Try turning off "Aircraft casts ground shadow" in your settings. This was suggested for some FS9

models being used in FSX, but it's worth a quick try.
  2. charliearon's post in (Help!) FSX 737 tilting/stalling on approach! was marked as the answer
For a short flight, let's say 500 miles or less I start with no more than 50% in each tank.  Cruise altitude of at least FLT340, MACH speed set at cruise

of about .72.  I create IFR flight plans and let ATC run me ragged with all of the altitude and heading changes.  If you haven't tried an ILS approach

yet, it may be a good time to learn this proceedure.
  3. charliearon's post in Question regarding the FSX Learning Center was marked as the answer
After attempting the lessons a few times and having Rod become annoyed with me in short order,

I've never finished a lesson.  Is there suppose to be a "Lesson Successful" Banner or something

that pops up at the end?  I did accomplish the "Solo Flight" and "PPL" a while back  and remember

the "Sweetie" in charge never happened to mention "Land the plane, fool" at the end of the

flight.  I finally figured that out on my own.

If you  accomplished the requirements of that lesson, then I would push onward.
  4. charliearon's post in Traffic FSX gone... was marked as the answer
Look in FSX/Scenery/World/Scenery for trafficAircraft.bgl.   This is where the default traffic comes

from.  The other program may have changed the extension to something else.
  5. charliearon's post in strange exhaust was marked as the answer
Go to the Library and download and run this program to fix your effects that got corrupted.

    gauges_recovery_fsx.zip
  6. charliearon's post in How to adjust head pan speed in VC? was marked as the answer
I was just playing around in my Iris T-6.  I assume you are describing head movement in

the cockpit using the spacebar+mouse and not something like TrackIR.  Mine seemed

very smooth considering I have a 2 GZ. processor and had a download going at the

    same time.
  7. charliearon's post in Suddenly FSX refuses to open. was marked as the answer
If you are not getting past the "Splash Screen" there may be a problem with your

logbook. (It happens)!  Go to My Documents/Flight Simulator X Folder,

open it and find the logbook.bin file.  Re-name it so it's saved and then

start your Sim to see if it works.  You can always download a logbook

repair program to fix the original logbook.bin file.
  8. charliearon's post in Default FSX wingtip texture ("smoke") was marked as the answer
Look for gauges_recovery_fsx.zip  here in the AVSIM library or at Flightsim.com

Run the downloaded program to fix effects file that have been corrupted.
  9. charliearon's post in FSX Start up issue was marked as the answer
Light blue opening screen as in "Splash Screen"?  During your install did you start FSX and initiate a flight before moving on to the Acceleration install?

Try going to My Documents/Flight SimulatorX Files and rename your Logbook.bin file.  Start FSX and see if it will go past the Splash Screen.

Check your sound settings in Control Panel to see if it's being directed towards earphones.
