figured fs2004 is not compatible with windows 10. (on my previous pc I had windows 7 running fs2004)/ Then I started fsx, and got two mesages: 1. the scenery.cfg is missing, please reinstall fsx. 2. ditto for terrain.cfg. OK. I upgraded my hardware and re-installed most of my add-ons and I have applied Word Not Allowed'S TWEAKS. I am using Windows 7, 8 cores, NVIDIA 1060, 16 GB RAM, and SSD. FSX Acceleration. I use to use NIVIDIA Inspector and so I downloaded the latest version and the drop down box for games only show FS 2000. I can't find the old NVIDIA Inspector. Anyone know what happened or how I can get the inspector for FSX?

Hey gals I just started flying in steam could use a little help.I have a lot of Orbx scenery in FSX but also have addit and every thing is off except Oregon,Northern and southern Calif..I have FSX turn way down.I can not fly 5 min. and have to re set scenery and when I get to landing frame rates go by by and stalls a lot .I have it set now at 30 fps it runs right at 29.0 to 29.4 I have try unlimited no change. Hi, I've been having a serious problem with the interaction between FSX and Radar Contact. I have a thread on the Radar Contact forum the title is starting Radar Contact when in flight. I've discussed the issue rather thoroughly with Ray Proudfoot and have decided that the issue either lies somewhere in FSX or possibly in my OS (Win 10 Pro build 1903) with all updates-. Please review the thread and if you have an extensive knowledge of FSX your assistance would be appreciated System Intel I7 3.4ghz quad core, 8GB DDR4 Ram, Zotac GTX 1050i Graphics card and 3TB SATA HDD. Had all kinds of problems with my previous installation of FSX on Win 7 Pro.. Finally purchased another SSD and Windows 10 Home and Pro. (didn't realize I purchased both). Installed Home and did a clean install of FSX Deluxe plus Acceleration. Does it matter what order I install all of my addon Scenery? I have; FSG North America US East and West, Canada and Mexico, and World American Data Roads, Streams, Rails Utilities FS Pilot Shop JFD-390, MSE 160-1 thru7, FSG115, 320-1,2 & 3, AKHI, & FSGATAP_US_HI GE Pro FTX_AU, NA, OLC, Global Base,OPen NA, Buildings, Trees, Southern Alaska, PAEN, PAHO, PAJN, PAKT, PAVD & PAYA.

Hello Everyone, I came across this web site today as I was trying to figure out why KCMH ILS 28L in FSX was so outdated and how I was going to fix it. http://www.aero.sors.fr/index.html The site contains files to update the FSX/P3D nav database (VOR, NDB, ILS, Runway Headings, etc.) to the latest AIRAC 1602. It is free. I have been using these updates for a few hours and all is good so far. This is a major improvement to the really outdated FSX database. I did not know this site existed or that you could update the stock FSX database. I am just sharing the information. recently i had to delete Steam due to a different game not working, Today since its raining, I decided to do some flying on FSX Noticed that the Icon was missing and i when i found the game in Steam, It started to download and a fresh install. When l loaded up the game, none of my add-ons can be seen , But i have all the add-ons in downloads but i cant find anything in program files 86 what i thought about doing is doing a save now, but do a recovery going back to the time i did a major update on FSX. Any thoughts on how to get everything the way it was, I did a lot of work adding planes via FLIa , (Doha, Bangkok) and i dont want to loose those

Hi Folks. I have tried for a long time now to figger out why I cannot get the Nav1 OBS heading bug and course selector to move by using a toggle on my CH yoke. The Nav2 OBS responds to my toggle button input and other aircraft will allow me to use a toggle to increase and decrease the heading bug and course selector. However, as I say the Nav1 display in the Duke has me beat. I have tried various options in FSUIPC but not LINDA as I have no experience with it. Can anyone advise if there is something hard coded in the gauge to stop a toggle button from operating it. The mouse will of course operate it but I'd like to use a side to side toggle. I made a flight plan from Sandspit CYZP to Vancouver Int CYVR. Immediately after takeoff at some hundreds feet altitude I could contact Vancouver centre and have a request for flight following approved. But wait this makes no sense since the center uses a VHF frequency. And such frequency bands only have line in sight range. So how could a possible talk to a controller when Vancouver is some 400 nm away ?

Hi everyone. With the new Istanbul airport (LTFM) opened a few months ago I want to transfer AI traffic from old Ataturk airport (LTBA) in the city to the new one in FSX. I use Ultimate Traffic 2 . Is there any way to do so ? Nike
