Hello. All Have not been on the forum for some time, but now need some help. Have been running Windows 10 and FSX for quite some time without any problems. But the other day on start up, received a message saying not to use FSUIPC, with two options, run or don’t run FSUIPC, So pressed run, this instantly shut down FSX, so tried don’t run, FSX continue to open but no FSUIPC nothing showing in the FSX addon menu. hence no Hardware working. Once again Windows 10 has taken control of my computer and stopped me flying. This is the most intrusive OS I have ever come across, it gives me the option to run FSUIPC but the just shuts down FSX. …

Recently added some really nice Rio De Janeiro scenery but a new problem has reared itself. See screenshot below. The plane is the Ruth Thomas L1011.....but it keeps becoming invisible and I have no clue why.....or what to do about it. Anyone else ever seen this ?

Runway 6 misaligned in fsx_urss.zip (SOCHI) file. I was looking for a more comprehensive (freeware) rendering of SOCHI's airport and came across this file "fsx_urss.zip" on AVSIM. After installation the airport was significantly better than the default FSX (SE) one however when loading the airport selecting "active runway", the aircraft is not aligned on the centre line but slightly to the right of it. Same thing with the ILS approach - it also slightly to the right of the centre line. Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a fix for it? I switched from one PC to another PC with FSX SE, basic memory error. Found the bug in the meantime, it's a Steam add-on. Now I have the following problems: After completely reinstalling Steam + FSX, there are no more missions and there is no way to save or load the game. I have created a save folder. But it is not accepted either. How can you set in which folder the saves are saved and loaded?As I said, a complete reinstallation without addons on a formatted hard drive.

Anyone else having this issue? It's more of a nusiance since it doesn't seem to be causing issues, but when I allow Steam to verify my FSX files, it brings this error up each time... "3 files failed to validate and will be reacquired"

I usually use the DX10, since most of my aircraft support that format. The parking arrows dont quite work, and even using FS Commander as a guide I still get lost sometimes, is there a free follow me car out there that works with add on ATC? I'll take a payware if that's all that is out there.

As you can see by the title, i can't turn on autopilot for iFly 737NG even though i click it lots of time, i can arm LNAV and VNAV, for some reason i was able to turn on A/P on ground, And i also have my IRS aligned.

Is anyone here familiar with this addon from the Rikoooo website? I recently filled my FSX:SE skies with a TON of AI traffic from here and AIG and thought it would be fun to play with this little toy and watch all the shiny new (...to me...LoL) aircraft come and go from the tower perspective. It works great but there's one teeny tiny little problem. There's no radio panel so my only choice is listening to ATC ground at whatever airport I'm at. I couldn't make sense of the Rikoooo forum to do any research there so I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows how I might be able to add a radio panel so I can switch from ground to tower frequencies. Hello guys, I bought me the Immersion from orbx. I installed the Orbx Central but when I try to download anything there I get the message saying: Error. Manifest could not be saved and downloaded. I already wrote them an E-mail but they didn‘t help me.... Thanks for helping, Julius Ott✈️

Now- this might seem to be a strange question, but there is a need for this. Let me explain: i am running a formation flight team for FSX. One of my pilots has ORBX scenery and the rest of us do not. The pilot that has ORBX installed sees the rest of us either not on a runway/taxiway and depending upon the airport that we are at, she may see us as either underground or levitated 10 meters or so above mother earth. Obviously, this is an issue caused by the more accurate airport layouts and elevations of the ORBX scenery package, surely, there must be a way to disable the area you are flying in on a temporary basis.

I’m using specifically Ray Smith’s KDTW AFCAD combined with intersection and magnetic variation updates from aero.sors.fr. What I notice is when adding the fixes along the approach from the ILS 4L approach chart, I can follow the approach in conjunction with the GPS fine. I do use default aircraft and fly SIDS and STARS with them. However as soon as I switch to the ILS frequency, the aircraft turns to the right to intercept the localizer. As I can see the real current approach is not properly aligned with 4L in FSX. If I use default FSX ILS 4L which of course would be from around 2006, it is perfectly aligned to the runway. I just have one question, regarding themes and installing cloud textures and such... I have a saved theme, now do I need to 'install' that theme each and every time I start Skyforce, or will it 'remember' that theme and inject itself into the FSX-SE with no further input from me?

Have been thinking of buying this recent rendition of this iconic aircraft, the demo looks very good, however handling the aircraft as a one pilot crew really does require an autopilot able to hold altitude reliably when trimmed of course, I would appreciate any feedback from other simmers who have already shelled out £40. Hi there, I'll Stary with saying that I'm fairly new as an avsimmer so please be patient. I'll be as straight forward as possible. I'm getting FSX and eventually PMDG 737NG package. What i would like to achieve is to have a FMC on one tablet ( and that is easily doable) and on the other tablet i would like to have a Navigation Display. I haven't seen any on android tablets. Any suggestions please Thank you in advance Andrew

I was flying into ORBX LOWI recently with the PMDG 737-800, the gorund was fuzzy and some of the buildings were fuzzy, in the background the mountains were just shapes, there was no detail whatsoever. I am running FSX:SE with a i3-8530k CPU and a rx580 GPU. Any sugestions?? Its bugging me?? Piers

I've been importing a bunch of AIG flight plans into FSX over the past few months. Not an easy task, but during the process I found a great app titled AI Companion on the AIG forum. It was designed primarily for P3Dv4, but still usable with some restrictions in FSX. Today the author released a FSX version that enabled the Live traffic view. Note: This only works with BGL traffic files and therefore isn't useful for UTL or UT2. Ernie

Some of you must have gone through this earlier but I just noticed that all my four FB sceneries are missing buildings. Obviously an ever annoying activation issue. I heard that they have separated from FSDT but I assumed I could continue to use my installed products as normal. There seems to be awful little information about this, but should I uninstall the old versions and reinstall or what. Again a day in flight simulation when the funtime goes down the drain due to middle finger showing addon producers.

Good evening everyone! So basically I recently upgraded my PC to a multi - hard drive system and plugged in some old hard drives that I had from a couple of years ago. Inside I found out that I had bought an older version of ORBX's Global Vectors. Unfortunately though, when I tried installing them, the installer didn't ask for my FSX installation folder and just started installing the addon on its own. The problem though is that even though I recently uninstalled and reinstalled FSX to a newer hard drive, the FTX Global Vectors Installation started installing the addon on my previous installation folder for FSX Steam Edition on another drive, where the game…

hi everybody, just bought the An-2 from atsimulations. I owned the Sibwings one before. but lost the Serial No. some time ago. The Sibwings worked great. But the ATS is making Problems. The Virtual Cockpit keeps disappearing after some secons. Only some parts are visible. In external View i have some Black textures. Im in Contact with the Developer but thought some of you might have ideas. What i did so far: Trying DX10 on/off. Clean reinstall without any tweaks or other addons. turned antivir and Firewall of while installing and flying. So Far Nothing had helped. So Long Jazz

I installed Tom's L1011 and it works well. But I noticed in the config files that no sound files were added and instead, the L1011 uses an alias so that I assume it uses the sounds (wav files) for the B737 since all that is in the in the sound.cfg file says the following.... [fltsim] alias=B737_800\sound The problem is....the sounds from the L1011 are very different from those of the B737_800 It's as if the L1011 is getting it's sounds from somewhere else in spite of the configuration. Help?

I was just curious how high (altitude) FSX would allow you to go.....apparently pretty high.....Incredible the distance you can see to the horizon at different altitudes. (Also, Cessna was misspelled below...must have been the lack of O2 ? Also, just underneath the 172 is Elon Musk's Red car with astronaut.

How can I open and modify the .Air file? used to open them with adobe air but this stopped working.

Hello gentlemen, I've installed Thomas Ruth's L1011 and I'm having a throttle or thrust issue I'm wondering if anyone knows an adjustment that might be made in the aircraft.cfg file to remedy this. What happens is that even at very low throttle settings, the plane seems to fly too fast. For example, I can have the throttle set to 5% throttle and the plane still can climb and maintain 300 knots or better. To slow down below 250 knots I have to reduce throttle to about 1%. It only seems to be this way for this one aircraft so I'm thinking it must be a configuration issue in this particular aircraft's config file (but I'm not sure). I do not want to adj…

I was flying the default beechcraft baron B-58 2-3 months ago i was practicing sharp turns and i stalled and entered a flat spin after recovering the sim crashed and didnt bother to re-launch it yesterday i wanted to take it for a spin, after i launched the flight the plane keeps spinning and going up and down and flying backwards in an uncontrolable manner when in switch the view i find the props on both engines missing. After fixing what Best Buy’s Geek Patrol screwed up, ( don’t ever use them! ) I had to reinstall all my flight sim software, including steam. My favorite plane is the eagle soft Citation X. Before my issues I was able to get up and flying with no problems, including using the auto pilot and auto nav. Now I can set up a flight plan, go through all the steps but after getting airborne, and activating the autopilot, it doesn’t track the waypoints and nav settings. Could someone please write the steps you use and may be it can help me see a step I’m missing? also, my vnav doesn’t work. Any thoughts?
