February 5, 20206 yr I’m using specifically Ray Smith’s KDTW AFCAD combined with intersection and magnetic variation updates from aero.sors.fr. What I notice is when adding the fixes along the approach from the ILS 4L approach chart, I can follow the approach in conjunction with the GPS fine. I do use default aircraft and fly SIDS and STARS with them. However as soon as I switch to the ILS frequency, the aircraft turns to the right to intercept the localizer. As I can see the real current approach is not properly aligned with 4L in FSX. If I use default FSX ILS 4L which of course would be from around 2006, it is perfectly aligned to the runway. I’m not sure what is causing this. I do not have this problem with all the other airports that I fly in and out of. I’m wondering if anyone else has or had this issue and if so, is there a way to fix it? Thanks.
